Finally, a great Chinese buffet! We travel throughout the United States and are used to (in our opinion) one of the best Chinese buffets anywhere, Mandarin in the Toronto area. So when were traveling we like to see if we can find something even remotely close. We havent had good luck in dozens of attempts... until today! China Doll is a great place with fresh and delicious food. There is a wide variety including beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and veggie dishes. The sushi was a nice addition as well. I cant knock a single thing. And the price was nuts! $11.30 (incl. tax) for the Saturday lunch buffet. Note that the buffet is lunch ONLY, so for dinner youll be ordering off the menu. Very well done China Doll! You WILL see us again!!!

I lived in Mobile years ago and ate here on Sundays after church and it was always very good. I took my family here last Sunday around 1:30 and there was almost no customers. The food was not good and my kids would not even eat the fried rice. Most things were over cooked therefore we didnt even eat half of one small plate of food. I was shocked when we received our $67 bill for four of us to eat a tiny bit of bad food and 3 cups of water and one tea. Worst of all is when I looked at my bank statement and realized they added a $10 tip that I didnt authorize. I called my bank to reverse the $10 charge. I will never return to this restaurant.

I went to China doll on Friday 06/30/2017 around 10 and ordered fried rice which was ok but I also ordered fried chicken wings. The chicken was for my kids and when they took a bite it was raw on the inside. I was so pissed I coulda have passed out. First of all raw chicken will kill a child due to FOOD POISONING! Not to mention they are way to expensive to be giving customers raw chicken. I will never ever in my life eat there again. My hard earned money was wasted. So pissed and I want my damn money back. And also your restaurant isnt clean nor fancy enough to be charging those high ass prices.

Went there one night about a week back, service was good and the place was doing alot of business, but after looking over the menu and tasting the food, I have no idea why. The prices were over the top for simple, run of the mill dishes that you could get anywhere for much less. I ordered wonton soup and the crab rangoon because a cup of soup and an appetizer were all i could afford! Both dishes tasted bad and I left without finishing either...then I had to pay a 12 dollar ticket! There are better and cheaper Chinese places in Mobile. Trust me, dont bother with this place!

It was horrible. Went in at 2:30.half the food was gone. The food that was left was old and stale. When I asked for them to refill the crab cakes they gave me a plate with one crab cake on it that was still frozen and uncooked in the middle. Literally the worst time I ever had at a restraunt. On top of all that the service was terrible and it was 10.50 for one person to eat the lunch buffet. So I paid 22.50 for 2 people to eat food that I wouldnt feed my dog.

Born and raised in China, I think this is so far the only place Ive tried in Mobile that serves authentic Chinese food on a regular basis. Even their lunch buffet features some dishes that would remind me of my moms cooking. To be honest it still cant rival many restaurants in cities with a significant Chinese population, but its probably your best bet in Mobile if you want to try some real Chinese dishes at a reasonable price. The owner is also very nice.

There is something I have noticed over the years: China Doll doesnt change. The menu, the atmosphere, the wait staff, and the recipes are all the same as they were 5 or even 10+ years ago. As a result, China Doll has basically turned into Chinese comfort food....decent enough to keep the faithful and the luncheon buffet goers happy.

The food was EXTREMELY cold and no labels displaying what you was eating. Food is old and KEEP food out too long before replacing fresh food. The server packing the food trays smelled fowl and touching the food with her fingers AS SHE WAS REFILLING TRAYS. And, what ever you do, dont use the bathroom.....NASTY

Everytime we come here the food is fantastic. The environment is friendly and clean and the staff are all exemplary. They also seem to know their regulars. Weve never had a complaint or bad word to say about our experiences here. The food also seems very authentic, like true Chinese food.

I went to China Doll on today for the 1st time in about 3 years(moved out of state). A waste of money! It was just mediocre, nothing more. And definitely not worth the $11.30 that it costs.....and this was with water to drink. Will not go back.....ever!

This is, hands down, the best Chinese place in Mobile. The menu features a lot of the generic dishes, but the quality is phenomenally better than the usual hole in the wall place. Everything there is worth the price.

Great place to get authentic Chinese food! Friendly staff. Always fresh! The only place in Mobile to get real Chinese food that has not been Americanized to the point of not having any flavor. Great prices!

Its okay, not a big selection but not to bad. Be careful with button down shirts or dresses. They have right angled glass tables that can rip your clothing. Food is okay when you can get to the buffet "on it".

Great selection on the buffet, a higher quality product than other places in the area..we dined today, Sunday, and enjoyed the snow crab legs. The atmosphere is nice and the service is pleasant.

Great lunch buffet! They stay busy so food is always hot and fresh. I just wish they had a dinner buffet. At night it is only table service and menus.. no buffet.
