Very bad experience. Called to find out if they delivered or had a sit down. They did not deliver but said they were a sit down restaurant. We got there to find five cheesy booths and no heat. Unfortunately we made the mistake of ordering for carryout. After 10 minutes they gave me food in an open box. By the time i got it home it was cold. The egg drop soup was tasteless slop with no onions seasoning or flavor. The fried rice was not fried at all. It was more like wet rice with yellow food coloring. The egg rolls were so bad i couldnt even eat the soggy dough after removing whatever was in there. Oh yes they forgot the sweet and sour sauce, soy and mustard too. I ordered the hunan shrimp which had fresh ingredients but it was clearly not cooked in the sauce which leaked out on to the floor of my car through the open side of the unsealed container. What little sauce was left had no heat or seasoning. The white rice was good but the little bag of won tons were store bought.

Ive eaten at most of the chinese restaurants in Chicago. This family has great cooks, but the management is terrible. They could spend a few yen and at least fix the cracked vinyl tiles on the floor and replace those hidious bench seats which look like they were bought at auction when a hot dog stand went out of business( talk about uncomfortable!). I ordered the combination pepper steak, and found the meat lacking. The next time i ordered, i complained about the shortage of meat in platter, and was told for an extra $1 or $2 Id get extra meat. I guess they can squeeze a few extra bucks out of you for a decent amount. They also dont pack soy sauce/s&s sauce/mustard in the the order. You have to pick it up yourself at a small table off on the side from cardboard boxes( that is if youre lucky enough to see it on your way out). What a disappointment to find none in the bag after traveling all the way home.

Dirty and nasty inside. So cold inside in winter owners kids had to wear winter coats, hats and gloves to keep warm while their parents worked in kitchen. Our food was not so great and Chinese food is my favorite. We had gone there on a reference from a friend. Never plan to go back again. Our favorite is China Chef on RT 45 in Third Lake by GLC. China Chef is way better and has good prices. Sorry Hong Kong we tried your place, but we were grossed out by inside and froze while we waited for our carryout. Was not impressed by your prices.

They arent exactly the Ritz when it comes to dining in, but its basically a carry out. Everything I have had from here is good, including the egg rolls. (no idea what these people are talking about). In addition, they dont short you on anything (Sorry if a slab of roast beef in your Kung Pao is what you were expecting). A good rule of thumb, I find, for Chinese food is whether the General TSos chicken is soggy and tasteless, and theres is very good. The fried rice is good, so are the pot stickers.

My wife and I love the food from here and they are more then willing to adjust what they cook if you ask (better to do it in person). I like their egg rolls, but not their soup. They do pick-up and dine in, but dont recommend eating in since its really not built for it, more of a quick lunch if anything. When we do order by phone, my wife normally leaves right away and its ready when she gets there and we live about 4 blocks away.

This is probably the must nastiest Chinese food I have ever tasted. I ordered a Mongolian beef and it tasted like they put a pound of salt in it. The fried rice tasted like it was like a week old. I never try to bad reviews up but I want to warn people so they dont have the Same experience. I had to end up throwing away my food. I was hoping but cant write a 5 star review since it is a family run business. (more like 0 stars)

Ive been eating here for a few years now, almost exclusively for take-out. This is not the kind of place where youre going to take a date to dine-in. Prices are good and the food, generally, is pretty good. They have awesome fried wontons (with pork) and I always enjoy their beef and broccoli. General Tsos chicken is also pretty decent. The egg drop soup quality can vary quite a bit but other items are fairly consistent.

This is the finest Chinese place I have ever been to. They have the most authentic food at the lowest price and at the highest quantity. The only thing I dont like is the fortune cookies. They changed the company that they got their fortune cookies from and now all the fortunes are stupid. The fortunes used to be magically relevant but not anymore.

Its difficult to beat the speed of service and price of food at this restaurant. While the store itself appears to be a little run down, the food is expertly prepared in a kitchen right behind the counter. Most dishes are in line with what you would generally expect from an Americanized Chinese restaurant.

Theres no consistency whatsoever which isnt fun. For the 3+ years Ive been coming here they have only messed my order once. They whip up 1-2 meal orders usually withing 10-15 minutes. When it is good its amazing, and 3/5 times its just poor. Atmosphere is not great but the food might be

Im so glad this restaurant is next to me. The sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, fried pot stickers, and crab Rangoons are all great! They also serve your food to-go in sturdy boxes leftover from packaging, so its easy to bring home. Keep up the good work!

This is NOT authentic Chinese Food. The cho Mein is made with WAYY TOO MUCH soy sauce to begin with & their Dumplings are grose. Their boiled Dumplings are made with way TOO MUCH coating its Nasty. I was excited they had them but not impressed. Never Coming Here Again.

This place is awesome. Some of the very best Chinese anywhere - with fantastic prices and orders are prepared very quickly. Be aware that they are not really a sit down restaurant as they do not have air conditioning and only a few benches to sit at.
