I had lunch here with a friend and enjoyed it so much I decided to host a birthday party with about 20 guests. I called a few days in advance and asked to reserve one of their party rooms (they have several separate dining rooms) and told them the number of guests. I was told they do not accept reservations. For a restaurant of this size, a full bar and separate dining rooms I found this a little hard to believe. Still the food was so good we decided to hold the event there anyway. The day of the party arrives and we show up with about twelve of the twenty guests in tow and I ask to speak to the manager about one of the party rooms which were vacant. I was told they would not seat us until all of he guests were there. I said I would like to reserve a room or at least a few tables to make sure we wouldnt be left standing during the dinner service. I even produced a credit card and said I would gladly make a deposit. They refused and said they would seat us when the rest of the guests arrived. We had people coming in from out of town so changing locations was easier said than done. After a few more guests arrived I spoke to the manager and said we were only missing four guests, the restaurant and our party was getting tired of waiting around the lobby and politely asked if we could be seated. She said "no, only when all the guests ae here". I tried to call the remaining guests to see about a new restaurant. After a bit the manager walked up to our group and asked if the party was all here, one of the guests looked at our party and said a few were stuck in traffic". The manager said "tell me when they all get here" and went to leave. I followed her and told her I had been polite, direct and tried to work with her unreasonable actions but I had my fill of her unprofessional behavior. It was dinner service, the restaurant was filling up fast, I tried to make her understand the situation and even offered to make a deposit and my guests were tired of waiting. She refused so I got louder and asked to speak to the owner immediately and demanded to be seated immediately and any other respectable establishment of that size had reservations. At the risk of making a scene she quickly backed down and seated the group. Our waitresses were great! They took care of us with lot of refills, side dishes and asked us how we liked out meat cooked but when check time came they refused to split our checks despite repeatedly being told it was no problem. My guess is the manager did it to be petty but we all chipped in and the crises was averted. Over all the food is great, the waitstaff was conversational and attentive, the management was terrible, unprofessional and childish.

We were looking for a new fancy restaurant (preferring Korean) for Valentines day and we found Omi in Carrolton TX. The first several reviews before mine were averaging "okay" and not excellent (considering the mathematical formula of the grades/stars given by the reviewees and the quantity of reviews) -3.8 average at the time I was searching in Google. We used our Garmin GPS driving to Omi and the end point was only until the compound of Omi. The compound was really big and almost all if not 100% of the businesses in that compound were Korean or Japanese. In short, we kind of had a hard time locating Omi specifically and that we had to read each and every business names searching for it...We were not familiar of the methodologies dining in a Korean Grill place, good thing, in the end somebody very good in english Korean-crew spoke to us to teach us how things go in their restaurant. Their "unlimited" rate is very affordable for the foods available with it (most are meats, unlimited grilled-meats!). It was $19 each head for 3 of us while our 4rth companion got "ala carte" (she was on religious-fasting then) seafood soap and she did not have to order her veges for extra coz we had a lot of veges-side-dish comes with our 3 people unlimited-rate. She was envious and drooling of the tempting grilled-meats in front of her saying that she would come back after her fasting. Her curiosity and enviness came up as she can see 3 of us were really really enjoying our unlimited orders. The place is very decent. The restroom is not enough to accommodate more than 1 person who would need to do his/her thing, mens restroom only has cubicled toilet bowl and a couple of urinals (not sure womens). Wise choice we went late afternoon that Valentines day coz by the time we checked-out, the queue, especially to the the grilling-tables, was really long! Will definitely come back, the 4 of us there. Good food, good staff and good price for the fancy place.

Okay, I knew they were terrible at splitting checks in a big group but I never thought splitting a check between two people were just as BAD. Im done with this damn place! Your food doesnt even taste as good anymore and there are so many other Korean restaurants around. I had dinner here with my friend. She ordered a Sprite and we shared the food. We told the ahjumma cashier to split the check evenly to make it easier. Here is where turn #1 happen, she somehow had trouble with splitting up the check right in the middle. She then made it harder for herself and everybody else around her by calling on two other ahjummas and they were trying to split up a check between two people. Its just simple math, wtf is your deal? The three of them couldnt figure it out so they decided to charge us for the individual dishes. Okay, thats fine. Heres where it takes turn #2. My friend told her to put the Sprite on her check because that was her drink. The dumb cashier didnt comprehend and charge my friend for one item and put the rest on my check. So I paid for stuff I didnt even consume. Not only was it the only one item but it was the cheapest item we ordered and she made me pay for the most expensive item and drinks I didnt even have. I dont mind buying my friends drink but Im just pissed that the cashier didnt even bother asking who had the drink or asking if it was right before she swiped our cards. And the fact that shes too dumb to do simple math. I dont know why its so freaking hard to do SIMPLE MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU TAKE THE TOTAL AND DIVIDE IT BY NUMBER OF PARTIES. THATS HOW YOU GET A SPLIT CHECK! Im never coming back here. Dont want to deal with BS! Also there were flies everywhere inside when we were dining! What the heck?

Been here three times. I live in Oklahoma in a town that has a pretty good Korean restaurant. I'm also Half-Korean and even though I don't consider myself an expert at Korean cuisine, this place is still good to eat at. The food is pretty good. The sidedishes are okay. Probably really traditional but I only eat the kimchi, turnips, bean sprouts, and fish cakes. The most recent time I went, I ordered kimchi soup.the.only thing odd about it was that it had rice cake in it and that was the first time I've had the soup with rice cake. The pork in it made the dish really hearty. My boyfriend and I also ordered some mandoo and it was super good! I've eaten both store bought and homemade mandoo and this mandoo is so good! :) Definitely order it! My half-Korean boyfriend ordered Korean ribs. We weren't token.impressed with them. Got the feeling it was marinated in soju. Neither of our mothers do that. And for me, the ribs weren't sweet enough. Maybe that's the American in me talking, lol. Another thing that threw me off was the second time I ate here, my boyfriend and I had sliced pork belly and typically, it is served with red leaf lettuce leaves that you can stuff with rice and sauce but Omi had like shredded red leaf lettuce that acted almost as a sidedish. We both agreed the food isn't better than either of our mother's but still a good place to have some Korean food. One downside though. In our most recent experience here, it was as if our waitress completely forgot about us after she delivered our food. We had to get another waitress to get us a to-go container, give us our check, and cash us out. What a bummer. :/
