Fate led us to Burrata and happy we are that she did! A friend and I were on the way home to Connecticut from competing at the Westminster dog show in NYC. Neither of us had taken the Hutch out of the city before so we decided to try it. Dont know what it was but it became a parking lot at one point. We decided to get off at the New Rochelle exit and look for a place to get a bite to eat and let the traffic ease up. (Must have been a major traffic event - lighted police cars blocking several access roads in town). We were tired, the weather had been miserable in the city, we should have been home in time to watch friends in the Group competition on TV and it had already started. Siri suggested an assortment of restaurants, we chose Burrata because it was the closest. What a find! We parked in a lot around the corner and went in. The inside was small and pleasant enough, we got a table near the window. A mix of adult-only and family parties. We looked at the menu and were blown away. Clearly it was going to take a while to choose - everything looked delicious - so we ordered a glass of wine! The pinot noir was perfect for my tastes and my friend loved her pinot grigio. We decided on two appetizers - the burrata for her, and the roasted carrots on whipped ricotta for me. After the first bites, the misery of the trip faded away. The toasted bread for the burrata was fragrant with a hint of rubbed garlic and a very delicious olive oil. I could have eaten the carrots as a larger dinner entree, and it was so good I sacrificed a small amount to take home for the DH to try. For dinner we had the gnocchetti with lamb bolognese and the prosciutto pizza with smoked mozzarella, balsamic red onions, arugula, and pecorino. We kept laughing with delight that we had found such a wonderful meal at such a random, unplanned stop. After saving a small taste of my gnocchetti for the DH, we ordered the Zeppole for dessert. Sorry honey, nothing left of that! Our waiter was charming and informative and the food arrived in good time. Our only regret is that we dont live closer! If I were being picky, I would ding a quarter of a star for the following: (1) Would have liked the centers of the pizza crust a tad crisper. It didnt keep us from eating every bite though. (2) We asked to have separate checks but were told they couldnt do it. Please dont ask two women traveling together to whip out our phones to divide the bill. Its not pretty. Plus, I tend to tip higher if a restaurant will provide that courtesy. Luckily it was about an even split and were good friends. (3) No American coffee service. Okay, we lived through it and had expresso. Such minor things, didnt affect the enjoyment of the meal at all. Happy and rested, we headed to our car parked in the lot just around the corner, Buzzkill! A $25 parking ticket. Yes, there were meters, but it was dark and no visible instructions about them (looked like someone had hammered stuff off of them), and we made the mistake of thinking that, as in our neck of the woods (Hartford area), nights and weekends were free. Lesson learned! Feed the meter, then feed yourselves at Burrata. Cheers!

Nice warm welcoming entrance from the door to the table, good environment, may be warmer near the oven, comfortable spacing between other people, bar and bathroom looks and sounds quaint and experienced, food superb; I had shared a variety of dishes with my family: never once displeased or put off with anything between lighting(young eyes), selection(menu easy to read and well spread) , temperature(always a burning plate; I love that), amount(very proportionate and appropriate to taste), taste(Im not a soup person but omg I couldnt get enough, also my hair and pasta dish was very good) , or speed of delivery(but I dont really care because it takes time to make a real good quality dish), noise is to a enjoyable minimum with the walls and ceilings covered, but not distracting, with sound buffers; good for business meetings, Italy inspired food is one of my favorites along with spicy food and Chinese, this restaurant is one of my new favorites, and I would recommend it for lunch, linner, or dinner with family, date, outing, friends, business, or celebration. Now dessert, complementing the dinner I had, it was very rich(I like that) though the menu included other lighter treats(if your into that type of thing), coffee was Illy and I enjoyed it, I tasted a latte and like it too(better black or with one sugar but dont spoil it with splenda), between four people the bill came to under $120 but well worth it, drop off before parking recommended as parking is a bit sparse and not part of the restaurant but not an issue for the mildly athletic. Rating given by a diverse/prevalent restaurant visitor.

This review is not about the kitchen or the food. Both of those receive 5 or 6 stars. Both pizzas we had were incredible and the Brussels sprouts were flavorful. Instead this is a message to the management regarding the waitstaff: There have been few times when dining out where I have felt like an inconvenience. Count this as my first time. There were many failures that, while they point to a lack of hospitality training, make customers feel thoroughly unwelcome. 1) No one greeting you at the door. Stood there for some time and literally had to ask the hostess/server if we could put our names in. 2) Had to ask for clean plates to eat our food on and bread (despite it being brought to many other tables). 3) Bread plate haphazardly jammed amongst all the mess on the table after food arrived. 4) No check-in at anytime during the meal until the check had to be requested. 5) Busser asked my wife if she wanted more wine, she stated she did not, left the empty glass on the edge of the table for the entire meal. 6) Left dirty appetizer plates on the table until end of meal. Table is overflowing at this point. 7) No one greeting you/thanking you on your way out. While these may seem like minor complaints, the above compounded into a feeling of complete unwelcome. With other choices for wood-fired pizza, like Fortina in Armonk (nail the food and service) I may only go here for takeout in the future and would never consider bringing guests here to dine in.

I came to Burrata with a group of friends on a Thursday evening with a 25 minute wait for a table. Time seemed to fly by after having the most delicious Sangria at the bar (really, probably the best Ive ever had). The meal shared among 4 people: + Crema de Burrata: so fresh and delicious with the crispiest and flavorful tostini + Margherita Pizza: on the soft side, but packed with flavor + Papardelle Pasta: delicious mushrooms and parmesan-- a taste of heaven. So good we had to have another order of this. + Dessert- Molten Lava Cake w/ice cream: Im not a huge chocolate fan so cant rate this fairly, but was delicious enough. The portions arent massive so you dont feel like a blob leaving. While maybe on the pricier side, the food and experience are completely worth it. Cant wait to come back and try more options..... or stick to what I already now love :)
