NADA, ARENA DISTRICT Lunch, Tuesday, May 9 Im trying so hard to think of negative comments or areas that didnt impress me that I would be able to explain...THERE IS NOTHING TO WRITE. NOTHING! I had my very first visit to NADA was a lunchtime birthday treat yesterday. I had never been there before and had no idea what I was walking into, no idea. I could try to be creative or expressive in telling the reader about my lunch time experience and Im unable to be articulate and succinct to make it work. Therefore, each item listed is such a positive that my list alone will be helpful. A. Location...ARENA DISTRICT and its located with appropriate parking next door in the garage. B. Weather prevented us from using the patio but that would be a great date night treat. C. Interior set-up and decor is welcoming, warm, inviting.... even quiet if you ask me and Im talking 2-tops that are close to each other. D. STAFF....wow! Zach was our server... Im really looking for a stronger upscale professional term but what is it? I believe each employee has been extremely tested and vetted prior to selection. Thanks Zach. E. MENU...I enjoyed lunch so I dont know about dinner menu. Lunch menu could be perceived differently Im certain but to me it was extensive enough, creative, descriptive, very cost exciting....We had chips and one salsa and it was the hottest. Homemade salsa that was fresh, tasty and carried the heat and texture I needed with fresh warm chips. F. My Lunch Food. I had the lunch special of 2 tacos, 1 side and a special Almost Guilt Free dessert. We had the macaroni and cheese to share. I decided the Mac Cheese would be my complete meal next time and Id add a protein. I chose pork belly tacos and you cant prepare pork belly better than what I enjoyed. My side was their version of potatoes.... not describing them because theres no way to do them justice and with the lunch special their portion was larger than I could finish. Absolutely, NADA has hit me in the soul and Im hooked. My friend goes regularly and I understand why. What are you looking for? Lunch/dinner, food/ambiance, unique environment, staff thats beyond belief....NADA IS THE PLACE TO BE. Im thrilled to write my review and Im trying to find a negative area to discuss and cant do that.

Another over rated joint. Went in with almost no one in the place was confronted with an overpriced limited fake Mexican menu. Had to ask for chips and salsa and the chips of course were mostly broken little pieces from the bottom of a bag so asked for some fresh and got another whole basket of chips. Their salsa isnt really salsa its some kind of trendy stuff in a tiny little bottle cap masquerading as a container. There were two other kinds of sauce on the table both of which were mediocre red and green stuff. Nothing leapt out at me so I ordered the tacos and found out you could not get one of each to sample without paying an extra dollar per tiny taco. So I just settled on the chorizo which is supposed to be pork and what I got were tiny little half burnt pieces of mystery meat on 3 soggy half-dollar sized tortillas with a bit of green stuff tossed on top. You can get better tacos at your average Roach Coach on the streets of LA. There they will give you fresh ingredients and two tortillas per street taco to keep them from getting soggy falling apart and ending up in your lap like these do. There are a couple places in Columbus that will actually give you tacos and for far less then ending up spending $20 for this nonsense. Usually in a trendy place they ignore you but here the bartender kept coming over and asking me if I needed anything every couple minutes it seemed. People are always over impressed by overblown places like this more for the opportunity to say they hang around in Trendy places like the other trendy people. I say nada to Nada. Comprende amigo?

Someone from Nada Columbus has been crank-calling Subways and other fast-food restaurants and--in a fakey-Mexican accent--trying to order all sorts of burritos, tacos and Mexican rice. This forces the staff to--of course--explain to the caller that he hasnt called a Mexican restaurant and that they do not carry Mexican food. The caller continues, then finally berates the staff with lines like, "...you dont carry burr-REE-tos !? What kind of a restaurant IS this !?" In frustration, the staffers have to explain once again that the restaurant isnt a Mexican joint, wish him a good day and terminate the call. So...either a staff member or one of the owners of Nada Columbus apparently doesnt have enough to do and feels the need to waste other peoples on-the-clock time and resources. Perhaps this individual ( or individuals ) hasnt yet realised that Caller ID clearly identifies the fact that someone from Nada Columbus is calling ( ? ) Mexican joints--even upscale ones--are a dime a dozen these days and the food isnt really anything to write home about ( or even that good for you ), right ? Maybe instead of crank-calling, they should focus on providing decent fare for their OWN customers: after these experiences with our stores, it has simply put us totally off on ever dining there. Before this, we didnt even know they existed at all; now, we only think badly of them. Not exactly a way to promote your business, now is it....

Service - 1 star. Food - 4 stars. This was one of our favorite restaurants to go to in Cincinnati so we were very excited it finally came to Columbus. The food was very good but on Sat, March 7th the service was AWFUL and the waiter seemed clueless. It took FOREVER to get our food, to get our drinks or anything else we asked for. We had to track down our waiter to ask for our check and then he disappeared. After waiting 15 minutes we saw the manager walking around and asked him for our check. The check came and was wrong. When they fixed their mistake (or so we thought) we immediately gave our credit card. It took another 20 minutes before they brought the receipt only the card had not been run! The next day we noticed on our receipt that the mistake they made was not that they charged for the wrong drink but that we were charged for our drinks we paid for at the bar! Because we were so ready to get out of there we didnt notice. Overall not a good experience.

Went to Nada for dinner with a large group reservation and had the side room. The service started out well but we really only had one server for 18 people which was not enough. I felt badly for our waitress. The food is expensive and average at best. The checks took FOREVER! We finally inquired and the manager came in to tell us the checks were "complicated" and our waitress had "melted down" while trying to get everything straightened out. He also informed us his wait staff had been there since 10am. 1- This is highly unprofessional of him to call out the waitress. 2- His poor staffing choices are not our problem. It was as if they had never served a large group before. We were at Nada for nearly 3 hours. There are many better choices for groups and for quality food. Not returning.
