Tlaquepaque was a frustrating restaurant to rate as the highs were really high and the lows were really low. So lets start out with the good. First off their chimichanga was amazing and Ive got to say it was probably the best chimichanga that Ive ever eaten. I loved the richness given to it by the fresh guacamole. Also, the wait staff was excellent as well as the general atmosphere of the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and was just a fun place to enjoy a meal. On the other hand, they served some over cooked and stale tasting tortilla chips and the salsa was so so at best. I really believe to be a great Mexican restaurant youve got to serve outstanding chips and salsa and Tlaquepaque hasnt mastered that art. A tortilla chip should be light and crispy not heavy and burnt tasting. Also, I love the Mexican restaurants who serve their tortilla chips warm which attests to their freshness. Bottom line, Tlaquepaque is a solid Mexican restaurant. Note: my wife gave me a taste of her chili rellennos and it wasnt very good. The pepper was only stuffed with pepper jack cheese and was an extremely unbalanced bite. The richness of the cheese took over everything. They were heavy handed with the pepper jack and should have stuffed the pepper with other items to balance out the richness of the cheese. The over abundance of cheese made it inedible.

C. Thanks.
Not bad. Tried to charge extra for hot salsa. My husband and I have been to several mexican restaurants including all of them in mexican town Detroit. Also all of them by where ever weve lived.. and We have both been to Mexico on vacations. Never been charged fot hot salasa. No one said it was extra either, it just came on the bill, so they took it off. If that happens to you, just speak up. The margaritas were good and half price on the Friday we dined there. Mango was a little sweet for me but my husband loves his. The over 9$ burritos I had had more veggies in them then shredded beef, but it pretty good. I have had better. The white sause that was over it was very good. So not too bad of burritos, but the beans is where Im taking mote points off because I usually adore all refried beans everywhere we get them.. here.. ahh.. it was more of bean soup. Maybe they were 8times refried? The color was off and you could taste the water in them.. definitely watered down and just mush, not good at all..... service was good though.. but id rather have good food with bad service, if the food is worth it. Not bad for drinks though. If we ever back, no food, just 2.50 margaritas in Fridays.

The service was good but food was mediocre at best. The staff were all friendly and helpful. However, the food was bland and unimpressive. Having recently moved here from Texas, I can tell you that you can do better. After seeing the ratings on here, I was definitely expecting a lot more. The refried beans were completely bland, enchiladas were soggy with no flavor, and the salsa left a lot to be desired. If they could bring a little more flavor to the party, Id probably be willing to give them another chance. As it is now, its worth the drive to Akron or Wadsworth for something better.

Not impressed. Read the ratings and wanted to have some good mexican food. Ordered the seafood tacos and a tamales. The seafood taco was supossed to be a taco stuffed with shrimp and crab. It ended up being a creamy mixture that was mushy with pieces of shrip shell in it. The tamales were cold like they took a tamales and threw it in the microwave for 60 seconds, the cheese wasnt`t melted on the tamales or the tacos. The staff sat at the barthe entire time i was there. Another waiter had to get my waitress to take my order and payment. Disapointing.

Horrible experience. Waited about 5 min for straws. When food finally came out my tacos were on corn tortillas and I asked for flour. Took the waitress 10 min to ask if everything was ok and I could finally send my tacos back. My family was finished eating before I even got my new tacos. The floor by our table was filled with food and the hostess said someone would be over to sweep it up. No kne ever came. Had bad service last time I came here and will not recommend or be back again. Worst Mexican restaurant Ive been too.

The most authentic and freshest Mexican food I have ever tasted!! This is a "must have every time we visit home" place!! They will modify the dishes to your taste. The shrimp salad is my favorite! My husband get the diablo shrimp and the sauce is scrumptious! The right amount of heat and flavor! Save room for dessert because their flan is luscious! It is sooo creamy and smooth! Awesome way to end a absolute delicious meal!! We have gone a number of times and we are never disappointed!!

Tiaquepaque has a great menu with reasonable pricing. I often order one of their appetizers as my meal. It is a shrimp quesadilla. Not spicy, with grilled shrimp, and a great flavor! Served with sour cream and guacamole on top of a bed of lettuce and tomato, I recommend to everyone. I also have ordered and enjoyed their fajitas. Another excellent selection, with plenty of chicken, steak, and shrimp. You can order one type of meat or all, whatever pleases your taste buds.

Very good food! I used to not like the place but now its very good! The fresh guacamole its excellent just make sure to let them know how spicy you want it, I personally like it spicy but it was too much for my wife another delicious thing is the molcajete for 2 its a lot of food for 2 people and its very very good and finally if you like sweets the super delicious oreo churros are to die for!

The food wasnt that good. The salsa tastes old, and the chicken was very dy made my mouth dry. Taco salad wasnt good at all. The steak tasted like it was frozen. The best part was the cheese dip. I dont recommend this place. This is the first and the last time I will ever be coming here.

One of the better Mexican restaurants in Canton. Reasonably priced. I love the Patron Margaritas here, they are a Must Try. Carne asada is pretty tasty. You get free chips and salsa with your visit, which is always a nice touch. I may become a regular here.
