Ive had some bad edamame, tom kha, & "fried" rice before... But this place takes the cake. If the edamame wasnt overdone, it was slimy. Seemed like a quality or thawing issue. They at least had ponzu sauce, though! That made the edamame my favorite part of the meal. The tom kha was more like the liquid in sweet sticky rice: a little coconut, a LOT of sugar, & some salt. Very weird. No lemongrass taste whatsoever, despite there being bits of lemongrass in there. I will say the quality of the chicken in my soup was good, even if it was a $3 upcharge to add soup to my meal as opposed to what the menu said ($2). My orange chicken quality was fine. My "fried" rice smelled like a retirement home with a hint of fermentation and dirt. And it wasnt fried, in texture, taste, or content: it was brown, flavorless (apart from the aforementioned smells) rice. Nothing else in it. Speaking of smells, I could hardly bear to sit next to my husband when he got his sushi. The salmon was very much not fresh, which would be been more understandable if it had been tempura-battered or something but it was out there for the world to smell, and that seaweed was unbearable. I am not supposed to be able to smell it from 3 feet away. GROSS. Lastly, drinks. I get that this is a college town, but it sounds like they just pour heavy-handed and decide not to worry about flavor. I think thats the 1st time I left 3/4 of a drink unfinished - and I only drank 1/4 of it to get the nasty taste of that rice out of my mouth (I had to eat some - I was Starving & hadnt eaten all day!). Even the liquor portions themselves didnt mix well for a pleasant flavor. I can drink things straight, if they mix well, but they didnt. All in all, I have to ask: who the hell is in charge sampling the taste of these dishes and drinks before theyre put on the menu?? Because you have FAILED. Not a single item was good, apart from the quality of a few things previously mentioned. The ONLY redeeming quality of this place: the service. The bartender and our server were absolutely amazing, hustling, professional, personable, courteous, honest people. I hope you guys go to work at Saii or Gogo Sushi or ANYWHERE else so we can see you again. :)

Placing a to go order could not have been easier. Im sure we were on the phone for less than 30 seconds. At 12 dollars for two rolls I thought thought it was a little high compared to other sushi bars. When I received my meal I was immediately disappointed by the heft of the bag as I was expecting something much more substantial for the price. The hamachi (yellowtail tuna) looked and tasted as though it were composed of thin, short scraps of meat left over yesterday. The rice was mushy and totally void of flavor unlike other more respectable establishments. The Tuna roll on the other hand, was cut slightly better, being composed of two rectangular strips of a greyish pink flesh. It too was completely flavorless and mushy. Somehow, this restaurant managed to mess up pickled ginger, being like nothing else I have ever tasted at other places. It is clear that this new restaurant in Norman spent a great deal of money on its interior design which is sharp and reeks of hipster. And to pay for it, they serve third rate sushi for inflated prices.

Update: 04/15/17: Ordered a steak to go and got a steak that was about 30% fat. It wasnt that good. I ordered it medium rare and it was over cooked. First time here. The appetizers were fantastic. We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and calamari. Spot on and delicious. The main couse was good but not impressive. I ordered the ginger stir fry with steak and shrimp, my wife noodles and shrimp. My food was bland and not very spicy as ordered. The portion was good no complaints on how much steak and shrimp were part of the meal. My wifes noodles were mushy and she didnt care for the dish over all. Drinks were well made and slightly on the stronger side. Service was FANTASTIC! From the hostess to the bill, we were very well taken care of.

This is my favorite restaurant in Norman. The sushi is always fresh and tastes great. Matt (grey hair and beard) and the other guys always impress. They make the best spicy tuna Ive ever had and the Jalapeño Bomb is the best. Eight pieces of sashimi, four kinds, two pieces each. They sit in a citrus dressing and the plate is finished with a radish and carrot slaw. We get it as an appetizer before some rolls for dinner. They also have three curries (red, yellow and green), the best fried rice Ive ever had (shrimp and pineapple is the way to go) and other Asian varieties of food. Thats why they call it a fusion restaurant. You cant go wrong at O.

Wish there was less than one star to give. Ive been here countless times and service has always been perfect. Apparently they have new management, employees, or whatever you want to call this worthless staff. Wrong food...no problem, that happens. "Can I get a box?" Yea. 20 minutes later..still no box. Also, no refills to comfort us on our ungodly wait. "Can I get the check?" 20 minutes later (literally) we finally get to leave after feeling like my wallet was assaulted. Thanks for wasting my Sunday. Never again. P.S. There were two servers, not including the bartender, and four tables, including mine.

Great food! Great prices! I love that they used an old Pizza Hut building. It still looks really tacky from the outside but its beautiful inside. Every thing Ive eaten-in or taken-out from here has been great. The only complaint Ive heard is from my father and I was there to witness it. He ordered a lo-mein entree and he received some sort of bizarre, awful rice noodles. (According to the waiter, the order was made correctly so... either every other Chinese place in the country is wrong or... I dont know. )

This place has excellent stirfry. However the service has almost always been extremely slow and slightly inconsiderate. Usually only one server taking care of the whole place with a manager who never seems to be doing much of anything. One manager actually offered us a gift card after we complained of a service issue, but have not recieved good service from this place since. If they can step up their service this place would be a great date night place. Nice interior decor, decent prices and good food.

Fantastic restaurant. I loved how the menu not only had cooked sushi but had a notation system to made it easy. Since this was the first time Ive been there, we ordered the sampler appetizer-really good, three kinds of sushi (the heavenly roll was amazing), stir fry, and green tea ice cream. The ice cream is hard to describe but was really different and good. it almost tastes like pumpkin ice cream somehow. Overall this is the best Asian place in Norman. I hope they open one on the west side soon!!

Quite simply, every meal Ive eaten here has been phenomenal. The lo mein is always fresh and hot from the kitchen, and the vegetables and meats fresh. The sushi was excellent, and fairly priced. Service is always pretty good, but their food is what makes me keep coming back. The atmosphere is great, although it can get quite loud in the low ceilinged room. If youre looking for a good Asian cuisine fix, fair prices, and great food - Id definitely recommend.
