Honestly if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Called ahead for a friends birthday because he loves the beer here. I called a week in advance to find out what I had to do conseriding our party was a party of 11. The man I spoke to on the phone told me to call an hour ahead and let them know we were coming. So doing what I was told I called the day of and the woman who answered the phone with one of the worst attitudes ever let me know they were no longer taking early calls and that no one told me to call an hour ahead because they only take calls 20 minutes ahead. After actually getting here and explaining the problem the woman got us in within 15 minutes. After sitting down and ordering drinks it took 3 times and two different waiters/waitresses to everyone their drinks. It took about 45 minutes after ordering our food to get it and all of the steaks were cold and full of fat. Nothing was cooked to what we asked for and my personal order was ice cold. Not to mention one of the girls in my party got a plate of food spilled all over her new dress. The waiter of our table Jeremy was sweet and understanding and I feel bad because I know it wasnt his fault. Unfortunately after being here for close to 2 hours this is one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant and I can gaurentee you I will never come back.

This was the second year we visited this place after participating in the local triathlon. The building is very inviting and the hops growing on the outside dining area provides a nice touch. However, like every other bar in Lake George, the beer selection was a massive disappointment. For the second year in a row, they did not have on their "award winning IPA" on tap. Most importantly, the beer tasted watered down at best. The service was decent at least and, like others, I think the burgers is what kept this an "average" rating instead of something lower. The ultimate kicker: The sign in the bar that says "Voted Best Brewpub in Lake George." Its the only brew pub in Lake George. Im hoping for something else to come along and produce some decent beer. UPDATE: I figured to put my hand back on the burner for the third trip up to Lake George and, subsequently, Adirondack Pub and Brewery. What a shock that for a third year we were told about the great IPA but AGAIN they "were out of it." I asked for one of the other beers on the beer list and that was sold out as well. I went to a brew pub and got a water. How does that happen?

Contrary to some of the other reviews, my wife and I really enjoyed our beers and found the selection to be plentiful...what I did find disappointing was the service and the food...the portions were extremely disappointing, especially for the price...the eggplant fries (again, small portion) have balsamic vinegar sprinkled on them, which is completely unnecessary, and ruins the overall taste of the appetizer...the seafood chowder is pure flour--lacking that vital clam and seafood taste...I made the mistake of ordering the catfish and jambalaya dish, bad move on my part, in retrospect but I at least expected a decent meal...the dish was poorly seasoned, lacking that extra spice that you expect with a traditionally southern meal and they used Italian sweet sausage instead of chorizo in the jambalaya-----an absolute sin! The service was aloof, which seems to be the case with many, many Lake George establishments and rushed us through the meal. In short...this is a beer and burger place (maybe just the beer)

My family and I went there for dinner last night. We sat outside under their covered patio but the atmosphere couldnt make up for the overall experience. I hope the management reads these reviews. Here are a couple of suggestions that would earn you 5 stars... - Make sure the glass doesnt have lipstick on it from the previous user before serving it to a new one. - Chill the glasses, especially when serving to outside tables. My beer was warm by the time I finished half of it. - Dont use preformed frozen beef for your burgers. There is nothing more disappointing than seeing your burger come out as a prefect cylinder. If the look didnt give it away, the flavor and texture did. - Make sure the burger is cooked evenly. It mustve been on the outside edge of the grill because one side of my burger was rare. I live locally but Im not planning a trip back anytime soon.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to get a growled filled and figured I would get a beer sampler. I cant comment on the food, but the beer left alot to be desired. All the beers were thin and watery, lacking in flavor, body, and aroma. I had bobcat blonde, which, while being offered as a light session lager, was completely devoid of flavor. The beavertail brown ale was thin, light in color and again lacking the flavor of an american brown. The dirty blonde was alright but for some reason I do not understand they left that unfiltered while filtering the hefeweizen. The coffee stout tasted like an old stale cup of coffee. On the other hand the bear naked ale was a pretty decent and well balanced ale, but overall I was disappointed withe offerings.

I very much wanted to like this brewery, but cant say Id recommend it to anyone (and wont be back myself). For starters, if you want a sampler, youre forced to get one with the beers they choose for you; there is no option to choose your own sampler (like every other brewery there is). So be prepared to be stuck with beer you dont want and to pay about $6/pint (which isnt the worst price) for anything you really wanted to try. We each ordered a hamburger and they managed to mess up something as simple as a hamburger order. Not great food, not great service, and not great policies. There are so many great breweries and brew pubs nearby - give Battle Hill Brewing in Fort Ann a try - I had a 100% better experience there, both in food and beer.

We traveled from NC to Lake George for vacation with hopes of eating at a nice, good establishment, but unfortunately ate here instead. Extremely overrated for the outside appearance to expect the food to be worth anything. My husband ordered the prime rib which was unfit, I and my son ordered the ribs which were nothing but bones with barbeque sauce on them. Shameful. If it werent for the brewery to serve beer here, one would have to be totally drunk to be able to tolerate any of the food. John the manager was not at all receptive to our dissatisfaction in what they call food. And if he is the one who cooks, he needs to see Chef Gordon Ramsay for retraining.

Took the fam here last night on our vacation staying in Lake George village. Top marks and service from Jessica. Creative food, BEST beer batter onion rings of my life by a good measure (from using better beer not cheep watery light beers like most places). Had the beer sampler flight and liked several so much I bought them to take home (cucumber ale, bear naked, and tangerine lager). We also bought their root beer and made the kids root beer floats that night. Natural and flavorful (and thankfully no caffeine). We had the burgers and BBQ pork tacos with apple slaw. Absolutely mouth watering savory. Wish I had tried the eggplant fries. Next visit perhaps!
