Dosas, sambhar, vadas are excellent. If youre looking for decor though.. this place is a typical daba style place in Queens. They were out of Upma and masala Vadas when I went on a Sunday afternoon, so go early!!! Even better then the fresh cocunut chutney, the pondacherry dosa, the aloo stuffed dosa, the madu dosa or the mango lassi is the Indian Style Coffee, which I havent really found in the US until now. Took me right back to Hyderabad and Delhi. The ladoos are also very nice, simple, and well made., (the ladoos ar enot drenched in oil like most other places) Ive had dosas at some other places in NYC, this is prolly the best so far.

We REALLY like this place. Good Cantonese style food and great service (for a Chinese restaurant)! If you cant read the fixed course menus because you cant read Chinese, youre not missing out on authenticity. Everything we had was good. Fried flounder with fins so crisp you could eat them. Garlic sautéed snow pea shoots were mostly leaves not stems. Roasted chicken with customary shrimp chips was tasty. Seafood with pan fried noodles was laden with the fruit of the sea. The beef we ordered was a little TOO tender (sadly I dont know what that dish was). We could continue on but truly, this place was just solid.

1 star less because the sambar wasnt good. Too bland and tasteless. Other than that, the masala dosas were perfectly crispy without being overdone or burnt and the vadas were just amazing with the coconut/green chili pepper chutney. Perfect amount of heat. The staff were very friendly, spoke to me in our regional Indian language which was really heartwarming. I took my American friend there, he loved it, so cant ask for a better compliment to our authentic south Indian cuisine lol!! Definitely worth going there again!!

Dosa hutt is a nice little South Indian vegetarian restaurant on the intersection of Bowne Street and Holly Ave, right next to the big Hindu temple. The food comes quickly, its all freshly prepared, mostly healthy and is incredibly cheap for New York City. Although probably not in the same league as a sarvanna bhavan, Dosa Hutt is hard to beat for its combination of quality food and low prices. For anyone that wants an authentic dosa experience without paying through the nose, this is a great place to start.

Dosa hutt at flushing is very good with smiling person who welcome all and he speaks almost 3 - 4 languages.good vegetarian restaruant near to temple.The person (owner) who is helpfull customer, as he arrange the taxi for us.They served food in simple foam plate but its is delicious.sambar is good and we have variety too choose and all the food are served hot. waiting time is less.recommened this hotel for all and we visit again sure.

No frills, authentic south Indian food, short wait time, next to Queens huge, gorgeous Hindu temple. Everyone is friendly and happy to help you out with questions about menu items you might not remember.

This place looks like a dive from the outside looking in. Surprisingly, the food and quality is excellent & Super cheap. I eat there quite often or take out. Portions are generous and people friendly. I cant say anything bad at all. Usually my reviews are bad. But not for this place.

Dosa Hutt is the best place in New York to get South Asian dosas, thin crispy crepes full of savory vegetable filling. Definitely, a place to visit after exploring the nearby Ganesh Temple, built by the Hindu Temple Society, the first Hindu temple in North America.

Pretty good food. Dont expect it to be like India street food. Its moderate spicy .. spice does not mean chilli. Spices means all the spice that they choose . Those are not exact Indian but its accordingly as per people here eat so its fine. Thts why its 4 star

LOVE this place. They have an amazing selection of fine vegetarian Indian food. The owner is very professional and friendly too. I usually come eat here with my girlfriend every week. I highly recommend the spinach and cheese Masala.

Not really sure what was in the green sauce that was served with the set dosa besides shredded coconut. It had an unique taste I didnt really like. The guy behind the counter was friendly.
