Finalmente is more than a great local restaurant. Weve tried many of the local Italian restaurants in Westport over the past twenty years, and by far Finalmente has offered the best value, Excellent food, warm and crisp service, a good but not overpriced wine list, finely prepared dishes drawing on seasonal foods. The atmosphere is upscale, as are the food prices, but its a relaxed place that makes it possible to really enjoy a meal - much moreso than that more well-known little place across the Saugatuck. You can get fancier Italian food, but if youre looking for the "real deal" thats prepared with attention to detail, well worth a try - or three.

A great little restaurant. I see other reviews mention the owner Andre, because he epitomizes the feel of the restaurant. I’ve been there a few times and the food has been consistently top notch. I always like the idea of supporting local business and the reward for that here is a fresh tasting meal that does not feel like it is coming off the assembly line. We should all start supporting our local community by going to places like FT. I had the Halibut which was truly excellent and my wife said the Ossobuco was her favorite. This is one of those quaint spots you dont want to miss.

The pastas are fantastic, great flavor and texture. Ingredients are fresh. Fried calamari was average. Spinach salad was good. Tiramisu was average. Wait staff was hit and miss. The waiter that took our order never came back and didnt bother to tell us he was leaving for the night. But the person that took over for him was very attentive.
