I found this gem near my hotel while looking for a restaurant with simple, decent food, perhaps like home cooking. Bingo! The appearance of the place from the outside is bright & clean, same goes for the inside. The menu was varied with a list of 4 or 5 specials such as corned beef & cabbage(!), goulash, broiled scrod. The split pea soup my corned beef dinner came with was very good. I only wish I hadnt eaten any because the cb&c was served on a small platter & could have made a large meal for 2. It was a little shy on the salt, but theres some of that on the table. No way I could finish it, but I still unfortunately ate too much to be able to sample one of their many desserts. Being from CA, I was amazed & pleased to find a wonderful boiled dinner for $8.95!! Not to mention, Christine the waitress is the platonic ideal of a diner waitress: energetic, friendly and funny, very helpful and concerned that her customers are happy. No one seemed to be complaining with the level of service from the other servers, either. If business ever brings me back near here, I know where Im having dinner.

This homey, old time diner has great service and great prices. Breakfast this morning was two eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, coffee, and a small OJ, which set me back about seven bucks. Service was prompt, the food cooked perfectly, and my coffee cup never empty. Nothing fancy here, but it doesnt pretend to be, either. For what it is, I give it five stars. Edit: Was so impressed yesterday that I went back today for lunch and ordered the lasagna special. Very tasty, but the portion size was miniscule. It came with a fairly bland tossed salad (iceberg lettuce, onion, tomato, and cucumber) but they dont have ranch dressing(?!?) or sweet tea. Might have been okay if it had also included a roll or garlic bread, but I left hungry. Two stars for this meal, for an average of 3.5, rounded up to four. Ill still go back, but think Ill skip the lasagna special in the future.

Wasnt as great as all the reviews, but not as bad as many other places. It is home cooked and you do get a good portion. Its not all that easy getting in or out, but there is truck parking. The meat loaf was surprisingly very good. The Italian dressing was nothing more than red wine vinegar, I love vinegar but that was just too sour and there was way too much on it. The broiled chicken was juicy upon first cutting into it, but dried out immediately. The custard was very good. For our first time the impression all and all was ok, but definitely not great. We may give it another try some time.

This was a Wonderful place to stop and get a quick bite to eat. The service was GREAT and the food was AWESOME. There is a wide selection of food items on the menu,and Great desserts too. Theres also a kids menu with a great selection of items. If you are in the area,and are looking for a quick bite to eat,then you must stop in here and try this place out. Believe me you will be very Pleased with this Diner,and will want to come back. I know I will Definitely be coming back to this place next time Im in the neighborhood. Thanks for the Great service with a Smile and the AWESOME food.

I order grill chicken with smash potatoes and corn. The chicken has no flavor what so ever it didnt even had pepper and salt. The corn was old and didnt taste like corn to be honest. The mash potatoes tasted like it just came out of the box. Overall I paid over $12 bucks for a dinner I was not able to eat. Im more than dissapointed as a truck driver you dont have the choose to go back and complain so I decide to let you all know so you can make a better choice than mine and dont lose your money.

Only had the bacon egg and cheese here. I ordered 2 of them. All of the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches around the area where I work suck.. I hadnt tried this place before so I thought Id give it a try. This place is very popular with truckers, figured BEC would be popular there. BECs there are pretty darn good, nothing too special but earned the title of best in Town of Newburgh from me!

Love the diner atmosphere. Oldies music playing. Beef barley soup was great. Hot corned beef sandwich was good, although it was a little bland. The french fries were perfect. A lot of food for the price. Coffee was good. The "sweet" tea tasted instant, so be aware of that before you order it, especially if youre from the south!

Best food around for the buck,as long as you can handle the dated worn out appearance and dirty windows,and dated bathrooms . .kitchen is clean ,staff is friendly and food is brought out quickly. All food is fresh and dressings ,desserts home made.prices are lower than average. One of the few diners still open 24/7.

Just dont go there. I had shrimp with onion rings and Fries. The shrimp were no good the onion rings where so hard you could break your tooth on them the french fries were fine. Pete had the spaghetti the sauce was watered down and the noodles very were overcooked. They didnt even have ranch or sweet tea!

Very Slow Service, Luke Warm Soup. The elderly Waitress was nice, no smile but nice. Guess smile outta new Yonkers is a rare commodity. Average Food. First time here around 950 pm on a Wednesday Night. Hope it gets better. If you have another option for dining, TAKE IT.

NOT real good quality food my burger was not real beef,,the fries were good but my mash n gravy were both watery and soda 2 different ones were flat my beer was just kind of cold,,service was good,place is clean,dont think ill return.

Great place to eat at when traveling. Its conveniently located near the highway and airport. Always a great stop when I travel between the east coast and the south. I highly recommend this place, especially during breakfast.

Wonderful food, good service, down to earth people. And they serve beer! Seriously though, you can get anything at this diner, their menu is huge! They even had vegetarian option in lieu of the meat options. Outstanding!

Took to long to get the food. When food arrived it taste old. Steak was over done,not how I ordered it. The waitress was very nice and kinda funny. Luckily I dont come through here often so this was the first and last.

This place was filthy. The windows, the table, the silverware - dirty. The food was okay but definitely not the greatest. The atmosphere felt like I stepped into a run down town in a movie. Will never go back.

Wow this place is beyond great, i didnt think so till i started earing the food, the waitress was very friendly, clean older style diner, loved it, and it has truck parking, im coming here again for sure

Very nice and friendly staff but their food leaves a lot to be desired, they water down there ketchup and the ham they serve has water added.. And the portions for the price are on the small side.
