Ive been to Senor Bravos many a night. They have the best chips Ive ever tasted. They are thicker than regular chips, possibly double fried, and actually have a flavor of their own. If youre a fan, order chips with guacamole. They have chunky, (hopefully) handmade guacamole. It is well-seasoned and delicious. Anywho, a friend visited over the holiday and wanted Mexican food. Senor Bravos was the first place to pop into my mind. She ordered a 4 taco sampler and I ordered 3 regular beef tacos. The meat is never greasy or salty. Their rice is very good as well. If you like Spanish rice you will probably order some to go. The waiters were very nice, very attentive. Its a laid back place with good people and simple, delicious food. Also, their alcohol menu is nothing to laugh at. They have pretty much every alcohol you could want with Mexican food. They are known for their variety of margaritas. If you havent been, give Senor Bravos a chance when you want Mexican food.

I went to this restaurant with the hopes I would get a tasty meal and good service. Here are my results: 1) The chips and salsa tasted good. 2) My meal tasted like It was microwaved and was not very good. 3) I am not sure who told them they had refried beans for sale, but that is not what they served. 4) My waiter did take my order and did put it on my table. Never once did they ask me how my meal was. 5) I had to find my waitor to pay my bill and when I they discovered I was paying cash they started to complain until they learned half of the change was their tip. Just highly disappointing. I am not sure who gave this place a rating higher than one start but those people are lying to you the reader, this place was really bad.

My husband and I checked out this establishment and really enjoyed our meal. We were greeted pleasantly and the order came out in a reasonable time. Homemade chips and salsa were authentically Mexican. Grilled chicken soft tacos and beans were delicious and the pork salsa verde was spicy and fantastic. The area near us could have used a little swiffering, but all in all it was a good experience and, most importantly, the food was great.

Honestly, the food isnt bad... pretty good actually. Ive been there quite a few times, mostly on group dinners with friends. The operation is unscrupulous, plain and simple. They water down the drinks, they overcharge large groups. One time I went there, they charged us more for a pitcher of drinks than what was depicted as the menu price. I confronted them and they were completely unapologetic. For me, that kills the dining experience.

I am not sure if all of the raving reviewers are privy to a special menu or know some trick to receive a decent meal but holy cow that was the worst food Ive had in a long time. The tortilla of my burrito was soggy and tasted like it had been sitting uncovered in a fridge for days absorbing every smell. Everything was just abysmal. On second thought, the water was good and our waiter was pleasant enough.

Coming from Arizona, Ive had my fair share of Mexican food and Señor Bravo is definitely and surprisingly as good as the restaurants back home. The taco and burrito appeared bland at first but were seasoned well especially when complimented with their hotter (requested) salsa. The atmosphere is reminiscent of restaurants in Arizona and Mexico. Definitely worth a try.

If you like waiting 10 minutes for someone to take your drink order then 10 more minutes for someone to take your food order then 10 minutes for your food to come out and have just a few minutes left on your lunch break then this place is for you. And they werent even that busy! Now I know why...

The service is very slow. Had to ask for everything. Chips and Tacos are too crunchy (overcooked) and the soda is flat. (Just like the personalities of the people working there.) This restaurant has potential but the current staff is NOT making it work. Will not go back any time soon.

Went for lunch and enjoyed a pleasant atmosphere with a large lunch menu, good prices (lunch), fresh food (homemade tortillas and chips), and good service. Someone with me commented about the overall tackiness of the interior, but Id say it was appropriate for the genre.

I enjoyed my 4th visit to Senor Bravo last night. Once again, the food was great and very authentic (based on my recent time spent in Mexico City). The atmosphere was fun and the prices were excellent. Not sure what the people who are complaining are not happy with.

If I could rate this place Id give it zero stars. Came here with my family in the middle of the afternoon expecting to eat a good meal but the hostess was rude and we waited 15 minutes for someone to come greet us but no one ever did so we had to get up and leave.

In town from Arizona, and the rating is kind when compared with run of the mill shops of its style in the Southwest, but maybe this is considered good quality Tex Mex in North Carolina. Waiter was a bit of a space cadet, but was very polite. Overall, . . . meh.

We have lived in Winston all of our lives...what a find! Very friendly service. I had a surprise for my wife and the owner and staff was very accommodating with helping me pull it off. This place is always busy, a sure sign of doing things right.

Had to walk out of the restaurant. Waitress told me bluntly that I need to order my food right away (even before she get our drinks) because there is a party in restaurant and she wont be able to come back again to take out orders.

Great food. However, restaurant needs to work on cleanliness. Staff seems too lazy and careless to sweep under and beside tables. Not a pleasant sight to customers consuming food and visibly seeing poor sanitation techniques.

The menu had a large variety of unique dishes. The salsa was blande but the chips seemed home made. The family agreed that the taste diminished quickly with each bite which was disappointing for the price we paid.

I eat here several times a week! My husband and I usually split the fajitas for one, ad the portions are large! The service can be slow at times, but the food makes it worth it! Best Mexican food Ive had!

Unapologetically Mexican. Recommend getting the tacos or the torta Mexican sandwich. Fulfills the duty of being more traditional Mexican food. Very good
