My wife and I visited Moxie for our anniversary. We had reservations at 6:45 on a Friday night. When we came in, two hostesses ignored us until a 3rd hostess returned from seating another group and welcomed us. When we sat, our waitress also ignored or avoided us. Shed mention, "Ill be right back!" in passing, but never actually stopped to take an order. She came by and got my drink order, and my wife asked for a cocktail menu. The menu came promptly, but she didnt return to take the drink order for (literally) 15 minutes. By that time, the waitress had lost out on an appetizer and drink order because we just wanted to order our entrees. We didnt place our order until 7:10 (25 minutes after we were seated). Thankfully - the food was very good. Caesar salad was a little fishy, but maybe Im not used to eating "the real thing". Wife had the apple and bacon salad and LOVED it. I also enjoyed the filet (with cheesy / onion grits and dates). My wife had the scallops and was very pleased. Our waitress did earn some bonus points though by comping us on an anniversary dessert (hot cocoa cake). Dessert was excellent. We both walked away happily full and overall satisfied with the dinner. The waitress was very polite and knowledgeable, but entirely too slow. We witnessed another table get up and leave after waiting several minutes. Maybe Moxie was just short staffed on this particular night (it certainly looked like there were plenty of people working). Id recommend it and would go back again in hopes of getting better service.

How could I not rate this 4 1/2 ☆ restaurant? I visited here on a Friday night in good company and my impression of Moxie far exceeded my expectations. My date and I enjoyed a lavish four course meal including a gourmet cheese plate made with cow, goat and sheep milk - just fabulous! One of the specials was a delectable, sautéed grouper with mixed vegetables and chutney/vinaigrette dressing, with a texture so fine that it nearly melted in my mouth. I really felt like the extra time that we waited was well worth it, as we experienced nothing short of an A+ experience. Our food was excellent, seconding service and atmosphere. The establishment breams with culture and class, and the food lives up to that expectation as well. This restaurant is expensive, but worth the money.

We went there tonight and really enjoyed it. I would like to give it 4 and a half stars because the wait for food once ordered was a little long, but the quality of the food was fabulous! We started with the cheese sampler, which was fun and delicious. My husband and I split the duck confit and it was so good. I didnt think I liked duck before tonight. The service was great (aside from the food taking a long time to arrive). Our waitress offered meal suggestions that were spot-on and was great about refilling our water and giving us updates. It honestly felt like all the people working there were really interested in making our visit pleasant. The menu options were unexpected and we cant wait for our next culinary adventure!

We won a contest at work got lunch (carry out) at any restaurant we wanted. After considerable research we selected Moxie. What a mistake! I ordered fish tacos & got 2 of the smallest tacos you have ever seen. The fish was greasy, the edges of the lime had turned brown and dried up, it was supposed to come with French fries but they werent put in the bags. So all I got was 2 mini tacos for $13.75! My coworkers got cobb salads and I was told the iceberg lettuce was brown. Im shocked that a restaurant of this caliber would use iceberg lettuce. I can do better than that at home. We would have gotten better food and certainly better prices at the local Mexican restaurant.

My son took me there for my birthday Wednesday , they were so slow the manager apologized to us . When I saw the food I got excited took a bite of my steak it was raw in the middle! They took my steak off the bill it was so disappointing . They did not offer a gift card to make it up to me . The waiter was fantastic the place looked really neat ! It wouldve been better if they knew how to cook a steak that was ordered medium !

This place is relatively expensive (Lebron James used to come here when he was still in Cleveland) but the food is amazing. Try any of their steaks and they are not only made to your desire but leave your mouth watering. Also it is a bit more upscale and they have valet parking, so if youre taking a date and want to get lucky you may have a good chance after taking her here.

I have been to Moxie one time I had the hot crab dip for any app and norwegian salmon for my meal. I am all for paying a high price for food as long as the food quality matches or exceeds my bill. Moxies food was very average for an above average price. I do not plan on going back there again.

I called to talk to a manager and he was beyond rude on the phone to me. Tried to belittle me which was the worst thing to do...Being a restaurant that prides on service.. They get a 2 from me. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

The calmari and tuna tartare appetizers are delicious. I got the duck with Korean Kimchi rice, the duck was cooked perfectly but the Kimchi rice didnt taste quite right to me. The service is excellent.

Had dinner there on Saturday Night, was not disappointed one bit. Food was off the charts good, our server Alex was brilliant. Couldnt have asked for a better dinner.

Salmon nugget with small salad for $50. 6 tiny scallops for $32. What a rip off. Scallops were not cooked evenly, salmon was 2 oz max. Terrible. Dont go.

Fantastic. The Cleveland area has some excellent food but this one stood out for top-notch cuisine, a pleasant atmosphere, and friendly, excellent service.
