Dont come here. 1.Food The food was meh. Brisket was dry, ribs were actually tasty but had too much sauce. Pulled pork was ok, nothing special. The sides I tried (potato salad and collard greens) were very sour (the greens had too much vinegar. 2. Service The service here is terrible. After being seated, we waited about 10 mins. for someone to serve us. I ordered soda, and they brought out a cup of ice and a can of cola, which was fine, but the can wasnt even chilled, it was room temp. Overall, the service was very slow. The waiter never came around to ask us if we needed refills or anything. They actually forgot to bring out our ribs until I caught their attention minutes later. We were also given an assortment of BBQ sauces in bottles, one of which did not have its lid screwed on tight enough, and spilled all over the person in our party who used it. Of course, the staff never stopped to help us clean up the mess. 3.The restaurant itself The music they played was incredibly loud, so much so that we couldnt hold normal conversations without practically yelling. The restaurant was too hot, and I was covered in sweat by the end of the meal. The bathrooms were also dirty. TLDR; Meh food, terrible service, awful atmosphere. Definitely will not come back.

Im gonna be honest...5 yrs ago this place wouldve gotten 5 stars i was there at least once every weekend...i havent been back in about 2 yrs because alot of things changed...first the plating and atmosphere...it used to serve your food in prototypical plastic baskets with wax paper (awesomeness keepin it simple and back country esque) now it served on elegant plates and silverware seemed that they geared that toward the more upscale "yuppie" and younger "hipster" clowns, the menu changed, used to be able to get pork belly served up seperately by the lb, not anymore, only on a sandwich, the prices have increased from $18 for brisket to $21 (prices have gone up yes, but not by $3 per lb in 3 yrs) plus the quality has also gone down as well which doesnt warrant the price increase, it seems they started gearing up this place for the 2 above mentioned crowds instead of people who love barbecue and a little slice of back country home which it originally seemed intended. Update** went back this past weekend after my 2 1/2 year hiatus...and just as i suspected nothings changed, but the food has seemed to have stayed average to below average....so i see a bunch of people giving them 4 and 5 stars and have to think....yall dont get around much do you?

I have been here before and even ordered Thanksgiving Dinner from here last year. Heard they are under new management. Larger portions but different taste. I always get beans, these were the best beans by far I have had any where this time. Fries were fat cut potato and brisket sandwich had so much meat. Cornbread was not like the one I had from Thanksgiving, need to have that particular cornbread as a special. Will try biscuits again whilst under new management and see how they taste. That turkey was wonderful Best turkey I ever had, moist and very tasty. And I have had plenty of Thanksgiving turkey only thing was close was turkey breast I made. So back to dinner, server Andre was was nice and answered questions. SMELLED like BBQ smoke and deliciousness up in there this time. Not like before. BTW bathroom needs paper towel dispenser.

My wife and I popped in around 4 PM on Satuday, October 16th. The restaurant had a few tables going outside, and four or five tables of diners inside. I ordered the PST, and it was awesome! Two long toasted rolls, filled with a slice of pork belly, cole slaw, and pickeld green tomato. It was the perfect blend of smoked bacon meaty flavor, cooled by light touches of the cole slaw and tomatoe, and wrapped in a freshly baked, freshly toased bun. Five stars!! Collard Greens and grilled red cabbage were delightful, too. My wife got the chopped brisket sandwich, a round roll stuffed FULL with delicious pork. Her side, German Potato Salad and homemade cole slaw, were tops, too. I am not sure what happened to ChiChi below. I would recommend Percy Streen in a heartbeat! (Next time, we will leave room for desert!)

I dont know what I was thinking when I went in here, because I HATE BBQ. I honestly thought "Im so hungry, this place has always looked cool, Im sure I can just get a burger." Then I was seated looking at a menu and felt like it was too late to back out. The good news is that everyone was super friendly and the entree, BBQ chicken, was pretty damn tasty. Sadly my sides were dramatically bland, especially the German potato salad which tasted more like cold potato flavorless lumps. It gets four stars for atmosphere, decor, friendly staff and a surprisingly good chicken BBQ. Ive never been back because, again, as a general rule I dont like BBQ. But if YOU do, you should check it out!

Takeout. Pulled pork and mac n cheese. Host was overwhelmed by $20 bill and change, to make my return even bills with no coins. She gave me an oddball about back... not worth walking back to get my 75c. Pork- $9 for about two servings worth, plus pickles and onions packed on top. Plus sauces. Good, tender, barely room temp. Still tasty. Mac n cheese- $6 for FEWER than 10 fork fulls. Packed into container, filling only half the space, looking like the remnants of the last batch, as if they forgot to complete the order. Good, but only memorable for a $3 serving- not $6. Overpriced like most South Street places. Still looking for somewhere worth its prices.

Excellent and attentive wait staff. Food came quick and was delicious. There were multiple tasty bbq sauces to choose from. I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious and juicy when I ate it with bbq sauce, pickles, and onions. The potato salad side and the pulled pork sandwich were also delicious. None of the food was dry which is sometimes a problem with bbq. They also had a large selection of beers and the waiter was helpful in explaining the food and beer menus. Pricing was reasonable at about 50$ including tip for two people with drinks. Atmosphere was nice with upbeat music and a southern tinge.

I had the PST sandwich which cost $12.00 and got two whimpy pieces of pork (much of it fat!) along with too much slaw in the sandwich. The slaw was actually pretty good but the sandwich needs to have a balanced meat-to-slaw ratio, and needs to be bigger. The potato salad is really just warm potatoes, and the tomato salad is nothing interesting. My friends all got sandwiches and all agreed that the portion is not worth the money. If you go, dont waste your time ordering a sandwich. Youre better off going to Daves--save money and time!
