Great food and service. We were already late to dine in and they were about to close in few minutes. Im sure.. It was only us in the restaurant. Still all our orders were accepted. Ordered about 8 - 10 South India items and they were real quick in getting it on to the table within 15 - 20 mins. The items ordered were really delicious and served hot and fresh. We hardly left anything to box as it was so good :-) The dessert (Halwa) that was served (individually) at the end as a compliment was really awesome..! Dont know how many restaurants will provide such a good compliment for individual dinners at closing hours. Thank you very much for your service and really appreciate for extending your hours for about 10 mins after your closing hours for us to complete our dinner. Not many restaurants do it and I have seen many of them rushing the customers to order their food as their kitchen will close 30 mins early then their actual closing time. Heard that they are still trying to add more South India items in their menu, really excited to give a visit again. I will definitely visit this restaurant again and often. Continue your standards, you are really doing great South India food.

I have now been here for dinner and lunch. Both were exceptional. My wife and I are thrilled to have a great Indian restaurant near our house. This is a mostly South Indian restaurant, but they have North Indian dishes as well. If you have never had South Indian, this would be a great introduction. Dinner: The waiter was extremely helpful and explained many of the items that I have not tried. The chutneys at dinner were some of the best I have ever had and the peanut chutney that came with my dosa was amazing. My wife and I will absolutely be coming back. Lunch: The buffet was hot, fresh and delicious. The Manchurian Baby Corn was my favorite item. I complimented the waiter and he gave me a small to-go cup when we were leaving (picture). Great service! The paneer tikki masala was very good. I came here with my coworkers and all 4 of them agreed that we should come back soon. They are not the most adventurous eaters, so that is saying something. Very friendly and attentive staff.

I wanted to give 4.5 stars, but Im comfortable giving it a 5. Were big Southern Indian fans and have had it all over the world. Aarusuvai ranks up there as one of the best weve had! There was nothing that wasnt delicious - though the masala dosa could have used either a slight bit more potatoes or a smaller dosa...tastewise, though...it was delicious! Service was a wee slow and we had to chase down our check, but that was a minor part of the night. My wife and I shared a masala dosa, dry Gobi Manchurian that was the perfect amount of spiciness, malai kofta...our standard by which we measure every Southern Indian restaurant that we go to, butter naan that was perfectly cooked, and a delicious mango lassi (though Id have liked a bigger glass). Well definitely go back and are pleased to have such a great Southern Indian place so close to us versus having to go out to Morrisville to Sri Bhavan thats not as good (but still ranks up there pretty high).

The food at Aarusuvai is simple, yet the flavors have remarkable depth and authenticity. The restaurant has remained true to its south Indian roots, and the food evokes the nostalgia of home. I have been to this restaurant several times, and their growing reputation as one of the best south Indian Restaurant, in Raleigh, is well deserved. The staff are warm, courteous and friendly, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food is very affordable. I would thoroughly recommend Aarusuvai to anyone who wishes to experience an authentic homemade south Indian meal. I know Ill certainly be returning soon. My favorite dish at Aarusuvai is their spicy Chettinad Goat Curry served with freshly handmade Garlic Naan (Indian bread.) I do not drink, but I have heard my friends rave about some of the mixed drinks served there, like the Aarusuvai Flavors and the Mai Tai. They also seem to have a good selection of wines.

Aarusuvai Flavors is named correctly -- its a buffet of flavors, not just food. Im a huge fan of Southern Indian food and Aarusuvai nails it. The food is based on an owners grandmothers recipes, and it tastes like it. Like sharing a wonderful meal with family or friends at their home. Its accessible with just the right amount of spice that makes it delicious, intriguing, but never overpowering. Id recommend trying a little of everything, and going back for what you really like. This isnt a shovel-all-you-can-eat restaurant. Dishes change day to day. Youll really want to taste every bite, and thats not something Ive experienced in an Asian buffet before. Well priced, great service, and very personable staff. Im here every week either by myself, with my wife, or whomever I can grab to take along. Always a nice experience.

Came in for lunch with the original thought of splitting a appetizer and entree with my girlfriend since we where not that hungry but was told they only offer the buffet for lunch. Ask our waiter how much was the buffet and she said 9.99. So we decided to stay and eat. Food was alright, On our way out we go to pay and then was told our bill was 32$ i asked how come so much and was told on the weekend its 14.99. I explained i was told differently by the staff. the manager then said she was new and made a mistake. After going back and forth few a few minutes the manager would not honor what there staff said was the price. He was quite rude about it aswell. Never going back!!!!!

If you want to enjoy real Indian food, and not the Indian food catered for the masses, then Aarusuvai is the place to go. They have a decent lunch buffet, but the real magic is in their dinner menu. They have items that you will not find on any other menu in the Triangle area - these are recipes handed down from generation to generation. The food will literally blow your mind away with all the spices and flavors, and no, that does not mean it has to be spicy. The food isnt unnecessarily greasy, and every option is made fresh. The prices are very decent. We are glad we found this hidden gem of a place. We make the 45 minute drive without any complaints!

1.0 star rating 7/16/2017 Most horrible experience. I had a groupon for this place, called them around 12:15 and asked them if i can come for lunch and use my groupon, they said i cant use groupon for lunch buffet but i can still come and order off the menu. i drove 20+ miles with a small kid and i was told that i cant order off the menu as they are busy and they wont allow me to use groupon for lunch buffet. i just walked out. i seriously not recommend anyone to this place who doesnt know the meaning of customer service. WOW! WOW! WOW! This restaurant is fantastic! Went on a Sunday for their lunch buffet and the selection is extremely extensive. The flavors of the food are rich and tasty. The decor is modern and the atmosphere is cozy. This is by far the best Indian in the area! A must try!!!! The owner is very nice and engaging to the customers. Dont waste any time deciding on an Indian restaurant, this is the one! You will love it!!!!
