We went in for breakfast, and instead received the worst service one could expect. Having ordered, the food came out and when we informed our waiter that he had made a mistake (politely mind you) and brought the wrong dish, he explained in no uncertain terms that we were wrong and that he brought out what I had ordered. Come to find out when we called a different server over, so that we might speak to a manager, that our waiter WAS the manager...

The Victorian Dining Room at the Mendocino Hotel is a warm and inviting environment. When we walked in to this beautiful Hotel, looking for a bite to eat, we were met by the Hostess, we asked her what the specialty of the house was, she suggested the Prime Rib of Beef and the Seared Jumbo Scallops. Both items were seasoned to perfection, and the wine the waiter suggested to pair was delicious, a perfect match and a must do when in Mendocino!

We got in earlier than the brunch time crowd on the 4th of July, and had a great service experience, all throughout, despite them reaching full capacity within an hour. Ideal coffee refill rate, smiling faces, great breakfast foods, although the French toast could benefit from either more slices or larger slices. Will recommend to anyone who is going to be in the area.

Absolutely amazing location, beautiful inside and out - very enticing decor. Unfortunately, we did not stay the night here but we had an amazing dinner and dessert! Michael Davis helped us and he was spectacular! Thank you for the wonderful expiernce!!

The mendocino Hotel was like something out of the old west. It was built in the 1800 and the owners have kept it in pristine condition. mendocino is where the old TV show "Murder She Wrote" with Angela Lansbury was filmed. I could live here one day.

We sat in the garden bar. Our waiter was very nice. Unfortunately they were out of pizza dough so I had fish and chips,I choose sweet potato fries and my hubby had the burger. 12.95 each. Better prices than Mendocino cafe down the street.

Fun step back in time. Stopped in just for the scenery of days long gone. The old Victorian architecture is fun and festive. Have a wonderful breakfast in the Garden Suite! BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY

We had lunch there and the food was poor. The fish and chips tasted like the fryer had been changed in a while. You taste the flower in the clam chowder. The service was terrible!
