My family has been coming for years all around the Dayton area, we have always had great service here at the Beavercreek location...celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, promotions or just for a family night out dinner...However last night was my youngest daughters birthday and her father & grandfather both were out of town, so we decided just do girls night birthday dinner...grandma, sister, myself & birthday girl....However this was the worse...I mean WORSE experience I EVER have had....VERY DISAPPOINTED....our chef did absolutely NO tricks what so ever...I mean nothing...not even the simple onion volcano...BORING...our food was very cold like the stove wasnt even keeping it warm as it sat there...had to sit with our jackets on...the eggs in the fried rice...well lets just say there was no yellow tint...but forsure charcoal...come to the end of the night...I had to remind them about my daughters birthday..she got the fried ice cream... one & I mean one person came out of the entire staff to sing " Happy Birthday" to her and took her picture ( didnt even supply the birthday hat) and to top it off the printer to the picture is broke...it was very disappointing for alittle girl that looks forward well picked where she wanted to go...cause she loves the food, and the atmosphere & tricks...but not last night...I can understand if they were busy...but it was dead...heck we only had 6 people at our table and the tables around us was open...I think it will be awhile til we go back if we go!!!!

Osaka is a rare gem - not only is the food outstanding, but the service is absolutely incredible. A few days ago, my family and I visited Osaka for dinner. Being gluten intolerant, I first asked the waitress if they had any gluten free soy sauce that I could use. The waitress was not sure and went to ask the manager. Within a few minutes, the manager came to our table and informed me that they were out of gluten free soy sauce. I would have been disappointed, but to my delight, he then offered to run to the market to get some gluten free soy sauce for my meal! Let me tell you, I have been told countless times by various restaurants that they do not have gluten free soy sauce, and this is the first time that a restaurant cared enough to make a trip to the market to meet my needs. I couldnt have been more impressed. Thank you, Osaka!

I cant say enough about our experience here last night. Ive been to many hibachi grills and I realize a large part of your experience will be based on your chef and boy did we have a good one! Even the hosts were really friendly and stayed at our table to chat while we waited for the last of our party to arrive. Once they did our chef came out and the party started. They all have the same tricks for the most part but our chef had the greatest sense of humor and was really great with the kids. By the time we were done our chef was taking selfies with our phones with us in the background and my brother was cooking on the grill. It was absolutely hilarious and we loved it! Thanks for the great evening.

The food was simply .. wow so terrible for me actually so terrible that it almost knocked out Japanese food out of my favorite list .. I dont want to do this place unjust maybe they were having a really bad week (because the food for sure didnt taste like it came from daily fresh ingredients) I was so surprise how bad was it .. if you want to go I advice you to stay away from chefs rolls and never take any recommendations as I did so just stick to what you know you like and maybe just maybe you will have a different experience than mine. two stars for two reasons the restaurant have a nice staff and surprisingly, I have seen worse.

I agree with duchess0782 this restaurant is amazing. Me and a friend went this week and got there right as they opened for dinner. We were only ones in restaurant so I cant rate service except for the friendliness of the staff which was excellent. The hibachi chef was very entertaining. The best part is the food. I have had sushi at a lot of different places including fresh California seafood as well as in the Bahamas and this definitely competes especially for a basically landlocked state. It is hard to find a good seafood/steak restaurant and they pull it off really well. I would highly encourage all to eat there.

It was absolutely horrible, we have been going there for years and it was always great, tonight the chef did no tricks, I mean nothing and they are supposed to be entertaining chefs, but before that when they brought out the sushi they had the totally wrong stuff so I asked them politely for the right sushi and they started arguing with me about it, and then after that was over the chef of course did no tricks and made our food absolutely horrible and everything just tasted like salt, overall most horrible experience at a restaurant and never coming back again

I had the pleasure of dining here only weeks after it opened...It was nothing less than phenomenal... While we were there on a weekend during prime hours, we only waited 10 minutes for a private dining table. The atmosphere is clean, open and inviting. The service was AWESOME--friendly, not overwheming, courteous. THe best part had to be the food. By far this is the best sushi ive had in Dayton, it is fresh and very reasonably priced. Go here as opposed to the bigger name Japanese steakhouses in Dayton, you will not be disappointed.

The hibachi grill fare was fabulous and the theatrics were fun. The restaurant was clean and decor current. I had a white wine sangria while we waited to be seated that was delicious. We shared an appetizer of Bang Bang shrimp that was wonderful! My filet and lobster was grilled perfectly as was my husbands shrimp. We had a great time and enjoyed our meal tremendously! We will be back!

The sushi is always amazing, but I went in on my lunch break and waited about 15 extra minutes after my sushi was ready and sitting up at the bar so that the waiter could charm the groups sitting nearby that came in after I did.. he made sure to check for their orders and leave mine sitting. I guess dont stop in during lunch unless youre in a group or have a bunch of time to waste.

Surprisingly fine interior for a strip mall place. Also surprisingly not busy during weekday lunch given the high quality & low prices. Good place for a office lunch -bring a dozen folks. Hibachi acts were entertaining - adults and kids would love em. I hope they stick around but its perhaps too up-scale for Beavercreek... so take advantage of it while it lasts.

We ate here shortly after it opened and had a great experience. Our most recent experience was underwhelming, though. They seemed understaffed (it took nearly an hour before a chef was at our table), and the restaurant felt dirty. The carpet was very sticky and a can of cleaner was sitting out in the restroom. Overall, though, the service and food were good.

Osaka has gluten free options and a good knowledge of dietary restrictions. Their steak is done exceptionally well and the show the cooks put on at your grill/table is pretty good. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly too. I definitely recommend it as one of the best, if not the best, steakhouse in the area.
