Hands down my favorite Indian restaurant. Ive come here twice, each time did not disappoint. I think people are hesitant to try Indian cuisine, but if youre a fan of curry and spices, you will love it! The restaurant is dimly lit, fitting for an Indian restaurant. The waiters are friendly and provide excellent service. The first time I came here, I got the lamb vindaloo, which is extremely spicy (I have a good tolerance for spicy food) so beware! It gets really overwhelming towards the end. The second time, I got the chicken tikka masala because everyone raved about it on Yelp, and it was sooooo good. Not too spicy, chicken was tender and really hit the spot! The garlic naan is a must; perfect for dipping in your curry. The samosas are also really good as an appetizer; comes with two per order! The calamari is not traditional calamari, its drenched in a sweet/sour sauce and the individual rings are really big! A platter of rice comes with the table and your entrees, and they will happily give you more if needed!

I would honestly give this place less than one star if it was possible. The customer service like so many other indian restaurants was non existent. They were extremely rude and the food was way below average. The reviews that list them as the best indian food ever are clearly not written by people who KNOW indian food. There are not many options in Bayside which is understandably much of the reason people are forced to eat here. The portion sizes were beyond ridiculous. The shrimp vindaloo had 4 shrimp in it. When we called the manager to inquire if there was some possibility we had the wrong order, we were told the $110 we spent on TAKEOUT was not enough to feed our family of 4. We should have bought more food. Upset I think not.... Over it. Waste your money at your own risk... Be prepared to be hungry after

Delicious food, charming vibe in a cozy dining room, extremely attentive and friendly staff. The food really is amazing. Be sure to get a side of bread to dip in the sauce. You can never go wrong with the "Garlic Naan" bread if you are unsure. My personal faves are the "Lamb Rogan Josh" and the "Chicken Tikka Masala" (sometimes I get lamb instead of chicken). I like it spicy but if you cant handle the heat, tell the server to dial it down and the chef will kindly accommodate. For starters, try the "Samosas". Even the rice is fantastic. When you get tired of the same old restaurants, (and there is a ton here in Bayside) give this place a go. You may be pleasantly surprised that it may become one of your favorites.

PERFECT!!!!!!! I go every week with my family of five. the staff is great. they treat us very kindly and they have even memorized the order that we order every time. Clean very very clean the bathrooms are very clean and have lots of space. Definitely the best restaurant we have been to. And we have been going for 5 and a half years and we moved into this neighborhood 6 years ago. This was a great introduction to bayside and so we go every week. And the price is UNFAIR the great food should cost BILLIONS!!!! But the price is fair for the serving sizes too. Plus, they have many vegan options for our vegan kids.

Stopped in for their business lunch special - $6.95-$7.95 Monday thru Saturday 12-3:30PM. All the lunches came with Basmati rice, dhal and onion relish. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and nan LOVED IT! My boyfriend ordered the lamb curry and cheese nan and was very satisfied with his order but they messed up on the nan - giving him garlic instead of cheese. My sister got the chicken curry and it was only okay in her opinion.

Shockingly good Indian food. This is a modern type of Indian restaurant so its a bit Americanized, but in a wonderful way. The prices are fair and the service is great, everyone is very nice and helpful. I absolutely love Indian food and I have been to many many Indian restaurants in the 5 boroughs and I cannot believe this place opened up les than a mile from my house and its one of the best.

A great little hidden spot in Bayside! Its right off of Bell Boulevard, before you get to the craziness of the main drag. The decor and atmosphere is calm and pleasant with beautiful tapestries everywhere. The food is delicious, I always get the veggies samosas, dahl, and chicken tikka and my boyfriend loves their kabobs. The prices are great too! I definitely recommend it.

Pathetic food...no salt or spice ... waste of money ... i am feeling so disappointed to have had such a worst food in my life time after paying so much.. .... opted for it since it is near Indian embassy NY..felt as if i was having food outside in the biting cold.. only two small heater... Not a restaurant for Indians who are used to have good food at home.

Got the Shajehan Dinner, which was really delicious and super filling. Assorted appetizers, chicken vindaloo (extra spicy), and mango malba were all amazing. My friends chicken tandoori was also great, but the chicken tikka masala was too sweet/coconut-y for my liking. Prices were slightly high, but I would still come back, especially for the lunch special.

We always get great service, which is why we eat there every month. The staff is polite. The waitress, Ara, is courteous, professional, and personable. The food is delicious. I would recommend the chicken curry, shaag paneer, chicken korma, and all the appetizers! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Parking can difficult to find at times.

I love this place and have been coming here over the past two years. Love the food, the staff, and the price point. Ara, one of the waitresses, is sweet, personable, and attentive which makes the experience enjoyable (along with the rest of the staff). If youre ever in the neighborhood and craving Indian food dont hesitate to stop by.

Great place for dates and larger groups. The food is authentic and delicious, as well as offering some spicier options and a large selection for reasonable prices. Plus the staff are very nice and helpful when youre a newer customer less accustomed to the menu. Would definitely recommend.

The restaurant is ok but its price is overpriced and when ordering the bill the account was $60 and the waiter asked me to get at least tbs $16 .. and the day before I went to dinner at the outback restaurant and my account was $78 and tbs was $13
