We were in the city for some shopping and Xmas light admiring and ended up at the MUSE for an impromptu dinner. The decor of the restaurant was pretty boring , menu was nothing out of the ordinary and service was something to be desired. My husband was looking forward to the halibut as they had featured that on their menu outside the restaurant but only to be told that halibut was not in season and was not offered . Why have it on their menu then? Although the staff was pleasant , unless you had the look on your face of "where is my waiter?" they were very slow to come around . The worst part, whether it was so sad or so funny I cant say was the fact that they had only 1 wine list in the whole restaurant!! For some reason, every time the list would be given to us, within 5 minutes someone would be by and apologetically ask if they could take it away. This happened twice . It was like a game of "pass the parcel" except a wine list instead. In all fairness, my steak which i rarely order in a restaurant was outstanding and my daughters roast chicken was decent. The sea scallops my husband ordered he said lacked flavor. All in all a disappointing experience , but fortunately didnt have high expectations because this wasnt a planned night out or a special occassion that we were specially coming to the Ritz for

My family went here for dinner this past Christmas. The service was excellent, which is par for the course at a Ritz Carlton. However, the food was terrible. On Christmas, they were offering a four course meal for $65. Lets start with the bread they brought out to start: it was hard as a rock and hurt to chew. The first course was a special Christmas salad, which was average. The second course was a Sweet Potato Ravioli, which was burnt and overcooked and also difficult to chew. The third course was an Eggplant Cannenoli and this was the worst. Another guest at the table received it as well. Not only was the dish luke warm, but the eggplant had no taste and was rubbery in texture. The pasta and veggies in the dish also had no taste and could have been microwaved. The dessert they had was the best that they had to offer that evening - and it was very good. Ultimately, the Muse at the Ritz left a lot to be desired.

I made reservations for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration at The Ritz Cleveland in 3/09, confirmed them 5/09 and the day before we were to arrive. Reservations were also made for tea, massage, and Sunday brunch. I phoned the morning we were to arrive to see if we would be able to check in early and was told the hotel was overbooked, there was nothing they could do for us, and they were moving us over to the Marriott. Needless to say, I was very upset and totally surprised that an establishment like the Ritz would do this on such a special occasion for my family.

very disappointing quite a step down from the old riverfront room and with none of the flair of its precursor century. service was only adequate, the decor was bland and the food hit or miss. great desserts, good scallops, and a set of salads that should have come in a paper bag with golden arches on the side. all and all not a bad restaurant, but this is supposed to be the ritz, and certainly charges like it. stay in and order pizza.

We thought the ambiance at LAlbatross was just ok: Hard, plastic chairs, minimalist decor, VERY cramped and close to other diners, but everything else was quite good to exceptional--esp the service. My homemade fettuccine was a bit too al dente, but the broth was exquisite and the dish was fresh and hot--veggies wonderfully prepared. The mixed green salad was pretty

“Fabulous food!” My husband surprised me for my birthday. Drove all the way from Pittsburgh to Cleveland just to go to this restaurant...and it was worth it. The service is impeccable and the food amazing. We were told their menu changes regularly to try and make use of fresh local and in-season ingredients. When we were there they were serving potato leek...

We met some friends here and it was a good choice for having a long time for conversation without being rushed. That said, if you are not interested in spending 3 hours on drinks and dinner I am not sure you would be happy here. I ordered the pasta du jour and it was delicious, and everyone else at the

That is right, I love the Trailer Park Taco (fried chicken strips) trashed (with Cheese). This place is busy, because it is good. Once you have been here, you will come back too. Also try the Queso and chips, a little on the hot side. Yum...

Hands down my favorite downtown restaurant. Small intimate venue, great staff, and phenomenal food. Highly recommended. I come here as often as I can.
