Terrible. My boyfriend and I went there recently and we both ordered fajitas. I got shrimp and he got steak. There was no fajita seasoning on the meat. The vegetables were cubed not sliced. Its like the cook had no idea what fajitas were supposed to look like. The vegetables were taking over the plate, hardly any meat. We complained to the manager and he took my boyfriends plate to the kitchen and brought it back and it looked exactly same. We wont be going back. We go to Las Margaritas now. Dont waste your money at El Vaquero- at least this location.

Ordered a flavored lemonade and was brought tea instead. Ordered a steak fajita and was brought 80% veggies and 20% meat. The steak had no seasoning so I requested a1. I was then denied it 10 mins after my food sat. Every other location has it in stock. So I asked to have my fajita taken off the bill. The waitress got rude and walked off to ask the manager if it was possible. She returned mad because he gave her the okay to. Salsa looks as if it has sat out all day. Poor mannered employees, and food quality. Would rate 0 stars if poss.

Id give 0 stars if it were an option. El Vaquero is a franchise and this location is micromanaged garbage. Typing this review right now at their bar! First off, El Vaquero has great food. The location off of Olentangy gives you literally double the amount (of tacos) for the same price. Also they dont give you a hard time if you ask for less ice in your margarita at this location. Bottom line: good food, small tacos, and they refuse to give you less ice in the margaritas.

Wasnt that great...my family came from out of town and we chose to eat there. 3 of us ordered the beef chimichangas and there was barely any meat in them. The waitress wasnt very attentive for a larger party and kept messing up our drink refills with something nobody in the party was even drinking! It had been over a year since our last visit and with this experience.....I seriously doubt well go back considering the options in Columbus for mexican cuisine.

This particular location is really inconsistent, which would be my primary complaint. One time the food is really great and the next is pretty bland, overcooked/unfresh. Sometimes the service is good, sometimes it seems like your very presence is an annoyance and you sit there 15 min before anyone asks if someone took your drink order... And when the answer, sadly is No a long belabored heavy sigh and "what do you want"... Its a roulette restaurant.

Tonight I dined with a couple of my friends at El Vaquero on Dublin Granville Road. When we arrived it seemed a little chilly but then realized there was no heat and the building was about 40 degrees. Then while eating I noticed a small creature running across the floor. IT WAS A MOUSE! Im super disappointed there was no sign or notice that they had no heat. And then we had to notify staff that there was a RODENT. Im scared to go back!! (Beware)

I cant say enough good things about this place!! Ive never had a bad experience with wait staff, food, or pricing. Meals always come out promptly; they include unlimited free chips and salsa, prices are relatively inexpensive, and their margaritas are amazing! I get take out at least once a week, and I eat in a couple times a month. This location is probably my favorite one out of the chain in Columbus, too.

I have a young special needs son. There is one employee who is amazing with my son and he actually request her. When I was there this evening she was sent home early because the manager felt she was spending too much time with him. How is making sure every patron feels welcome and accepted a bad thing? I cant believe they punished an amazing employee for being a good person! Definitely wont be back.

A friend of mine said she didnt care for this El Vaquero, but I like it a lot. Servers are quick and attentive but dont hover. I havent had a bad meal there but I have to admit I mostly get the same thing every time because its so good - the huevos rancheros. The atmosphere is very nice and the outdoor seating is enjoyable.

Worst. Tried to buy chips and salsa to go. Charged $15, tipped $5 and received DISGUSTING chips and barely any salsa. Dined here 10 times. Always sucks. Servers and Bartenders on their phones all the time and food sucks. Not bad, sucks. Worst part is as I ordered to go food servers hands were dirty and atunk of cigarettes

The chips and salsa are amazing here, but the food can be hit or miss lately. If your craving large portions of American - mexican cuisine then this is your place. However I prefer places that put a little more time and effort into making my food special vs just large portions and quick turnover. Two foodies okayd.

Worst experience in my life I found plastic in my food, my food was cold and my girlfriend found hair in the chips. Should have known something was wrong when the food came out so quick. I should of look at the reviews before I went to this place because my experience is the same as others below.

Burritos are simply tiny, wrapped refried beans. Taco bell smothered burritos are half the cost and three times the quality. Queso was cold and water was cold to come by. Wait staff was speaking rudely amongst themselves about us, not realizing we speak spanish

Every time I have been here I have received nothing but amazing service. Everyone is so kind and goes out of their way to say hi to me! I really like their food and the people make it worth the time being in the restaurant! By far one of my favorite places!

Ordered fish tacos..loaded them down with onions and after i scraped them off it was too salty. I love fish tacos theses are awfull go to Cocos. rude staff basically told me "too bad" would not offer a replacement. Re fried beans tasted awfull

I had to ask for a new waiter because the first gentleman was rude. No issues with the second waiter, he was very attentive and polite. The food was awful, I had a hair in mine. I will not return.

Found a piece of chicken in my vegitarian spinach enchiladas. Luckily was able to spit it out in time. My partners food was also cold which is surprising with how fast it came out.

Went for happy hour, waited 45 min and multiple servers in order to get served a single cerveza! Food is overpriced and not very good. Many other options to choose next time.
