Been wanting to try this place for a while. Wish we never had. Sign says wait to be seated... so we waited. And waited. And waited. The place was dead and a couple staff members walked passed us with no acknowledgement. Finally got seated with a highly unenthusiastic waiter. Took our drink orders... about 5 mins later he came back with chips and salsa and had forgotten what we wanted to drink. In the mean time a fight broke out 2 booths away. I believe the guy was trying to double dip with two ladies. Guess he got his scheduling wrong. I found this vary humorous. Placed our order... the food came out fairly quick. At least some of it did. I had to remind the guy of what we ordered and it eventually found its way to our table. Food was mediocre. We were done eating, trying to be polite and wait on the check. I finally gave up, walked to the cash register, recited our order and paid WAY TOO MUCH for the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Will never go back and I strongly encourage you to heed my words.

This is the only Mexican restaurant I go to. I always get seated right away. My beer is always in my hand within minutes. Chips and salsa are always on point. Staff and the owner are always attentive and ask if I need anything at the appropriate times. Prices are a little steep at around $12.50 for most of the entrees but you get a lot of food. And honestly this is one of the better places to go for Mexican food imo. Ive never had a bad experience here. People complaining probably came in at an extremely busy time which I think is rare. and are the type that you cant make happy even if the restaurant handed out 5 bucks with every meal!

Tried this based on ratings, somewhat disappointed. The fajitas were pretty good for ten bucks but some of the salsa served with the chips were past their expiration date, based on taste. The place didnt seem all that clean and the owner was more occupied with surfing the net on his lap top than helping the staff. The wait staff was pretty attentive. I had the chicken & shrimp fajita and the shrimp, although good size and plentiful, it was not fresh the chicken was almost the consistency of ground beef, small grainy and tough! Overall Id say a fair value but there are better Mexican establishments.

This has been the best Mexican food Ive ever had. The salsas are spicy and flavorful. The portion sizes are huge, but the food is cheap. My dad had difficulty eating the food here because of the spice level (he cant handle spicy food at all), but I absolutely loved it! We went slightly past regular lunchtime, but there were still a good amount of people inside chowing down. Its soooooo good! I really am serious when I say this was the most delicious mexican food Ive ever had. I havent been there in a year, but I cant wait to drive through Winston again just to stop by.

I have always loved coming to this restaurant, has always been really great food and service, but tonight me and my 10 year old were extremely disappointed, the prices have gone up, and before I could even finish I found myself getting sick in the bathroom, my stomach twisting, I thought maybe it was just me or a stomach bug, but shortly after arriving back to the table to gather the bill and my son, he complained of a stomach ache. Instead of going to see the Winston Salem Symphony Orchestra tonight, we are at home with achy stomachs. I will not go back.

This place used to be great...... Now it just sucks a**..... They have raised there prices outrageously and the waitresses r so rude.... The restrooms were just nasty.... Drunks screaming and cussing..... I thought I was going to a family restaurant with my kids but it sounded more like a bar.... The chips r stale, the salsa was watered down, the pico de gillo was old, and they took forever with our order but still managed to messed it up..... And the plates where hotter then the food and I could hold the plates........ I SWEAR NEVER AGAIN......

First time at this place. The service is terrible. Our waitress sat at the bar staring at her cell phone while I awaited to get my water refilled. My fiance asked twice to get her side of sour cream and she sent someone else to bring it. I told the manager at the register about his service and he just quietly apologized and tried to overcharge us for our dinner. The food was good but the prices are too high. Most of the dishes were $12.50 or higher. Not worth my time anymore or yours.

We sat ourselves, had to get our own menus , finally after 8 mins we got a server to get our drinks. They neglected to tell us they squeeze sour cream on top of their food that looks like white cheese whiz . They also leave what they told me was bay leaves in their beef which was in the two taco lunch special . The beef was very oily . The rice was dry . Their seats were falling apart and the paint was peeling off the walls beside the tables . Bad experience for the whole family .

Sadly,. The second and third trip made this review possible. Long story short. Service was terrible, forgot orders, forgot drinks, forgot refills. Then the food, which has now gone rock bottom. Cold, not just one dish but all dishes were cold. I spoke up, and what I believe was the owner replaced it. Came back stone cold. The carne asada was tough, over cooked and no flavor. Beans were soup and cold. I wont return again. Still looking for decent Mexican in the triad area.

The food is excellent - BUT, But, But - although it may be a coincidence, we dined here on Friday afternoon 08/19/2016 using my debit card to pay. The VERY next day there were two separate "pending" transactions that posted to my account at another Mexican restaurant in California. Be safe and do NOT use a debit card here unless youre a regular patron and trust they would not rip you off.

5 Stars because: location is easy to find, Exterior and interior make you feel like youre south of the border, Service was quick, friendly, and kept the glass full (very important for this reporter), and the food was very flavorful. The best Ive had in NC. Ive been to one in High Point (cant remember which, so that must tell something), and several in Greenville, NC. TG is the best so far.

I dont know what authentic mexican food is like but I can tell you, its like no mexican youve had in Winston. Huge portions, just the right spiciness (I dont like spicy things), tastes AWESOME!!! This is the one and only one Ill eat at from now on. My husband got severe food poisening from Monterey on Silas Creek so we were hesitant about mexican. This place is Five stars for sure.

Great food and decent prices. The drinks are amazing and very tasty with hood amount of alcohol. The service is decent, but cant complain since they brought chips and salsa and water (refilled when empty). Overall id recommend the place for great quality food and drinks!
