Service - 4/10 Sometimes, selection can be a burden. They have too many beers for the service staff to get a handle on them all and only a couple people in the restaurant can answer questions about the food and drink solidly. Too many chiefs on the bar. My liquor of choice was on the shelf but not on the system, so they magnanimously charged me $65/shot for it..about twice what the local 4-Stars charge (which they are not). Food - 3/10 I ordered two things, a BLT to-go and an order of fried cheese while I waited on friends to join me for an early happy hour. The fried cheese came out fast and fresh and was great. I had two friends meet with me at two different times and ended up staying much longer than I intended, so I ordered some fries to munch on...they never came, and I forgot about them while chatting. Unfortunately I never got to taste the BLT, as the to-go sandwich disappeared from the bar while I was away from my seat. The GM quickly offered to remake it, but he disappeared and I ended up waiting 30 minutes and had to leave empty handed. Overall - The concept is great, there is not lacking for TV viewing, the food (what little I saw of it) was great, and obviously the beer selection is albeit overwhelming...(its like having an entire wine cellar shoved in your face). I like the beer, but its simply not worth $50 a bottle to see it. I have to say, the experience was positive until I saw the pricing on the alcohol. Its horribly inconsistent. A small snifter on tap is $5, but a bottle of Narwhal is $50, Patron Silver is 9.50, and Belvanie 21 is extortion at $65 a pop (seriously...thats twice what that everyone else around sells their for!) ...I never got the BLT, still got charged for it, and this afternoon Ive discovered that I was charged again later for something after I left. Definitely never setting foot in that place again. Not interested in another $400 surprise and definitely not going somewhere that reuses patrons CC info.

Ive been here maybe ten times in 3 months. I am a lunch guy to early afternoon. I never come here after 5pm. When its quiet and you have the attention of the staff Ive always been extremely happy with the service and the experience. The food actually makes me mad because the quality of the kitchen and menu belong in a dedicated restaurant and not in a sportsbar. The food is very, very, very good. I cant say it enough how great it is. I even decided to jump around the menu, order all of the courses and still the food is amazing. I want to bring my family here but cant because it isnt very family friendly or kid friendly and normally has that one group of loud self important professional Asshats that talk too loud and laugh at their farts. Anyway the food is good. I cant tell you about the night life though as am I too old for that nonsense. If you have time after topgolf come across the street and have some food and drinks. They have tons of beer here because its a craft beer place. I dont care about the fancy beer made in someones basement in Michigan and dont know why craft beers are a thing. I found the closest to Guinness and just drink that. If you want to be a beer snob you can come here and be as fancy pinky fingered as you want over their 100+ beer selection. Come drink some good beer and have some great food. If you are here for lunch and you see a crotchety old man in the corner say hi.

I am guessing Tony showed up right after they opened and probably was a bit hammered, considering he ordered a sandwich to go, then never left. Im sure the BLT would have kept for the hours in the box anyway. I have been a few times and the service has been great. They have a ton of waitresses and they are more up to date on the menu now that it has been open for a bit. The drinks are on a rotating basis, so they may not know every beer on the menu as it changes daily based on what kegs they have. Yes they have hard liquor, but this is really a beer drinkers sports bar. No other way to describe it. If you were charged too much for a drink they did not have in the menu, dispute it, before you keep drinking and drinking and lose your cool. The place is pretty nice though, nice small outdoor patio, the waitresses are nice and friendly but not overly in your business and annoying like at breastraunts. Clean tables with a green and grey theme. Tons of TVs we joked with a manager about some spots that dont have TVs. The food is great and a bit silly with some of the names. Its bar food now, but like fancy barfood (pretzel bun on a brat for example.) Its a great little place and a wonderful addition to The Colony. I would recommend hanging out there waiting on your bay at Top Golf across the street if you can.

Last Friday was a historic day for baseball lovers, especially Chicagoans, first Cubs World Series game since WWII. Manager was nice, invited me upstairs because Cubs volume was up. But after I went up there, a girl server (I forget her name, but she is not white, and has curly hair) came right next to me to serve a couple, never made eye contact, completely ignored me. She came near again and again. So after several minutes, I spoke with manager, then she started yelling at ME, right in front of her manager! She made excuses for her lack of customer care, mentioned I was wearing earbuds. Never mind the fact I looked right at her and that I had zero drink in front of me. Then manager asked another girl to take my order, I went back upstairs, but still nobody came to me to ask if I wanted anything. I hope DD does NOT condone this uncaring behavior. Never in several visits did I have such a disappointing experience, and during a Cubs World Series game? God have mercy on white, single men. We are no longer significant in this our new, perverted society of Political Correctness. All other girls at DD have made great efforts to remain attentive to me, so nothing should detract from their credibility. This review is based solely on that one evening.

Sigh!! Not a real craft beer bar. Okay. Lets be honest. I might be a little douchy in my beer selection. Im not QUITE a beer snob. So when I was told by the owner of the first bar we had to leave that Drunken Donkey had over 200 craft beers available I was initially quite ecstatic. However, upon arrival, I was quite disappointed. The bartender didnt know what was on tap, didnt know types of beer, had to stare at the screen of my phone 30 seconds to even figure out what beer I wanted. You are a craft beer bar and your servers dont know beer?!?! Strike one. The menu misidentifies a deep ruby beer as almost transparent. Third strike is that Im paying MORE then normal. After my beer and my flight Im out and I will NEVER be returning. Once again... This is NOT a real craft beer bar.

Tons of TVs, even in the bathroom, several beers and fruit ales on tap, friendly and quick service, with some of the best food Ive ever had. This place is a no brainer if youre looking to go out, get great food, and want a lively atmosphere that isnt overwhelmingly loud. Easily the best burger Ive ever had and Mondays are all day happy hour and $5 full sized burger and fries! They have daily specials and trivia on Wednesdays too. Their menu ranges from bar food to ritzy hors doeuvre style trays. Pricing averages $10+ and some dishes are over $20 but you get incredible food in return. Beer and cocktails are about average pricing for the area. Expect to pay for every veggie, topping, and sauce if it isnt explicitly included.
