One of my favorite restaurants in the greater Cincinnati area! the dosa is the size of a lunch tray, absolutely huge! and they are utterly delicious. My favorite is the ghee masala potato onion with Sambar and chutney. The chutneys are all freshly made, no jarred stuff here! The sambar is super spicy, but the flavor is out of this world. I like to tear off the dosa and dip in the chutney and eat the sambar like a soup. The owner is incredibly welcoming and kind, Ive gone so frequently shes even given my table samples of specialty dishes not on the menu yet. Its not the Indian food most people are used to, but dont let that stir you away! Its southern Indian, there are no curries on the menu. Its dosas all around and some pretty amazing appetizers too. The spice is higher, but also more aromatic and inviting. You will not be let down by this amazing restaurant!

My FAVORITE Indian restaurant. Being a north Indian, my idea of South Indian food was limited to Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, Medu Vada, Sambhar and coconut chutney. Ruchi Mess and its owner Jeyanthi, opened my horizon. Dunking those pillowey Idlies in fragrant chicken curry is nothing less than pure bliss. I have been there multiple times and food had never been unsatisfactory. Her daily specials are great too. Everything from Filter coffee to soft idlies to biryani and chicken curry.... everything is just perfect. When you crave for home cooked comfort food, Ruchi Mess is the place to go.

When you are craving good food and bad service this is the place to go. There is definitely a quality level that this restaurant has achieved but service is always slow or inaccurate. There is a clear difference between organizations that have experience running restaurants and these folks that seem to be testing the waters as they go

Very good south Indian Restaurant. The taste is close to typical Tamil Nadu food. Dosa you get here is the best around cincinnati area. Well maintained and hygienic. IF you are looking for an Evening Snack or a Dinner with close to authentic south Indian food. This is the best option. Vegetable Biryani here is surprisingly very good.

a real home style food, really loved the chicken curry with dosai ( truely home style with out garam masala, star anis ,food color blah blah) the omellete and filter coffee is the best,, keep it up and good luck , will be come again and again,, prices are very reasonable, attair looks great and its very clean,,

This place is more of a dosa restaurant than anything. They are always large and excellent. The chicken curry is bursting with wonderful flavors. Prices are a bit high for the serving size, otherwise I could easily give a 5 star!

Definitely worth a visit. Dont how I missed out on this place all this time. Definitely try any of their ghee dosa, you wouldnt regret. (It is made with ghee actually, so order accordingly.) Love it. See you again soon Ruchi Mess.

My first time eating here & it was FANTASTIC! I had the egg chili and onion dosa with sambar . Perfect spice level and really hit the spot. Im full but not in a food coma. The filter coffee is awesome too!

My experience here was horrible. They dont serve fresh food. Stale food. Not pleasant attitude towards the customers. The waiter African American is rude. She was unhygienic.
