Nothing really separates this Popeyes from any other really. The chicken was hot and ready for me on Super Bowl gameday 2013. My friends were happy with my "bucket of chicken" contribution to the pot luck. The bucket travels well and the chicken didnt get too cold even 20-minutes later on a blisteringly cold February evening. I mean, decent fried chicken by a non-chain store isnt easy to come by in NYC. Correct me if im wrong but in NYC we get 2 choices - its either KFC or Popeyes really. I know there are a few random spots in Brooklyn but they dont do it for me really. Just a novelty. Its a toss up between Popeyes crisp skin and KFCs blend of 7 herbs and spices. Damn, im getting hungry now... The staff behind the glass window at the counter was having a good old time laughing and gossiping about something or other. I dunno, inhaling all that fried chicken vapor probably makes you high...and After that, its probably another good time to eat some Popeyes...

This is not fast food! On the many occasions I have patronized this location, there is always a long wait for your food. The cashier never says...we dont have what you want to order right now. No, he takes your order and then you wind up waiting 15 minutes only to get spicy chicken, when you specifcally asked for mild.

he Maple Pecan on Banana Cake blew my mind. One of the more, if not the most, delicious cupcakes Ive ever had. The frosting was excellent and the actual cupcake was just the right consistency and flavor strength.
