We have eaten at this restuarant a number of times. The food is excellent; we have never been disappointed. Our issue is simply with the attitude of the servers. They are not friendly, never smile, seem to be bothered by your very existence in their eating establishment. On January 5, 2017 we returned for dinner, having put behind us the last incident with our being treated like trash when we simply asked if we could park in their lot -- after eating a dinner in their place -- while we ran a quick errand. This time, I asked about the Chinese beer, if it was a dark beer or light beer. The response after an eye roll was "its just beer!" Eating out as we all know, is more than just food. How difficult is it to be friendly, welcoming and let the customer know you are happy they have chosen to patronize their business? The only way I can explain this places problem is that they do seem to have a thriving takeout business. Perhaps they assume the table seating is simply an afterthought. That makes little sense though as they do have ample seating in a very nice environment. And again, if you are looking for good food and dont care about the poor service, this may be your place. For myself and my friend, however, well do Beijing the favor not bothering them with any more of our money. The response below about how they were treated after finding a 14 inch hair makes perfect sense. One more thing, the waiter never brought the check, and even after walking over to the register, seemed in no hurry to present us with one, despite our wanting to be out of this place ASAP.

FYI: When you order the Chicken Chow Mein, you are getting something that does not resemble what most Americans and Google images consider Chow Mein or Lo Mein at all. You get a tray full of chicken soup with vegetables and a congealed sauce with white rice. It tastes kind of like bland chicken noodle soup. The other dishes on the menu are SOLID choices. General Tsos, Sesame chicken, crab rangoons, eggrolls, fried rice are all very good and taste classic. The pork fried rice is BANGIN! The clerk is very stingy with soy sauce. Even when you ask for more, you might not get what you ask for. When you pick up your food make sure to open the bag and check for any extras such as spicy pepper oil as we didnt get ours this time. TL;DR Food is great except for the "Chow Mein" which is not chow mein at all. Service could be much better.

The Sesame Chicken wasnt bad. The flavor was good but the quality wasnt what I was hoping for. It had too many fried bread chunks where it should have been chicken. I tried one piece of my friends sesame tofu. The texture was really off. It was extra dry, almost stale like. My friend who is vegetarian, continued to eat as he was hungry and it was late. This was a mistake because he got very ill, lasting through the night and next day. In addition, I am big on customer service. When we walked in there was no one there to greet us. That didnt bother me but when the man did come out he walked right to the counter and looked but he didnt even acknowledge us with a hello as if we bothered him. I should have taken that as a clue and left then. No worries. This will not be on my return list.

I can honestly say that their food is pretty good; however their customer service is horrible. I ordered take out from them on three occasions. My first order I had to call and cancel due to inclement weather. The next two times I ordered from them they refused to make my food unless I came in person. I can see if it was something I did regularly but that wasnt the case. Mind you I did come the last couple of times like I said I would and paid for my order. The second time I let it slide . The third time I called to let them know they would not have my business anymore due to discrimination for one incident . Dont let anything come in the way of ordering take out with them they dont understand emergencies.

Disgusting! I found a 14" hair wrapped in my food. Went to the manager who was totally unconcerned and consumed with his cell phone. Without speaking he walked to my table and I gave him the hair in which he replied "we ah not ah have any hair ah like ah that here. He did not offer any discount. I paid and very loudly said I would never return. It didnt matter since there were only 2 people there. I guess he thought I was trying to scam a free $7 meal. Nasty place.

WE ATE THERE YESTERDAY AND WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED! THE SHRIMP FRIED RICE WAS VERY PLAIN NO TASTE AT ALL AND FOR WHAT WE PAID NOT WORTH IT. WHEN I SAY NO EGG OR GREEN ONION AND THE SHRIMP WAS NOT EVEN FRIED ... I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO EAT THERE FOR DINNER AND ALSO THEY FORGOT ARE EGG ROLL ON TOP OF THAT WITH OUR SESAME SEED CHICKEN DISH SMH... THE ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE CRAB RAGOON & I HATE TO SAY IT BUT WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!

Tried numerous authentic chinese restaurants in Charlotte and Beijing by far blows them all away. I have been looking for a decent chinese restaurant in this town since I moved here 9 years ago and glad to see one has finally arrived. Where have you been?! Fresh, fast and very reasonable prices. Hint: dining in is great too, they did a very nice job with the interior of the place. Hope Beijing will be here for many years to come.

When I visited on 020917 they gave me the impression that I wasnt welcomed. I ordered gen Sao but asked for vege rice instead of fried. I was told it wasnt a option. I asked him why would it not be. He talked down to me said its just not. I asked him again and said Im gonna pay for it, why not. After going back and forth for a min, He then have me a price and I happily paid it, got my food, and wrote this review.

Probably the best Chinese food Ive had in Charlotte. Its a quaint little restaurant with big taste and wallet friendly prices. I went to the place on a hunch during my lunch break and immediately fell in love with the place. It may not look like much from the outside but once you step in and experience the food it will change your perception.

Very clean and inviting compared to most places like it. Food was good, freshly prepared, gladly lacking in the excessive sticky sauces of many chinese places. Plenty of veggies, failed to locate much meat in it though. "Thats what the special is" was their response to being asked about the near-absence of beef.

My husband & I just had a late lunch here. Not many customers at the time. Prompt service. Food was served hot. General Taos Chicken was crispy and sauce sweet & hot. Even the egg rolls were fresh with a lot of crunch to them. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.

Just visited this restaurant for take out. Very friendly staff and had minimal wait time. Order the beef and broccoli, and the sesame chicken. Both dishes were incredible and the egg roll was awesome. Would recommend this for anyone who likes a good chinese restaurant.
