Im not much of a vegetarian but I wanted to try grilled cactus; I never had cactus. I ordered the Vegetarian Quesadilla. The cactus was surprisingly good. I was rather busy today, so I was happy that the meal was served so fast. And the service was great, fast and curteous. Overall, this was another great meal. I cant wait to come back and try something different.

My Family Lineage
I Ordered the Mar Y Tierra (English for Land and Sea). This is grilled rib-eye steak and grilled shrimp. What a combination! Ive had this at other Mexican restaurants but it never seemed to have that special Mexican Restaurant flavor. I dont know their recipe but this was the best. Get it at San Juan Mexican Restaurant in Whiteville, NC.

If you dont mind a post meal episode of flatulence and diarrhea order the ground beef taco salad. It comes in a tortilla bowl. When you mix up the ground beef and salad it transforms into soup. They do not drain the fat and grease from the ground beef. Three bites was enough to make me sick.

This is by far the BEST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to! The service was great and our food was out before we knew it. When they brought our food out we all said "wow" because it was so much food, so fast! I would definitely come back! Was greatly impressed!
