Food- If you are fine with two table spoon worth of sugar in the entrée, this place is not too bad. "Hunan", however, is clearly a misnomer. All the ingredients are coated in this excessively sweet sauce that make you ponder whether to eat this will cut back 1 week worth of life expectancy, for the sugar load. And this is on the spicy dish. The positive is that, food like this could be ready for us fairly quickly. Service- nice, attentive. Decor - OK if you like a Warhol-ish prints on the wall. The space left between adjacent tables could be as narrow as one feet. Finding your way out is a sudoku. Locate the exit, you might want to be closer to it.

12-19-15 with a 6 p.m. reservation for 5 I hope the owner reads this. 3 stars because of the service. Waitress was questioning WHY I wanted hot oil sauce? She said my food already had sauce on it. We felt, all 5 of us she was rushing us to get finished. We wanted desert she discouraged ALL of us from ordering it. I like to support local. I will go back if I see her again will most likely not return. The food is good but not worth ruining our lovely evening with all the other places to choose from in Chagrin. We headed down to Jenis Ice Cream in town where the 5 of us enjoyed dessert to end the evening.

Upon moving to the Cleveland area after 25 years just outside NYC, we searched hard for a good Chinese restaurant. Hunan by the Falls is BY FAR the best choice we have found in Cleveland for authentic, diverse Chinese food. Their dishes are carefully prepared, with perfectly done meats, crisply flash fried vegetables and well-sauced without the heavy, gluey sauces that most places around here deliver. You can do better in New York, but if you are in Cleveland, highly recommend!

I love this place. My gf loves the spinach pot stickers app. Ive never had bad food, so for Chinese food go adventurous. Highly recommend for first dates. Checkout the town afterwards. Get some hot tea, its good and compliments the flavours of the food. Honestly, this will always be a staple restaurant in my life, the owners recognize me and make a point to say hello. They just got new chairs last week, which I love.

I absolutely agree with the 4th review! How does this place stay in business? Do people in Ohio not know what good chinese food is supposed to taste like? This is flavorless stuff on a plate that is actually hard to digest. The only good thing about this place is that one elderly server who is a pleasure to be around with but I guess that alone does not make us come back.......

General tsos chicken ordered medium was not at all spicy. Breading was not crispy. Mostly soggy breading. The chicken meat was either fatty or tough. Egg roll was not very good either. It was at least crispy. Be aware the egg roll includes shrimp.

I order take out from here more than i should probably admit and its always delicious and fast. The mu shoo pork is pretty darn good! The owners are very nice and always there, its a family run business and a staple in Chagrin!

We had carry out on Sunday and it was the worst Chinese food ever. I was so embrassed as it was my brother-in-laws Birthday and it was everyones favorite but we will never have food from there again

How does this place stay in business? The food sucks. Ordered shrimp fried rice and it was plain white rice with some shrimp in it..no flavor...not even any bean sprouts.. avoid this place!

Meh. The pad Thai seemed to be made with vermicelli and was rather bland. Ok if you really want Chinese in the CF area, but I wouldnt go out of my way for it, thats for sure.
