Ive passed by this place numerous times over the past few years when traveling along Princess Anne Rd. This place is located in front of the Woodtide Shopping Center on Princess Anne Rd. When you come inside, the place is pretty basic looking for a restaurant, which is fitting for this type of restaurant. We were seated immediately when we came in. Our server came over immediately, welcomed us, and asked us for our drink orders. Since we had just sat down, we wanted to look over what was available first. A few minutes later, our server came back and we were ready for the drink order, as well as what we would have for dinner. When she did come back, she also brought a basket with napkins and wipes. For dinner, I decided to go with the pulled pork dinner, which includes garlic bread and two sides. For the sides, I chose the fries and their BBQ baked beans. After about 8-10 minutes, the food came out, which is a reasonable amount of time. The pulled pork was good. They have multiple sauces you can use to put on it. One is a sweet sauce; one with the yellow is a mustard based sauce, and the one in red is hot sauce (dont get that confused with ketchup). The fries were good, along with the baked beans. One thing that caught my attention was that the amount of pulled pork was a small portion compared to the price. Ive had pulled pork at other places with much more on the plate for less cost than it was here. After the meal, our server asked if we wanted to have dessert. We ended up getting the coconut cream pie. Others that have been here have said the pie was to die for. After trying it out. that was definitely the case. The coconut cream pie was the highlight of the visit. In the end, everything turned out well here. There wasnt anything that would lead me to give a rating above three stars. However, had the portion size of the pulled pork been larger, I would have likely gone up to the four star rating due to the amazing coconut cream pie. Since this was based on my first time here, Id likely give this place a chance again in the future.

We came out based on the pictures of the food and man they dont do the place justice. Ive lived all over and had some amazing bbq, i telling you Rib city has the science of a great dish down pat. Good smoke on the beef, and chicken. The ribs were not sopping wet, but moist over a great caramelized bbq glaze so you could sauce it yourself based on preference. Great experience over all with our server too. I want to say her name was Martha, she checked on us, made sure we were good and anticipated our needs as a larger group with children... but not so much that it was intrusive to out meal, everything was just right. Give the place a shot, you wont be disappointed. (Coconut pie was great too, get it to go for your morning coffee!)

My husband and I went there last week. It was our first time, we just happened to see it as we were driving home. Our server was so personable. I will be returning. The food was excellent, the specials were outstanding. To be honest, I dont even eat ribs. But I tried them, and ordered an extra slab to go. The sauces were excellent, and so many to chose from. Kathy was the best! I cant wait to see her again. They close at 9, we arrived at 8:30. Normally I wont eat at any place that is about to close, so I was definitely skeptical. I am so glad we stopped. It was worth the late night adventure. Be sure to try the baked beans, and the garlic bread. Yum!

This place needs no stars! The server was so rude.......we went to the restaurant for brunch. No one in my party was rude or disrespectful to the staff, however; due to the large party the server did not appreciate some of the party sitting down at tables that had not been cleared. I guess she felt rushed or overwhelmed. In my opinion it did not warrant her getting in my sisters face and become indignant. My sister said nothing and was in disbelief of what had happened. I refused to stay and we all left. They didnt want my money and i didnt want to give it to them.

Finger licking good and a great deal for your money!! We got the rack of ribs and whole chicken combo which comes with a pint of beans, a pint of coleslaw and a bottle of their bbq sauce but we didnt even need the sauce. The ribs are amazingly smoky and falling off the bone and the chicken is so yummy! I used the leftover chicken for sandwiches the next day and ummm ummm good! Its doesnt happen often that we get a meal and enjoy EVERYTHING we paid for. Needles to say, we will definitely be getting food there again.

Was googling rib places and saw that this place has some of the best reviews. Clean restaurant, great service, and friendly staff. Ashley B. was awesome. Very prompt. Loved that the cheese fries were waffle fries. They are my favorite. Plenty of cheese and bacon. The homemade spicy ranch was delicious. We both had the ribs and my husband also got the sliced pork. Everything was delicious. Will definitely come back. Cole slaw and green beans were excellent also.

This place is amazing! I almost hesitate to write a great review b/c for my sake, I dont want it to be full of people when we go...thus making our service a little slower. However, because the food is outstanding & the service has been terrific every time weve gone, Ive got to let you know that you will definitely not regret going here! The ribs--get the ribs! And the spicy ranch salad dressing? Just yummy...especially for dipping french fries! :-)

It smells absolutely great in the entrance way but the food is another story all together unless you like bland food. Aside from the ribs that had little taste ALL the other meats required the house sauces to have any taste whatsoever. The sides are portioned rather small especially the sweet potato fries that were rather soggy. With all that being said the staff was very friendly and attentive while the establishment was very well maintained.

Weve gone here more times than Id like to admit (waitresses comment on how big the kids are getting). Great place for kids. Relaxed atmosphere and free under 4 year old meals. Ribs are consistently tasty. I love the pork sandwich and sloppy city sandwich. I consider myself a bit of a baked beans snob and theirs are great (bits of rib meat in them). Affordable and great taste. Nice atmosphere for relaxing meal.

Ive been to three total barbecue joints in southeastern VA and Rib City has been my favorite. The menu options offer a variety so you can get a little bit of everything. The ribs are my favorite as they were tender and their"homemade" sauces are delicious. Pull pork is great, but Im not impressed with their chicken... It was a bit too dry for my liking. Best spot thus far.

Friendly wait staff, delicious ribs, fast service! Ordered the rack and a half of ribs with baked beans and sliced tomatoes, within maybe 15 minutes the food arrived piping hot! Megan described the sauces and came to the table several times to check and see if we needed anything (very polite young lady). Definitely worth every penny and will return! Good job everyone.
