SOOOO DISSAPOINTED.. THEY ARE SO CHEAP!!! going downhill! used to be my #1 favorite place to eat. All of my family are regulars here. I would always recommend them because they USED to have great service the best salsa n chips and good food. So my experience already started at not a good start because we were handed some extremely watered down salsa for our chips. Like you might get one chips worth from the whole cup. When we asked the waiter which was a short older guy, maybe could have been a manager, he said because of the economy and they had to make it stretch because people were eating too much off it! Helloooo... Obviously people enjoyed it.. by changing it and watering it down, then adding extra spice to try and disguise how watered down it is, especially for people who go there alot, their going to notice and its going to start things off unhappy and displeasing to them. Their about quanity not quality, once you start being chincy and cutting corners, they become just like every other restaurant, and they will not stand out. not to mention the waiter seemed to have an attitude. No matter what waiter we used to get it WAS great service. Now the last two times horrible!! They need to step it back up before they start losing their good reputation and have alot of unhappy customers.

Great food, great service. I have always been satisfied when visiting this location. Not to be confused with Mexican food this restaurant is more of a TexMex cuisine style from Texas or the surrounding border states. In addition, you can find other Latin American, primarily Cuban, dishes like Ropa Vieja which is a sauté shredded beef and Masitas de Cerdo which are Pork Chunks served with white rice, black beans and fried plantains or Tostones. All dishes can be switched from Latin to Mexican like the rice and beans for Yellow Rice and Refried Beans but not the Guacamole. This classic Mexican dish can never be switched or changed when included in an order. You can always add a side order of your dish does not include it. 4/5 for taste, service, cleanliness and price. The only thing missing is perhaps the lack of live music which would take this place to another level making it more of an intimate space rather than a good place to take the family or loved one for a great meal at an affordable price. This place is great for tourists or locals alike. In my opinion it is a far better option than all the other near by restaurants.

I really want to give this place NO stars!!! Food was ok, nothing to brag about, but the service was beyond horrendous. Place was empty and our waitress, Andrea, was nowhere to be found when we needed assistance. We asked for extra salsa 3 time but, never got it. Needed napkins and was forced to take them from the empty tables that surrounded us cause we couldnt find her. Waited almost 20 minutes for our Margaritas. Then we asked for our check and my friend gave Andrea her card...2 mins later she comes back with two receipts for $25.97 that said declined. So we gave her cash. Then my friend said thats weird so she called her bank. Bank told her that one transaction for this place went through for 26.95 and another got declined for 31.27! None of those amounts added up to what was on the receipt. Manager, Victor was non apologetic and didnt seem to care about our distress. Over all this was the worst lunch experience we have ever had and to think this place was my friends favorite place to go. We will never visit this place again.

I went there several months ago but never got the chance to write a review. My brother bragged about this place, so I finally went. The food was OKAY at most, that was until I saw a bug in it. I am so happy I decided to look in the beans as I was scarfing it down, or I would have eaten a beetle. I was disgusted !! I brought it to the attention of the waitress and she acted as if she didnt know what to do. I called the supervisor who only took off my meal but charged the two other parties there. I didnt make a scene and was cool about the situation, but I expected a free meal at the least for this disgusting experience. The 2 parties with me didnt finish their meal because they saw the beetle, but the supervisor only took mine off and seemed like he didnt care. Guess what? Lesson Learned. I wont ever ever eat there again. My advice is try Ole Ole by Broward Mall they are way better and not dirty

I was in the mood for mexican food and La Bamba is the nearest restaurant to me. I order a shrimp-steak fajita and a shrimp fajita. When I got home I realized that I was missing the tortillas, so I called the hostess told me that they were going to credit be to orders of tortillas for my next visit. Since I dont go there ever, I asked for a refund for the 2 orders of tortillas. She transfer me to manages Isma. He said that he was going to credit me two fajita orders for my next visit. Then, he said "so dont go asking for 3 free fajitas!" I was appalled I paid 43 dollars for my food that by the way CHILIS HAS BETTER FAJITAS! and they arent even really mexican!! I dont recommend this place and maybe that is why it was empty !Please do your self a favor and go to another mexican restaurant with better customer service.

This place used to be very good, but some of the regular wait staff has moved on and the service has seriously declined. Food and drinks are still good, but we had a party of 7, made a reservation and still had to wait for a table. The waiter didnt even come around to offer srinks for 10-15 minutes. Then the drink orders were wrong TWICE. The waiter brought 4 out of 7 plates, 10 minutes later brought 2 more plates, and another 15-20 minutes later tried to bring the last dish and a forgotten side dish. We refused them, like you must be kidding. Everyone else was already done eating! Awful service now, we will not be back. We miss Carmen and Jocelyn terribly. No big surprise, we then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the bill while our waiter serviced 2 other tables with big parties.

I had not been to la Bamba in a while because the rice was so bland like white rice colored yellow . I stopped going to la Bambi because of not getting authentic yellow rice. I figured I would give them another try and found when I had a few bites of the yellow rice it had loads of green peppers in it which gave me such bad heartburn i could not eat my dinner.there was never any mention of peppers in the rice or should I say a bit of yellow rice in peppers .if la bamba can not make yellow rice without peppers I will not be back I was not even given any discount for this horrible experience I hope they will give the patrons the choice of no peppers for those that can not eat them.it would be nice if someone contacts me.

To be fair, we were here at peak time Sat night. We were seated pretty quickly, greeted quickly by the waiter, then it went a little South. He was in a big rush to get our order, and with a large menu, it takes a little while to find what you want. They brought a small basket of chips and some salsa, then nothing . We finished the chips and asked for more. The waiters response was "Ill get you some when I can." It was another 10 mins before the chips arrived, then he came back and wanted us to remind him what we ordered and told us that he was a "a couple minutes late getting our order in." Another 10 mins and our food finally arrived only to find that I had to ask if the fajitas came with tortillas.
