Worst experience ever!! So last night my girlfriend and I went to Fridays after getting out or work late. We went in and sat at the bar where we waited 10 or so minutes before being approached by 1 of the 2 bartenders. When putting in our drink order we put in our meals right away, 2 steaks cooked medium with Mac and cheese and mash potatoes as her side and seasoned fries and mash potatoes as mine. Roughly 30 minutes pass by when the second bartender passes by and states how he saw everyone else getting their food before us even those who came after we did. He then proceeded to tell us how the kitchen was backed up but assured us it would be coming out momentarily. Mind you it wasnt busy, at all. Another 15 minutes pass by before the food comes out. When it does the steaks come out medium-well almost completely well, our sides were Luke warm the mac and cheese looked like theyd been sitting there all day, the "seasoned" fries were soggy and plain not even an attempt to season it. So we spoke to the manager who assured us theyd recook us new steaks and get us some mozzarella sticks in the mean time assuring us shed have the kitchen rush the order to fix the mistake. They came out 10 minutes later , and the mozzarella sticks were hot but the cheese wasnt melted at all, but we decided not to say something to the manager. Then 15 minutes later the manager approaches us to tell us that again the kitchen was taking long to make the steak and theyd be out shortly, after telling us shed rush the order. So 15 minutes later the steaks come out and we cut into them and theyre bleeding. So we waited this long for the steaks to come out wrong again we wanted medium not medium rare almost rare. Now my girlfriend and I come from restaurant backgrounds so we know it takes about 15 minutes to cook a steak medium, so it seems as if they messed up the steak a few times before bringing it to us and didnt do any quality check before sending it out. Clearly they need more trying in the back. But that wasnt the icing on the cake. No the icing on the cake came after we had paid for one steak (the manager comped one steak after seeing we took a few bites and asked for boxes to take the food home.) Once we completed our transaction we saw a roach walking around the bar table near our food. We werent sure if it came from our food or not but we were certain it came from the restaurant, and after killing it with the receipt paper and showing it to the manager we left without our food and will not be returning. I do want to say however, the first bartender was really good and the drinks he provided for us were delicious and we understand that the problems we had encountered, had nothing to do with him.

This is my go-to fridays. Which is also usually my go-to restaurant. Ive been coming here since high school. Ive definitely experienced a slew of problems here, such as long waits, poor service, and even once incident of food poisoning..but they are very far and few between. 50% of the time Ill get a friendly server, fast service, good food, and a clean atmosphere. Its stood the test of time over the course of my life. I guess the big issue is that it can be hit or miss--but I think thats more depending on how busy it is, and what kind of server you get. However, Ive also had trouble spending gift cards here--none of the servers seem to know how to use them! And dont get me started on asking them to "split the check". I always get charged the full amount and end up having to call corporate. I used a gift card once and they ended up using up the whole thing when I was led to believe only 15$ would be used. I called their customer service line and I was LAUGHED at, before being told I would be sent a bonus bites gift card(never got it) Positives: Good food and atmosphere, you can USUALLY have a good time. Negatives: The servers usually dont know what the hell theyre doing and it can end up costing you.

Alright. Where do I begin. I am big big big on customer relations. I like to be out at a restaurant and have a good time with my friends sure, but you know what makes it even better? When your waitress is able to join in the fun. For my birthday me and my best friend went to Fridays in Westbury. I had the great pleasure of meeting the waitress Shana for the first time. She was absolutely fantastic. Funny, great company and even though it was a busy day managed to absolutely keep up with our orders and never went missing. Never had to wonder where my waitress went cause she always checked up on us. Ive had just a great experience I promise I come back there just for her. Ive literally called ahead multiple times asking if she was working. Tonight again I was there and again had a great time, even brought more people in just because of the great service I was able to get because of her. Honestly one of the most sincere and outgoing person Ive ever met. Great super duper fantastic waitress I raccomended her to my friends and I will again here. When you go to Fridays ask for Shana!!!

wanted to write to you because this is the second negative experience I have had at your establishment. 2 years ago I had a horrible experience but I made the mistake of giving Fridays another chance. Let me explain my experience, walk in to an empty restaurant and was told I had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table, it took the waitress another 20 minutes to come to the table at which time we asked for water that never came. We eventually got the attention of a girl wiping down tables and asked her for water . We did finally get water 25 minutes later. Our waitress finally came with a horrible attitude, the plates from the appetizers were never cleared and our main dish was served leaving very little room on the table. The waitress never smiled the few times we did see her which wasnt very often. I work in a profession that requires my staff to uphold values of providing excellent customer service. It seems that Fridays does not uphold these same values, and it is not getting any better with time.

The kitchen service was great, the appetizers were on time (one after the other, almost as if the fast order cook read my mind) . The food arived at the right temperature, the food was awesom. The THREE stars would have been FIVE if it werent for the bar tender " 435 Clinton" talking smack and gossiping as if he were a WASH WOMAN at the river washing rags, I dont want to here about problems within the staff of TGIF or how he wants to move to the West Coast because he was born to travel( We all know the real reason, its obvious he is a Stool Pusher) And, whats up with his character, he flips switches like lights at a the Poladium in the 80s..... Hes a Rave chick one moment and the next he is a Black gurl from Roosevelt, then he flips it and VOILA he is Italian from Levittown. This guy has to go, he talks about how much more he makes than the night crew, to customers!!!! BAD FOR BUSINESS. Other than that, the drinks were on point. Thanks 435 CLINTON, You gave me TRUTH SERUM.
