Food was good service was good but they have lots of Flys but the reason I am rating a 1 is because of the things the owner and management are doing this isnt the first time I hear they have fired a hard working employee for no reason specialy one that was working her ass off doing doubles for you all the time, I have managed and ran a restaurant in Watford city for 4 years that is not how you do business. And to use and treat your employees like that is very disrespectful you should be ashamed, you gave no reason just hung up and wouldnt even discuss the situation or tell why you just fire people and hang up. You could of atleast said sorry for this or something.

There was a long wait, but available seating outside. We decided to take the seats outside, then it started to rain. The manager found us a table in the back which was even better than the previous setup. We were there for a work meeting and the restruant noise level fit our needs perfectly. There also wasnt anything besides staffers that were close, which is another added bonus! Star was taken off because I wasnt a huge fan of the brisket and because there were no armless outside chairs which made a group member uncomfortable while outside. Overall, give this place a try. :)

Was there for lunch today April 25, 2014. I had the Lunch 6 oz sirloin and my wife had the quarter chicken BBQd over a wood fire. She said it was the best and freshest chicken she had since leaving North Carolina. My sirloin was really tender, and say that because at my age my teeth arent very strong anymore. We also had the Chicken Tortilla soup which was just spicy enough for us. Our waitress Kerry was very attentive and was worth the 25% tip. We will definitely be back to the Spitfire even though we live 70 miles away.

I am a huge fan of anything barbecued. That being said Spitfire Bar and Grill is the best in town. It is also my go to for fancy date nights, or bringing family when they visit. The atmosphere is dark but gives a private feel. You have enough light to eat but not enough to creep on people down the aisle. Seeing the chickens roasting over the open flame is nice. The smell when you walk into the building will make your mouth water! This is my first recommendation to anyone looking for a sit down restaurant.

Waited an hour to be seated, they told us 30 we had looked at the menu while waiting. We ordered right way. 40 minutes go by we start watching people who got here after us get their food. 5tables got their food before us an hour goes bystill, no food. Our waitress avoided us. We even complained to a manager and my other half even left upset without food. My pulled pork had obviously sat there. The bun was soggy, and the top as stale. The walleye had scales and bones and no seasoning. Ridiculous.

Usually a great place to eat but was very disappointed with this visit. Our food was brought out more than 5 minutes after our friends and everything was dry from sitting under the warmer for so long. I had to send my meal back. The manager I spoke with was polite and apologetic but only offered a free dessert as a way of making everything right. I wont let one not so great experience deter me from a restaurant that is usually great, but it will be awhile before I go back.

Party of 10 Food showed up over a period of an hour. Apps and salad showed with first 3 dinners. Saw waitress 4 times after we all ordered. 3 times filled water glasses never refilled other drinks (no adult drink or soft drinks or tea).after 45 minutes she asked me what i ordered. After stove bricking a Rib eye (14 oz) to something that looked more like a pancake said they throw the ticket out before it was finished sorry for the wait on the last 3 dinners.

Service was slow, had to ask for bread, steak overcooked and to top it off, found a hair (looked lovely) in my potatoes. The server asked the manager its it was okay to remove the meal from our bill (manager didnt even come out), subsequently forgot to remove the meal and had to be asked again. This is the second time in a row that the service and food had been sub par for a $15-30 meal. It used to be so good, unfortunately I will be be going back again.

We had dinner here after a day of shopping. Very busy place. Family style restaurant for BBQ. Very tasty. We had brisket, chicken, pickeral and ribs. They were all very good and generous portions. Thw sides were as tasty as our entrees. The staff was friendly. Our food came late because it was a full dining room. Kid friendly. Lots of parking. Spacious patio. They had their BBQ trophies were on display and they were will earned.

2nd time here. 1st time everything was great. 2nd time not so much. Waitress wasnt very attentive, not sure if she was just busy or what. I got the bbq platter & nothing was really very good. Nothing was smokey flavored, only real flavor was the bbq sauce. The onion rings crisps were stale & the pulled pork was REALLY dry. Not even the bbq sauce helped. So I dont really know what to think of this place since Im 50/50.

Horrible service, took 40 minutes to get lunch after we ordered, chicken and ribs were flavorless and walleye was 90% breading. Server only was attentive when it was time to get paid. Never going back. Also seen 4 tables next to us, that came in 5-15 minutes after us, get their food before us. We were close to walking out. No refills, no "how is your food" we felt like a nuisance.

Want to eat like a local? Go here and indulge on the full menu cooked over a wood fire grill. Aside from eating Buffalo wings in Buffalo these are the absolute best wings I have ever tasted. The steak I ate was fabulous and the service was top notch. Cant believe there is actually a national steakhouse chain down the street. I am assuming they catch the overflow from this place.

I really like going to the Spitfire especially around lunch time. They always have great food but it gets far to busy for me in evenings (no patients to wait to be seated). I also think they have great mixed drinks! Food is super fair priced. Also, I have noticed when I have visitors from out of town come to Fargo they always want to go there. For sure will eat there again.

Food was "alright". Server seemed more interested in turning over tables than taking care of the people in front of her...We werent even half way though our main course and we got the desert pitch and the bill.... We were there for less than an hour. Id give it less than three stars, but the chicken quesadilla was awesome.

Dont trust the people writing under 4 stars they do not understand a fine restaurant. The best thing about Spitfire is all the food on the menu. I have tried way over half of the menu and there is nothing that I would say is not worth eating. Good price, great service, and good bar staff. 5 star hands down in my book.
