The food was great. I got the Caldo de Pollo and it was delicious. This is very authentic mexican like I like it, not the Americanized style like a Don Pablos or Chipotle. The 3 stars starts and ends with the service. Waitresses and staff arent very welcoming to non Spanish speakers, and I wasnt checked on at all the entire time I was there (at least an hour.) I tend to notice that happen a lot when I visit authentic ethnic restaurants (not just mexican) so Ive grown to tolerate it. Overall my experience was enjoyable and I would recommend this location to anyone who is fond of great mexican food. I will be going back again.

Amazingly good food. Best torta I have ever eaten. Taco al pastor was great. Mole was delicious. The restaurant was packed at lunch and I can see why. We ate outside and it was ok. I almost thought I was in downtown Cancun. I highly recommend!

Amazing Taco! This is a spanish speaking restaurant, so if you dont know it, be patient & learn some spanish in the process! (The servers know English well). Great food, authentic experience. Crafteds got nothing on La Perlita!

Best authentic mexican food. If you say its not, your clearly not Mexican. The only thing i would like is for it to be a bigger place because it gets packed. Agua de horchata is the best. La de jamaica is always sour.

In a word, authentic. The best tacos in town. Dont be thrown by the neighborhood, the lack of spoken English or the 85 sanitation rating. Just get a plate of tacos and a coke and be happy.
