The people at my job like coming to this place for any kind of celebration. The idea is that theres something here for everybody. Im not convinced thats the case. Look, theres not much too this place. Its overpriced at like $15 a person. They trick you into thinking thats a good value because its a buffet, but think about it. When is the last time you spent $10 on a meal and walked away hungry? Portions are huge at restaurants anyway, especially here in the south. You may eat 3 plates of food but its not actually bigger than a burger and fries from somewhere else crappy like applebees. The only real good thing here is the sides. From tbe potatos to the mac and cheese. I could eat that all day. It doesnt taste fresh at all, but still good in that processed as hell way. The bad is everything else. The meats are generally dry, just due to the nature of buffets. They sit under heat lamps for long stretches of time. Youre not allowed to refill your own drink. The bussers do that, which results in a confusing tipping dilemma. The desserts are sub par. This GC in particular tries to sell froyo as ice cream. Do they think people wont notice? It is totally different. This place hovers between 1 and 2 stars for me, but im nice so I round up

Had fried chicken that was raw ,our waitress said she was going to tell the cook. They never pulled the raw chicken from the bar and I went to the manager . He took a thermometer from his shirt pocket and stuck in a piece in the pan. He said it was good and cooked. Leaving the piece he stuck in the pan he grabbed another from the pan and broke it with his hands to show a blood red vein inside and said that the chicken was fresh chicken and not frozen. The manager acted like all I wanted is to eat for free. This is totally not the case !!!!! I didnt want anyone to get sick from their incompetence. I will never return to Golden Corral for any meal any time anywhere. Its outrageous for a restaurant to not pull uncooked from a buffet bar . The only regret I have is that I didnt get in touch with the regional manager concerning this issue.

We took our son here on sunday. Yes the place was crowded with church goers. The service was awful! There were NO clean forks. The guy at the meat station was speaking rudely to the patrions about what cut of meat they wanted. Then proceeded to yell at the cook because he needed a plate to put 2 cuts of ribs on it. Which the cook had to stop cooking to go fetch a plate. The food was just the same as the service, correcrion most of the food was gone. If there was food, it was cold. I know its under a heated station, but food that has been out for over 15 mins will still be cold. I paid 40$ for my family to eat cold food and have bad service. They only thing that i can say i likes was the salad, because I made it. I will not be returning to another golden corral.

Weve enjoyed eating here before, and thought wed enjoy the prime rib or steak tonight. Not so much. Both of these headlining items were too rare to eat. Weve asked for a more cooked piece off the end, and been told they cant do that because management told them not to, that it would dry out the rest of the meat. Tonight the steak was unusually rare as well as so stringy to be inedible. OK, there are other things to eat, if your star items arent you to par, but not tonight. No mashed potatoes in either of the two locations on the bar, no fried chicken, pot roast burnt, no watermelon. The service was excellent, a shame the food was substandard.

It wasnt great at all. Server asked us if we would sit on the side where everyone else was sitting b/c she didnt want to have to run back & forth like a chicken with her head cut off!!! Food was not that great! I lost my appetite after I went up the second time & saw 2 flies flying around inside the hoods on the food. The seafood salad was way below temperature. It was actually very warm. The best experience there was the greeter who took our money when we first walked in & dessert. I did not enjoy the experience at that particular Golden Coral. The one on Capital Blvd keep the food fresh!

If the guy at the register is my 1st contact, then he needs to say Hello or some type of greeting. He was very short with his comments and not friendly at ALL. I asked a very simple question ..."where are the bags" ...his response was "over there"...where is the customer service? Today is Thursday the 25th of May at 6:20, so to the non-customer having man at the register... Fuquay Golden Corral here we come. Their customer service is always amazing!

Clean place + great service! The restaurant and tables were extremely clean on my visit, and the wide variety of food was tasteful and easy to enjoy! Even better, our server Denise was very lively and easy to talk to; our drinks never even ran dry once! She genuinely cared for our experience and I will certainly come back for service like that!

Absolutely do not eat at this location! !! Completely nasty, dirty, dirty bathrooms, food was not good and absolute waste of time and money!!! People was actually getting their cash back because they were dissatisfied with their experience. WILL NOT EAT HERE AGAIN!!!!!!! THIS PLACE NEEDS CLOSING!!!!!!

The food isnt as good as it used to be and thats for any location. I had my baby shower here and the waitress I had was great and she made sure we had refills without having to ask and she made sure she kept the tables clean. I will definitely recommend this location for a baby shower or any event.

Food variety wasnt nearly as good as other locations. Front staff and our server was very pleasant however another waitress was not. We got to hear about the feces that was smeared on the floor and toilet and how she was the one having to clean it. Its so great to hear while youre eating.

The waiter Bob .told me that the rolls were on the bar but since I was sitting down he would go get me some. Im just saying if you tell me just ask if you need anything and Ill get for you And you are my waiter then I expect you to do your job without the attitude. But the food was good

Sorry to report...Garner location has FULL GROWN ROACHES. I completed the survey to make management aware of the situation and hopefully they will aggressively address it. I like GC and enjoy their food. Location is fairly new, so I hope the situation is promptly dealt with.

Waitress cleared my plates without asking if i was done. Then said, oh do u want ur plates. REALLY??? After they are all stacked on top of each other? ???? Waited 10 minutes, for a refill on my drink too. NO TIP TONIGHT, WASTE OF MONEY TO EAT HERE.

It may have been the time of day but the service was slack and they got the cotton candy out of what appeared to be a trash bag and the cotton candy had already started to harden. I will go to another Golden Corral next time.
