I have come to this restaurant at least 5 other times outside of the last time whwn I oreder a curry *it was the only one that didnt have baby corn in it and I dont like baby corn * it came out with what BABY CORN! I didnt say anything I just picked it out and ate it my potatos all were brown like they were bad but again I didnt complain. I have had Pad Thai many times over and I know how the dish should be cooked the previous two times I have the Pad Thai here it was good and it was super different today. The cook made something thst looked like a nice try at the dish. Now I never complain or send food back but my Pad Thai was orange like it was dunked in a bottled sauce you get from the Asian section at the grocery store. (yes I tried to make it at home with one of these and it waa gross) so I requested it to be sent back I didnt want to not pay I offred but some guy came over and asked if i wanted it remade... How are you going to remake something you screwed up? NO THANKS so I asked for a simple vegtable fried rice.... And they ruined that too it has zucchini and water chestnut in it WHAT IS YOUR COOK DOING? Besides running away customers. Shame on you King thai Dont eat here! I never will

**New Edit** Now under new ownership, the boat pho (beef blood pho) used to be my boyfriends and I favorite thing here. Now they completely butchered it and my mother doesnt like it. She refuses to go here for food anymore. The new recipe is more darker than usual (before you could see the separation between the blood and the broth, there is less vegetables, and each spoonful of the pho is like a spoonful of pure oil. I cant say much about the other food, but I can say a lot about the boat pho. Now, my boyfriend and I are in search of a new place. And I feel awfully sad that this local restaurant not be receiving anymore of mine or my familya business until the food is up to par again. **Previous Post** My boyfriend is so surprised that he can find such a good meal for such a good price in Minnesota! This is the place for really good Asian food! Especially boat pho, which u cant find anywhere else in the Twin Cities area. And we often come here on the weekends and the waitresses know our order so well and theyre so amazing! Keep up the great work!

I wish I could say good things about this place but nope everything about the bad service is true. My friend and I agree to give this place a chance since most of our relatives seem to like this place but man are we heavily mistaken. The workers doesnt seem like they are happy to be there, the place is not well clean. The outside and the entrance seem to smell of cigarettes which is not a good environment to bring kids to. Took a while for them to find us a table and then the waitress who serve us just walk away not coming back to take our orders at all. We had to call to them again just to remind her and then after placing our order it then took almost an hour for our food to be made. Just a slow and terrible service. After that visit its clear that this is one restaurant we surely will not come back. If you want to go to a restaurant that knows how to treat customer well and had quality service I recommend just go to Tayho or Bangkok Thai Deli a few blocks away instead. King Thai is not worth your time and money.

Horrible service!!! I didnt want to give a 1 star but I had to to comment. I placed my order over the phone and the lady told me 30 mins... 30 mins later I went in and said I was here to pick up and she said she will have them bring it out. Before I can say ok she talked over me and ask the group behind me what they need. So I sat down n waited 10 mins until I finally got annoyed and went to the desk again and asked about my order to a lady standing there and she just walked away! Finally a guy came and ask me what I need and I told him I ordered my food over 45 mins ago already! He finally went to check and my order was just sitting on the table! There was two working across from me and they didnt even help! Horrible place. I would never go back again!!!

We wandered into this gem by a happy mistake and we will definitely be making repeat visits. The staff was attentive and very friendly, which added to the already inviting atmosphere. The cream cheese wontons were outstanding - nice and crispy and served with a lovely sweet and sour sauce. I recommend the Drunken Noodle to satisfy a serious Thai craving. The sauce was perfection and the veggies tasted fresh and werent overcooked. If youre looking for something more mildly spiced, the Crazy Curry is a great option. Our waitress described it as a Thai Alfredo and that proved to be pretty spot on. The servings were generous and the prices were fair. King Thai definitely brought their A game to the competitive restaurant scene of Midway St. Paul!

I advise you to take caution in eating here. We have been here a few times with ok service and food but my last visit this pass weekend was horrible and will be my last. We waited for 20 minutes for a waitress to come take our order, an hour for our food and we left within 5 minutes of receiving our food because we can smell the spoiled food within seconds. The pho was old and tasted funny (took one bite), sticky rice was spoiled (Gooey slimy, where you can smell the sour, spoiled, long overdue rice) and beef cooked laab was very salty. Nothing was right from the get-go. Will never return here again.

Dont buy this at King Thai Rest it will waste your money. 1: Papaya Salad is not good very bad. 2: The combo plate which was $14, it was come with papaya, eggrolls, chicken wings, sausage, and rice. What I got for my combo plate at King Thai Rest was 2 mini eggrolls, mini papaya salad, chicken wings like 3 day old taste disgusting, sausage was brown dont look fresh at all and taste disgusting, and rice was ok. The combo plate should have been serve better such as full size eggrolls, full side papaya salad, at least 4 pieces chicken wings.

Food is always good. The service is slow. There isnt always a greeter. The waiters are often young folks and water may not be always filled but food is bomb! I would go back for the food especially the lobster and the pork intestines! 12.5.16 update- bad service. I guess the owner sold the resturant. New owners. Bad service. Screwed up your order. Made me waited an hour only to find out someone else had the same name. They wont give me a discount for screwing up my order. The food suck this time. Will not be eating here again.

If i could give 0 stars, I would. Their service is poor it was horrible af! My family and I (5) were waiting for a really long time. When we got there, we had to wait for the table to be set up around 1:25pm (9-24-2017). We ordered our food and waited patiently. Other people who came after us got their food before us and they had more people than us. We only ordered 2 jumbo pho, 1 regular pho, and one order of egg rolls. We waited for 45 mins and did not get our food! We decided to walk out.
