Pros: The food was OK. Lively, fun ambience. Kind staff. Cons: I now have a tummy ache and feel like Im gonna throw up. Literally halfway through eating, I began to smell fecal matter, as if someone did a #2 in the bathroom and the ventilation passed the smell throughout the restaurant. My boyfriend smelled it too. It was so disgusting I lost my appetite. We paid for our food and left but I guarantee that I will not be returning. My leftovers, Im throwing away. The hibachi area is extremely loud! If youre coming for a quiet time, forget about it - you wont get it here. The food was extremely bland. We ordered the chicken and steak hibachi dinner for $20. One thing I noted was that everyhing on my plate tasted the same! If you blindfoled me, I wouldnt have been able to guess I was eating chicken or steak. Even the side of rice had the same flavor!! It was so annoying I asked for sweet and sour sauce. Instantly, upon tasting the new sauce, I recognized the flavor mimicked the cheap generic storebought sweet and sour sauce. Wouldve been better and more authentic to have it be made in-house. Even Ive done that before. I hated it. The clear soup (brothy soup with fine ground chicken) was OK. The included salad was fresh but they used WAY too much dressing - we had 1/4 cup left in our bowl after completing the salad. The bowls under our complementary chopsticks were dirty and gritty to the touch, and my clear soup bowl was visibly chipped. We received everything you could expect at a cheap asian buffet at fine dining prices. It was horrible! The decor even looked cheap. Thank goodness for the dim lighting or we wouldve seen how bad the place really looked. Wont be returning.

Growing up my family would always visit Benihana. I visited Kabuto last night (02/18/2017) to try something new and to see if their ratings did match up to their food--which is usually what I rate the restaurant on the most. Their food is not even close to the quality and flavor of Benihanas food. Benihana has been my favorite restaurant since I was a child. And it continues to be my favorite restaurant as far as the quality of the food. Kabutos food is bland. And they give you entirely too many onions and not enough variety of the other vegetables with their hibachi entrees. Their ginger dressing for their salad is too sweet. The lobster and shrimp entree is what I ordered. The lobster was cooked well, but there wasnt enough of the shrimp for the price I paid. Their fried rice was bland, and I literally poured my entire thing of ginger sauce to add more flavor; the ginger sauce was very similar to Benihanas. I just wish the ginger dressing was as well. And their clear soup was gross; there is chopped chicken that sinks to the bottom of the bowl, which gives the soup a gross texture. All in all I wasnt happy with my visit, and the fact that my bill was $78. Thats a lot of money spend on a meal that wasnt appetizing. I wont go back.

I love this place but today there deserved a 1 star after getting a seat the salad dressings were wrong and were NEVER got our soups literally ever then the cook didnt cook the mushrooms they were on the cart I watched them and mentioned them they never were cooked. Our waitress never returned to our table, I had to ask a random waitress for a refill. Finally we were finished eating I had to get up and grab togo boxes because yet again our waitress was at another table across the restaurant apparently they were more important. I finally went to the desk to ask for our check. We probably couldve walked out and no one wouldve known. We were the forgotten table, we got nothing and it was annoying because Ive been here before and they have been amazing today they sucked. I brought someone new to this restaurant and she is probably never going back because of how we were treated. I talked to the people at the desk the said sorry and still charged me full price for a terrible experience. This place is usually amazing today they deserve a 1 star if that they were TERRIBLE. Beware of you experience because if its bad you still have to pay for a 4 star experience they obviously dont care and I told them I was going to post this.

It was our friends birthday party and we had a rather large group, so we called the day before and made our reservation for 20 at 7pm. A few of our party arrived at 6:30pm, alerted the staff we were all starting to arrive and we would be at the bar. At 7pm 16/20 people were there, we asked to be seated and were told no, that we had to wait for everyone to arrive. At 7:15pm our last few arrived so we went again up to the counter and asked to be seated again. At this point we learned they had given our tables away (even though 6 of us had been there since 6:30pm) so we had to wait an extra half an hour for tables to clear up for us to be seated. We did not even get seated until 8pm with reservations. They charged our friend whose birthday it was for the birthday cake/song, which apparently was $2. The sushi tasted like it was made that morning, very chewy. Unfortunately two of our party members who had the sushi were ill with food poisoning within 3 hours. I had been there before and had ok service, but then again that was a few years ago. I am not sure if management has changed, or what has happened. All I know is they lost 20+ customers last night.

We had a Friday reservation at 440( the time they open) the lobby is packed with people, nothing is ready to go, chefs are walking through the door as we wait and the front desk receptionist is not good at her job. She was not welcoming did not smile and had no customer service abilities. One family walked in and looked around at all the people and said " oh we dont have time for this" and proceeded to walk out until another guest who was waiting said " oh they just opened so theyre just setting things up" so they decided to stay and the receptionist decided to speak up ; why did another guest have to entice people to stay!? That is the "receptionist job" she finally looked up and asked how many were in the party and asked if they wanted hibachi or general seating to which the guest said oh we have never been here and hesitated to answer. Instead of explaining what hibachi was the front desk person just looked at then and waited for them to respond! Like get your life together she made the beginning of my experiencing irritating watching her NOT do her job!! I almost left smh

we had reservations at 8;30 arrive on time and was told that the wait will be maybe an hour we left and came back and the lobby was full of people that was complaining. The host and hostess were very unorganized we would of left but the party insisted on staying. Didnt get seated until 10:00 YES 10:00. Another party had been there for a while and they kept telling tables were being cleaned after waiting for hours a party at the bar ran to the table that was cleaned for another party and the managers looked as if they were scared to say anything ( they were drunk causcaisions) their party was rude running around spraying stringers everywhere in people food. One even stood up and unzipped his pants and put his thumb through his pants has if it was a penis. It was families in the hibachi area with kids I think they should had been escorted out. I usually enjoy my dinners there but NOT THIS TIME IT WAS A WASTE dont thinkl I will visiting there for a awhile You may had lost a lot of good customers Too bad Too sad
