After reading some of the reviews I figured Id take the plunge and try out Snap Burger. Ive had the original Sothern California style burger joint before called In-N-Out and this place had for sure hands down tried to replicate the successful chain that the Californians enjoy. My experience was not so good, I was with and out of town friend on business and we were talking about how this was similar to In-N-Out. The manager, blonde younger women immediate over heard our conversation and made a comment under her breathe, 1st turn off. Second the menu is almost exactly the same as In-N-Out, the difference is the quality of the food. Watching people get their orders I was almost ready to walk out, I dont mind paying a preimium for good looking food but this was a little of a mess. Ill give you a break since the owner replied to many posts saying they are working out the kinks, but that is a small kink compared to what I will say next. Reading a review from E. Johnson and others, then reading the owners or who ever controls the review board, I was a little taken back by the snappy non professional response. You say you are comparing apples to oranges but really you are coping the apple and turning into a radish, the community in the Rochester area has some local favorites like Bill Grays, Ta hos, and so on. We also have some big chains like 5 guys so you should of seen the portion size and options they have and balanced from that. You said fresh never frozen, thats been the trend for years now and its great but nothing new, Wendys made that clear years ago. I appreciate seeing this new burger chain a step up from White Castle when we compair the size of the burger patty. At least they charge .89 proportioned to what they are serving. The "Pure Cane Soda" option really wont do it for you guys since the basic cola was bland and not really balanced for the messy burger I was served. I really hope you guys take the advice the community gives you bad or good to change The best for you. I dont wanna see another empty building in this area, and it looks like you spent a good amount of money on the building as it is. Thats great you use upper NY ingredients and support regional farmers. I really hope the In-N-Out franchise doesnt catch on to you guys because I know they are brutal when it comes to coping and or replicating how they do things. Good luck Snap Team.

This place opened yesterday, 6/16. Parking lot: I drove by last night at 1am and there were a decent amount of cars there. I came today around 3pm and there were a decent amount of cars there but two customers. Odd seeing that many cars, almost like they had all their friends and family park there to make it busy. Interior: Sort of plain, has kiosks to order or regular cashiers. Was clean. Did not check the restrooms. Menu: Very basic Five Guys style. 3 combos, either double cheeseburger, cheeseburger, or hamburger. All come with fries and a drink. A la carte you can get those, a grilled cheese, or milkshakes. You can upgrade your fries to basically be loaded fries. Service: I didnt feel rushed but the cashier didnt really explain anything until I asked him. I dont remember if they told me my order number but it was hard to find on the receipt. They call out by order number. Food: basically a McDonalds double cheeseburger size is Snaps double cheeseburger size. Two patties, lettuce, tomato, and snap sauce which was like a Mcdonalds BigMac sauce. Fries were soggy and almost inedible. Burger wasnt anything near Five Guys quality (and there are better burgers out there than Five Guys) and I couldnt distinguish it being anything special even though they claim its fresh never frozen, etc. Overall: A bit disappointed since I thought it would be something that I looked forward to going to. It might be ran by Russians which would explain the 5 star reviews on Google, Yelp, etc that looked Russian. I wish a gas station was built here instead. This area gets enough traffic that it could be built up a little. Or I wish that Rochester would get an In-N-Out or Fuddruckers. 2 stars out of 5. I will try again maybe one more time. If I didnt live up the street I wouldnt bother again.

I had the privilege to attend the soft opening, and I have to admit Ive been back about four/five times since then and each experience was only better and better. It seems I simply cant get enough of the double burger with the chocolate shake. Im confused about the mixed reviews because this place is a gem for Rochester. This is a brand new establishment only opened for about a week thus far so they will be working out the kinks day-by-day, as all new places do. If youve tried it once and something wasnt to your liking, I say give it another shot! The staff is very nice and friendly, attentive, helpful and informative. While eating my meal I overheard one of the employees walking around from table to table asking how they enjoyed their meals and if there is anything they can improve on. I loved to hear this, because this only reveals they stride to do better. The building is clean and modern, but has a few old-school touches. The menu is clean cut and simple. The burgers are just bomb. I love everything from the sautéed onions to the special sauce, the fresh patty, and the toasted bun. I highly recommend the double or even the triple burger, and the chocolate milkshake is pretty much a must. They do not use frozen food/ingredients and you can truly taste the difference in your meal. The indoor seating is spacious with outdoor seating avaliable as well. The drive-thru is designed with the customer in mind with a screen you can directly see right into the kitchen, instead of speaking into a black speaker - very well thought out. The bathrooms are clean with modern finishes. Family friendly, and the late night hours are great. The prices are cheap, affordable for everyone. This is the best $3-4 burger you will find. Highly recommend!

Went during their opening week so I expect that kinks will be worked out and everything, and I didnt mind waiting an extra minute or two in the drive through. Lets chat about the food though. This place is trying to do one thing and I think a lot of people are missing the point here entirely: they are replicating the In N Out style burger and fries, down to the animal style fries and the "secret menu" grilled cheese. This place is not trying to be 5 Guys, its not trying to be the Gate House, theyre trying to make a west-coast In N Out burger. So how does it compare? Pretty well, actually. The burger tasted like an In N Out Double Double. The fries left something to be desired so I hope they get that sorted out, but the burger was a good representation of what it was trying to be. So if youve been to the West Coast and have In N Out memories, this place can take you back for a minute or two.

Went to Snap burger, first off I was privaliged to experience In-N-Out when I live in SoCal and in Texas. Snapburger is a spin off of that place. First off the set up and menu items are a direct rip off of that. The way its made as well, I can appreciate a good burger even if its copied but this place stinks. The special sauce is watery, needs to be thinker and less greasy The fries are exactly like In-N-Out but over salted and some are mushy and thicker. The burger is a disappointment all around, you should prob change this if you want to survive. The quality of the meat was fair and the size Matters ladies and gentalman. Over all my 2 star rating is for how clean the place is and the friendly staff. Good Luck snap you wont get another dollar out of me or my Friends and Family, we were really looking forward to this place being our new home town fav..
