Lately this restaurant has bad customer service and slow to serve. The food is great, but I feel they are going to loose a lot of customers if they dont improve. They have this Caucasian boy working as a waiter and hes the only one working on a weekend. One other time we were in there and he was slammed with no help. Some other customers even got up and left. Today, I noticed the same thing. A young 13 year old girl brought us menus as we sat ourselves down, but didnt even greet us or ask what we wanted to drink. She just turned around and left. We got our drinks ordered 10 minutes later by the Caucasian boy and the boys at the counter didnt even bother to help the Caucasian boy. There were other young workers behind the counter, one in particular was on the computer the whole time. Once our order was taken it took 21 minutes later to get 2 bowls of Pho and it wasnt even that busy in the restaurant. I counted 14 people total in the restaurant. This restaurant has gone down hill with customer service and long wait time to be served.

Dont get your hopes up with these over the top, phenomenal reviews. This place is lacking in many ways. You will have to get the servers attention for drink refills. The Nuoc Cham (dipping sauce) is watered down and almost tasteless. The peanut sauce for the fresh rolls is hoisin sauce mixed with peanut butter. I got take out fresh rolls and asked the serve to provide real peanut sauce. She claimed the watered down hoisin mixture was really peanut sauce, I assured her it was not. Instead, I got pure peanut butter. These small things used to cut corners and save a few pennies says alot about a place.

Yesterday was my second time eating there. I wasnt really impress with my first time, but I was nearby and decided to eat there with my family. The food they tried serving us was horrible. The fried rice I ordered my kids were burnt. There were chunks of burnt stuff in it. Then another fried rice was hard, while a separate fried rice dish was soft. I know they used old rice, instead of new rice. My vermicelli dishs lettuce was old, you saw the brown spots on them. My young kids were even complaining that the food was not good and wished we went somewhere else. I did too.

Weve eaten Vietnamese across the US. And have spent the better part of a year looking for our go to Vietnamese restaurant. Although i do wish the parking lot was better paved (come before dark so you can see the pot holes outside). Once inside, this is the Vietnamese we were looking for!!! Spring rolls are amazing and they supply lettuce which is the best way to eat them. Rice noodle dishes on point. Fried rice, beef patty and fried egg were exactly the way my husband likes them. Go here during daylight hours but go you should!!!

ER. MAH. GHERD. I had the tofu fresh rolls, the pork over cracked rice entrée and a tall glass of café sue da (viet coffee w condensed milk served cold) and I nearly soiled my pantaloons cus of the food-gasm. It was so delicious and the staff was so friendly, you cant help but leave that joint in a state of euphoria. Dont let the dilapidated, run down, quasi abandoned shopping mall its located in, or the bombed out parking lot that looks like a casualty of the Tet offensive fool you, this place is MF great, and I will be back!

Ive never been disappointed with this place. The food portion is huge and I can never eat all of it. Its literally my boyfriends favorite place to eat. Today I tried the wings for the first time and I was floored! Truc definitely deserves more than five stars. Visit the restaurant and be pleasantly surprised.

I enjoy this place for a big bowl of pho! It is family owned and the father does the cooking and the mother is serving. Very sweet and cute couple. The pho is absolutely perfect and delicious... It reminds me of my nephews grandmas pho! Great portion sizes and its just simply a good place for good pho!

Yes the parking lot is insane. But that is of no fault of Truc. First experience with Vietnamese food, and I have been here 3 times while in Charlotte for training. I keep going back because the food is great, try the salted plum drink. Also order any of the meals with a chili pepper next to it.

We were a bit dubious about this restaurant because of the location but boy were we happily surprised. It was a home run. I had a tofu dish and my fellow had the noodle soup and both were outstanding. It is worth a trip to this dowdy shopping center just to eat at Truc. And my god it was so cheap!

Good food, very authentic, the place is dirty (dishes stacked on tables), our waiter gave us food and then never came back. I had to go back to the kitchen to ask for our check. I loved the fried spring rolls, but I am worried about getting sick eating there.

The prices are exactly what youd expect. What will bring me back, though, is the service. When she noticed I had consumed all my broth and still had noodles, the owner brought another bowl and refilled my soup. Its even better the second time through!

Lets talk about good pho. Its velvety, hot, and full of flavor-- theyve got the good stuff. I would rank this top 2 pho Ive eaten, the other being in Philadelphia. Im going back, a lot. The portions and prices are fantastic, and the service is great.

Good vietnamese food, with great proportions. The place is clean and cozy. Food is always freshly prepared. I would recommend, if wanting vietnamese in the area. The parking lot is not great, but worth the trek for good vietnamese.

This is by far the BEST Vietnamese restaurant in Charlotte. Great service. Great food. Bun thit nuong is top notch and so is the pho. You have to try them. I take my family here as often as I can. You will not be disappointed.

Very good hole in the wall. I ordered #13 dry and my sister ordered the Duck wanton dry noodles. Service was great for a Chinese restaurant. They speak English so thats a plus too! I will definitely come back again!!!

Even it is under new management. The pho is authentic and delicious. The take out portion is huge for one person. Dont let the shopping mall fools you, this hole in the wall pho place is awesome!

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Charlotte. The hardest part is deciding between the deliciously rich pho and the perfectly constructed lemongrass beef bun.

The food is as delicious as the strip mall is shady. Do not be deterred by the exterior. The food is great, and this place is definitely an unexpected gem.

Im picky with my pho and this place is really a 3 star at most in my book. But I like to support these small mom and pop restaurants.

Parking lot is terrible but the pho is amazing and authentic. I crave it all the time and no other place compares.
