First off let me start by saying the food was moderately OK. Not bad and not good! When I arrived with my two friends we had to wait to be seated and also wait extra five minutes just for server to greet us. Water took way too long to get. The food came out in a timely fashion. But....... Once the server gave us our food she DID NOT come back to check on us to see if we needed anything. We was finished we our food and wanted take out boxes for the rest that we didnt eat. She didnt even get us our boxes. We had to go to the bar (where the other server and waiter was doing shots) to get our boxes. Needless to say we DID NOT leave a tip. And I ALWAYS tip because I used to be a server myself and know how busy it can get. But this day 7/8/2016 it was not busy by any means. We will not be going back and if anyone asks us we will NOT RECOMMEND going there at all. I would point them to Texas Roadhouse or Dino bbq before I send them there! This was bad bad bad service. I cant believe that the owner allows their staff to worry more about drinking then taking care of there guest. Such a same because this was our first time at the place. Never again #Limplizard

I ate at the bar in the Liverpool location the food was pretty good but the service was awful. The bartender was fouled mouth and down right rude! She practically ignored me and was giving free drinks to her boyfriend and his buddies! She was putting her big sloppy chest All over the bar! My wife was with me and we were appalled! The service was so bad I will not be returning to that location ever! The girl tending bar was named Beth or Bethany I think and she was a big girl with blondish hair! Its a shame that cant get classy bartenders like across the street @ the retreat and not low class slobs with are shameless! I will never return

The food at the limp lizard is awesome. The beef brisket is always tender. The chicken philly is awesome. The owners are fantastic and take pride in their meals and customers. Some of the best ribs ive ever had in my entire life! cooked to perfection. Anyone whos in town should defiantly come and try their amazing apps. the prices are always good. 100 times better then dinosoar. The staff is outstanding...no problems whats so ever! I have a big family and usually when we go out we end up with somebody getting the wrong food or it was not cooked the way they liked. But at the lizard they no how to get the job done!

worst BBQ I have ever ate!! Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. The pulled pork was extremely watery and wrapped in tin foil with a puddle of water under it. The coleslaw was in a little ketchup to go container, not nearly enough for my sandwich. Pulled Pork had very little BBQ sauce only on top off pork nothing threw out and not enough to mix in. I ordered a side of Greens that tasted like they were thrown onto the plate straight out of a can NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL. As far as my boyfriend he purchased the Beef Brisket and mac and cheese that has less flavor then kraft.

I was never a huge fan of the Limp Lizard. The food is rather bland and the smoked foods are often dry. We gave them another few tries after the remodel and noticed that the portions seem smaller. Well we tried to give them another try yesterday. Walked in and the music was blaring. There was no hostess and we were ignored. Finally the surly gal behind the bar asked if we were with the "game dinner" well no, I did not plan on playing games, just eat lunch. Well I was told that we were not welcome there and had to leave. The nerve. Plenty of other places to eat.

Tried this place twice and was disappointed both times. BBQ ribs and burgers have no taste of anything resembling a grill, bbq, coil, wood or char. Really tasted like the rib came out a plastic bag .Burger was granular and dry. Salad had a unwashed taste and dry. even after a beers I still felt unsatisfied with my dinner. All in all no good for me. Waitress was very nice thought. Besides the food being unsatisfactory for me the place looks really good and had me expecting something much grander.

If you enjoy BBQ, avoid this place like the plague. The Brisket I got had to have been boiled as it was gray, slimy with no char and water was oozing out of it on my plate. Really a bummer as the service here is top notch and the decor plus location are outstanding.

SYR has another BBQ place downtown that most herald as great. Nope! Limp Lizard takes the title. Just had pulled pork, ribs, chicken, jalapeño cornbread....And it was all amazing. Great flavor and very moist. My new BBQ spot is here. Glad I found it nearby!

If you told this Carolina boy that hed find some good barbecue in New York he wouldve called you a liar. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was a great place to chill after hours on the road, even if the location is off the beaten path.

on Taco Tuesdays with unreal good BBQ tacos this is a 5/5 star place. but generally the BBQ isnt top notch and its still obviously a converted fast food joint. Will be a 4 (maybe star BBQ joint with the next renovation.)

Nice relaxing Fathers Day lunch. We were not rushed, food was plentiful, hot and perfectly seasoned. I had the featured salad, redneck nachos were amazing and the sampler platter was outstanding. Best BBQ

Was remarkable before the renovations in early 2016. Wait staff excellent, unbelievable food and beer options. Can be a little hard to hear during live music, but overall cant be beat in Syracuse

Favorite BBQ joint in NY! Very friendly and attentive wait/bar staff. Nice screened-in patio to eat on in the warm weather. Newly remodeled inside. Frequently hosts live music.

Better than Dinosaur. The Western Lights location is inside of an old Wendys, so cool looking. Amazing everything.
