So I never go out to eat looking for something to complain about but this restaurant truly upset me. We stoped in on our way home from new York and immediately the bartender approached us and told us theyre ready for us upstairs as in we were there for a party or reservation of some sort (which we didnt have) and was very unwelcoming. When I asked if we could just sit at the bar and watch football he was already halfway up the stairs telling us they have tv up there and it felt like he didnt want us to bother him at the bar. So we followed upstairs to a beautiful dining area and loved the feel of the place. Our server came and took our drink order, and brought our drinks, and then never saw her again. 10 min later I waved another server to let her know we were ready to order. It was obvious that she was stoned out of her mind. Her eyes were red, gazed over, and hardly kept open. (I dont care if you smoke weed, but seriously, try to not look that stoned while waiting tables if you already dont know what your doing). What is such a shame was that the food was wonderful! The best French dip Ive ever had, and cooked to perfection! However. No one ever came and check on us or refill our drinks. They werent busy (we were one of two tables) eo its upsetting that we werent even acknowledged. This place has potential but the staff was clearly untrained and rude. It was the worse service I ever had and If the servers were properly trained (or at least acted like they cared) Id say this place is great. But the horrible service ruined a nice dining experience for me.

Bruce Indoe, owner from 82-03 is back and better than ever! The sliced filet mignon sandwich and the old time favorite burger are featured along with some fabulous new items! The waitstaff is attentive to your every need. Sit back, relax and enjoy a wonderful lunch or dinner in a clean and friendly environment. Party needs? They have a featured party room upstairs that seats 55 people! I recommend giving them a try!

This place is awesome, easily the best place for dinner in Oakland. Reasonably priced for a family outing with exceptional food, service, and drinks. The beer menu alone is a reason to give this place a visit. The menu is easy to understand with mouth watering appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Ive never had a bad meal from this place, the kitchen is fantastic.

A far cry from health food, but hey, it is pretty nice, clean and tasty. Expect to get things like fried appetizers, burgers, bbq chicken sandwich, etc. So, after a long day walking and hiking the trails at the Ramapo Reservation, stop here and indulge a bit.

Now the Valley Stables. I was working up here and stopped for lunch. Met John the bartender, very nice guy. Looking forward to coming back after hours. Great food and even better service, highly recommend it.

Always a good experience. From Rileys greeting to Johns martini. Best burgers and specials. Staff are all wonderful, Andrew and Steve are always so friendly and accommodating. Great easy place.
