Yesterday was my FIRST and LAST visit to Golden Corral. While I recognize this "restaurant" is buffet style, the quality of the "cuisine" was really awful & made me so sick that I could not get home fast enough to vomit/move my bowels. The only compliment I can offer regarding the food is that I enjoyed the biscuits and salad. The Freehold location was 1) beyond crowded and unorganized; 2) the tables were "thisclose" together that while dining -- and I use that term loosely -- my family and I you felt as if we were eating with the guests at the tables immediately adjacent to ours as we were on top of each other; 3) the layout is beyond horrible which leads to diners competing with each to get to the food at the same time and bumping in to each other; 4) trays were replenished at a slow pace; 5) the plates and the silverware were not clean so I used anti-bacteria wipes to clean them for all my family; 6) the rugs were filthy; and 7) the word cleanliness did not apply to the restrooms, which were not only filthy, but smelled. Also, there were way to many unattended children running around and playing at the buffet which made my entire party very cautious as we were afraid wed spill hot food on them. Our waitress was VERY RESPONSIVE and cleared away plates very timely and also replenished our drinks as needed. She was duly rewarded with a great tip. I only wish I remembered her name so I could give her a public shout out. The management at this location needs to significantly up its game and "corporate" should do an unexpected visit to experience what my family and I did. For the amount of money we spent, we could have gone to a diner and had a much better meal and more satisfying experience. Next time we will!

by far the worst experience I have ever had at this restaurant. I usually travel to egg harbor township to the other location but I figured going here closer to home would make more sense. yeah taking a short cut was a big mistake. I had a party of 14 people and I called this restaurant about an hour before I got there. I walk into the place and the manager says to me " so I expect youd like me to find you a place to eat".... am I missing something or is this completely rude ? anyway I got over not being able to sit with my family but I turn around and I see a table with like 15 people sitting at it and I look in the dining room and theres even more bigger tables..we wouldnt have minded waiting a little while longer to sit together but am I missing something again or should they may be have saved a table for a party of 14 people or maybe communicated between the staff a little so we could have sat together. Then I go to get a steak and a rib and got an attitude from the men serving. NOT A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT AT ALL. then a few of us goes to use the bathroom between the womens and mens bathrooms and they are FOUL. There was no toilet paper in 3 of the stalls... I understand this place is busy but theres no reason for it to be run the way it is. Its a busy business and as far as I am concerned this location is going to RUIN THE NAME. The presentation was beyond embarrassing especially because I am pregnant and felt sick to even think about eating half of the stuff out there. i had a salad and my ranch tasted SOUR. I Will definitely be getting in contact with someone of importance about this restaurant because between the food and the staff I am absolutely REPULSED.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Bad service, I thought it was because the waitresses were racists (they only serve white people properly), but now that Ive read the other reviews, MAYBE it was just laziness. Nobody came to collect our plates, we had to go up to them and hand them the dishes. They didnt even take it! So we just put it on another table and let them clean it up. Our glasses were never refilled, we had to go back to the front and refill our own drinks. The food wasnt even good! Most of the food were either salty, or they spilled pepper on it. I was telling my friends that Golden Corral is a good buffet place because I ate in one in another state, but we just wasted out money in this particular GC. Fewer food selection, half of the food trays were empty, and nobody was filling it back up! I wonder what the cooks were doing in the kitchen because we can HEAR them cooking, but no food was coming out. Chocolate fountain wasnt working, and there wasnt even any sprinkles for ice cream! Only desserts were 2 kinds of cake, 2 kinds of cookies, plain vanilla ice cream, a "new york style" cheesecake, rice krispies, and pudding. VERY nice selection. Seriously. Its like the theyre expecting only kids to eat dessert. Whatever. I would give this place 0 stars if I can, but no luck. Will NEVER go in this establishment again.

If you like standing in line like your waiting for the greatest roller-coaster just to get a an item in a buffet line then this place is for you. No joke, my wife stood in a non-moving line for at least 15 minutes before she opted to just eat salad. The real joke is on the paying customers who are most likely hungry since they came to an all you can eat buffet.Most of the items trays were empty so assessing the food was very hard since it was nearly impossible to put any on the plate to bring back to the table and try to enjoy. Very Poorly run, nobody that was working cared.... at all. The stations were poorly placed, everyone was standing in line blocking all the food as they all waiting for 1 cook to make little meat(steaks) Im guess because i never got close enough to see what the commotion was about... maybe they were giving out $100 bills, thats the only thing that would make sense. Anyway, never again. Left feeling sick, robbed and hungry. The best part about Golden Corral was watching it get smaller and smaller in my rear view mirror as I drove away from that dump.

granddaughter asked me to bring her there tomorrow.. Kinda hesitant... The reviews of it being dirty and all..I will DEFINATILY post my experience when I return home from there.. Wish me luck!! OK...heres the lowdown on my experience..Arrived at 1;00 in the afternoon... 30.00$ for the 2 of us. Saturday..sat near salad bar also near bathroom..funky smell..food was fine..except restaurant in general was so understaffed that they couldnt keep up the stations.Someone came out ONCE to make some steaks but only once .by 1;45 the place was packed and staff couldnt be found.probably in the back doing prep and DEFINATILY not doing any kind of cleaning of stations at all..anybody who came after me had no chance of getting a steak for sure. My choice was potroast..good..I can see how a teenager and the kids would like it there though... A lot of food for them to pick from..chocolate fountain mess with only fruit being pineapple from a can..disappointing. Thats about it..thought 30.00 for the 2 of us a bit pricy but granddaughter liked it.
