Pura Vida is a hidden gem in downtown Cleveland. Brandt Evans = brilliant. My husband and I make it a point to go here every couple of months to try their new seasonal menus. The menu provides a great variety - you can get anything from a burger & fries (rosemary fries, YUM) to vegan/gluten free options. My favorite item is the African Peanut stew - its a must try as an appetizer. We love this restaurant so much that we recently had our rehearsal dinner here and our guests are still raving about the food, experience and staff. Joann did an amazing job organizing the event and was fantastic to work with. Honestly, if you are looking for a great meal and experience in downtown Cleveland, or are looking to hold a special event, you have to check out Pura Vida.

The restaurant was nicely decorated and the atmosphere was definitely modern and set a great bar - unfortunately, I didnt feel like the food matched that bar. I had the Pura Vida Burger and my fiance had the Macaroni and Cheese. I felt the burger had minimal flavor and wasnt anything to write home about. But at least I didnt get the Macaroni and Cheese. This dish was stupid cheesy and had diced chicken that looked like it came from a can. Overall, we felt that the food was overpriced for what we got, the curtains in the ceiling are incredibly dusty and the color changing does get a little weird after being in the restaurant. Overall, just not the impressed.

We had a group with 10 adults and all agreed the food was good and the location was great, right across from public square; however, the service was terrible. Not at all what you would expect from a restaurant like this. Our server let dirty dishes pile up on our table, seldom checked on us and was completely annoyed if we simply wanted to order another drink. They were not busy either making his bad service tougher to accept.

I organized a dinner for 22 executives and couldnt have been more pleased with the food & service at Pura Vida. I worked with the private events manager who was very helpful. We used the semi-private dining space. The food was fresh, innovative without being too crazy and reasonably priced. Drinks were well made & reasonable too. I booked this sight unseen and everything turned out as promised. Highly recommend.

The food here is great, but the best part is how much they will tend to your special diets. Vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, gluten free, allergies... these guys will make you smile. And the vegetarian options are more than your usual pasta and vegetables that most offer. Top notch combination of flavor and service in a modern environment.

Very impressed by this restaurant. We ate here before our Musical at the Playhouse as it was right down the road. This restaurant has great ambience and is right across from Public Square. The food here is equally amazing. Try the Shrimp corn chowder and the Cornbread Crab cakes!

This was my first time at Pura Vida. We had a 5 course tasting with wine selections for each course. The food was fantastic, the wine selections were perfect, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was just right! We will definitely be returning.

$5 for bread and butter....granted the butter was a fancy shaved incredibly salty ...so much salt ! Couldnt eat it....had skirt steak...meat was very good ...dont expect extras....thought it was high priced for what you receive...wouldnt return

Now THIS is the way Mediterranean food is supposed to be !! The taki is good, I also tried the triple chocolate dessert and they warmed it up prior to serving it to make it even better. Coming back here very often !!

Service is quick and friendly! I ordered the crabcakes here & they were delicious. However, the cabbage slaw and tomato relish sodes tasted weird to me. I would consider asking for different sides with this dish.

Went to a Tri-C event--cooking demonstration with dinner. Every course was perfectly cooked, lovely presentation. Going to be so awesome when Public Square is done, because the view from windows also a plus.
