I went here and ordered a half chicken (white meat). The lady working seem distraught and had a hard time handling phone orders and taking care of the one person on line (me). She told me there would be an extra charge. I said "ok" seeing that theres a $0.60 charge for white meat. When it came time to charge me, the price was $8. I asked her why the price is so high, since the menu said $5.45 for half a chicken and the extra for white meat. She explained that she had to charge extra for EACH INDIVIDUAL PIECE OF CHICKEN. I thought this was absurd and have never been charged this when Ive come to support them before. I understand that they are trying to thrive as a business, however, you thrive by taking care of your customers. That might be in the form of putting extra care to the food and providing good customer service. Since they would rather try to nickel and dime their customers, this is the last time I will be supporting their business. I rather get a whole roast chicken from the supermarket for $5.

Im going to admit right away that I have only ordered take out from this place and I have never actually stayed in for food. The food I ordered out is excellent quality. Very good and my family loves it. We always order the whole chicken with sides. The only reason that I do not give this restaurant five stars is the last order I put in with GrubHub came out incorrect. On GrubHub they have a turkey burger on the menu but soon after I placed that order they called me and told me the turkey burger is not on the menu. It too a while for GrubHub to refund my money and I was troubled by the inconvenience. Other than that the delivery time was excellent and I will more than likely order from them in the future again.

I work around the area and I frequent American Chicken. I love their Empanadas as well as their grilled chicken. Their cheese empanadas and chicken empanadas are to die for! Im a sucker for them with the amazing green sauce! I like their 1/2 chicken grilled platter too. I usually get the roasted potatoes and greek salad as my sides. Its easily my favorite dinner meal and it is ready very fast, which is a huge plus with my busy time frame. The staff is always nice and sometimes they play Frank Sinatra at night, which gives me a smile. Overall the atmosphere, food, and staff are impeccable and this is a place you should try it out! The empanadas are worth the travel!
