Ive been a loyal customer for a while now. Me and my husband would go all the time, the staff knew us and we absolutely loved johny. He knew who we were and never had a problem. That is until .. Until this "tony" guy. Always with an attitude and was never friendly to us. No personality just a cranky man. Well this very last time my husband and I went to grab some food and a couple drinks and TONY happened to be the bartender. He was rude when we got there , very bad attitude.. Not friendly at all. Got our order and out of nowhere after we got our food started to was joke around about the food we got and actually Started to pretend he had a personality. Well after we were done we asked for some drinks and he said to us "youre not going to walk out on the bill this time are you" my husband and I both looked at each other like did he just say what we think he said!??!? So when he got the drinks we asked him again. He said we looked like the same people who walked out on the last check and that we even ordered the same food and everything. He argued with us and said "I never said it was you" well if he didnt think it was us why even say it?? "We felt so disrespected and uncomfortable because NEVER HAVE WE EVER walked out on any check. This man proceeded to act very weird to us, neglected our service and completely ignored us until he brought us the check early on purpose because he really thought we walked out on his "last check". He continued to whisper in the other bartender Sheryls ear (who ALSO began to act weird toward us)and talk about us because she kept looking back at us when he was talking. He then gave us the check right away and insisted we closed it out. Despite his horrible service and how bad he made us feel we for whatever reason we still tipped him $16 knowing he did not deserve it. So needless to say he made our whole experience miserable. We have never EVER walked out on any check anyyywhere. If he wasnt sure who it was that walked out on his check he should have never accused anybody. Let alone us who always make sure we leave a decent tip. I will never recommend anyone going to pickallie while this douchebag is working. Hes miserable in life and takes it out on everyone else.

Ive done St Pattys here twice in a row. This bar is quite deceiving since it is small and unassuming from the outside. The inside is charming and what you would expect out of a local haunt, resplendent with the usual neon signs and plenty of TVs to view the game of the day or reality TV. The food really stands apart from its exterior image with its wings being some of the best Ive ever had. The patrons have always been in good cheer and most of the staff are very friendly; however this is where this review sours. Last year we brought a rather large party to Atlantic city and took over a third of the bar. Getting drinks took a while but that was acceptable due to the number of people who were in attendance. When it came time to pay my tab, my bill was enormous because the bartender decided that it was easier to put everyones drinks on my tab since I was using a card and split it out at the end. Some people were on my tab that I didnt even know. This left me, a patron to go around and collect money. Despite the above occurring we decided to give it a try again this year. I decided that cash would be the method of payment this year in order to prevent the above from occurring. Right off the bat I got the same bartender from last year and she didnt want to take my order but tried to get me to pay my tab... I havent even started to drink yet. The tab was for someone that had left. Needless to say I didnt pay it but after her conferring with the other bartender she understood that I was a new patron. Getting drinks this year took forever despite not being as busy as last year. When a friend and I separately ordered drinks she used his money to pay for my order and essentially left us to figure it out. This is the same behavior as last year. We promptly finished our drinks and headed over to other bars. This is a shame because we really liked this bar and was always a great place that we looked forward to attending.

I was craving some wings and happened to find Pic a Lilli Pub while searching for food. I decided to go with them since they had a good review. Im not sure why they have such a high review but this place is average at best. Ordered 18 wings as take out with 3 different sauces. It was an order of spicy, hot honey, and honey bbq sauce. I dont think this Pub knows the concept of spicy and hot. The sauces seemed watered down with a sprinkle of salt for flavor. I didnt realize how bad it looked until I got back to the hotel room. I had a bad feeling about the place when I received my drinks. The bartender already told me that they dont sell bottled drinks. All drinks were fountain drinks. Fine! I ordered 2 drinks and the bartender gave me clear plastic cups with NO LIDS!!! Now folks...remember I ordered take out. What did they want me to do? Float the car back to the hotel or better yet...reappear in my room. At least they could have given me a more durable cup...like a K-solo cup. THESE CUPS WERE LITERALLY COMING APART AS I LEFT THE PUB!!! Anyway...the only good thing about this place is that the wings were not undercooked. Perhaps if this is the last place on Earth to serve wings, I could have better sauce to use.

UPDATE: This review was from my first visit. On the 2nd visit, the hot was almost sweet, and the smokers were hot, but nowhere near what I remembered. On my 3rd visit, I mentioned this to the bartender, and apparently it depends on the cook/server. So, if you want real heat, order the "smokers" and request they are extra hot. Theyll deliver. Also, order the "tails" instead of the wings. Tails are boneless chicken breast (not the processed nugget-types), and comparable in price. (End Update) Best. Wings. Ever. I can never find a combo of both good wings and sauce; either good (hot) sauce and fatty wings or good wings and bad sauce. I finally found my match. The bartender reminded me "hot means hot," and he meant it. I can handle all types of spicy food, and this sauce was the best. I cant quite remember the special name they give it, but it is perfect. Then, we tried the Smokers... for the first time ever, I was overcome by the heat. My friend and I finished 6 of these, and our mouths were on fire. Ive tasted plenty of hot sauces, and this is the first that left me speechless. A total A+!

Dave was an awesome bartender. One of the best! He was super friendly & happy. It was a great place to go to outside of the casinos & it was right off the boardwalk so we didnt have to walk through any sketchy neighborhoods. They are also open 24hrs & we met some awesome people in there. We had a great time & next time we are in A.C. we will definitely go back & see Dave & this time try something to eat. It was perfect for what we were looking for; a little dive bar with cheap drinks, good food and friendly people. Definitly a must go when you are in Atlantic City.
