Gritty on the outside and dark on the inside, 4th Ave Pub may be a little off the beaten path but is oh so chill and fun. Inside sweet beer smells seep from the picnic style tables. Its dark cool and laid back. Free popcorn compliment their vast beer selection and you can even bring your doggie to their outdoor patio. What makes 4th Ave Pub even more awesome, write your tag, website or name on the chalk board in the bathroom. Youll get a kick out of the things drunk BK dwellers write.

Place is real chill and laid back, your perfect dive bar! BYOFood, there is a Pizza place on the corner, you can literally grab food and walk in with your food and find a place to seat, order some of the best beer I have had in town, and enjoy. The Bar tenders are quite knowledgeable about music and of course beers, so if you dont know what to get, ask for advice. And well, tip well too. 4th is a Yay! in my Book!

I beyond love this place. Free popcorn, awesome beer selections and an awesome backyard with picnic tables. How can you go wrong? The bartenders are super cool and the service is great. In addition to a huge huge draft list they also have tons of bottles, TVs, a full bar and im pretty sure you can bring your own food in. Chill atmosphere and the lack of hipsters makes this place one of my favorites.

On of the best happy hours in the entire city: $2 off everything from 4-8, Monday-Friday. The prices are reasonable to start with. Beer selection would satisfy any beer snob, and the bartenders are top notch. Inside theres a relaxed vibe, just wish they would get rid of the two TVs, and theres a pretty big outdoor space. Oh, and free popcorn!

If you live anywhere near this bar and you dont go to it all the time, you are crazy. In the summer, the patio is the perfect place to spend an evening with friends, and in the winter, the bar itself is just the right kind of cozy. The beer list is wonderful, the crowd is always low-key and fun, and then, of course, theres the free popcorn.

Pros: good variety of draft Belgians, west coast, east coast, and local beers; frequent rotations; hand pumps and hard-to-find specialty beers; a breezy, green patio in the back for spring. Free popcorn. Cons: can get busy, but the bartender is usually up for it. Handily beats the PS and Williamsburg competition.

Prices are very fair for the craft beers. Instead of serving everything in a pint glass and upping the prices, they serve beers in appropriate glassware and price it accordingly. This is also useful if you dont pay attention to alcohol content, as many of those micros are hella strong. Highly recommended.

Wonderful neighborhood bar. It has some great options on tap. Amazing selection that cant be beat. The bartenders are always ready to help and answer questions that you have (and with such choices, you may have a question or two). Its laid back and welcoming. A good place to catch up with some friends.

Very cool hang out spot. We found both stages and were impressed with beer selection. I didnt believe the reviews about the guy selling food out of crock pots on a folding table but he was there. It was too cold and rainy out to enjoy the patio but this was a cool place.

Absolutely terrible service! I was there last night after the Nets game and the bartender was a complete a-hole. Who treats paying customers like this? I am hoping not all the bartenders are like this, but if they are, I definitely wont be going to this place.

I was here a week after it opened almost 5 years ago, and Ive been coming back regularly since. The perfect place if you love craft beer but would rather hang with a non-beer geek crowd. Ralph is the best bartender in Brooklyn... And theres POPCORN!

This is just the kind of unpretentious, relaxed bar I love. Good selection of beers for those who drink them, and solid mixed drinks. The bartenders are super-nice, theres a large backyard with picnic tables, and free popcorn. Would happily go back.

Really good bar. Free popcorn and a great depth of beers. Pretty dark inside and generally busy, but has a wonderful back patio for the summer. I knock one star off because I prefer the vibe at some other area bars more, but this is a good spot.

Possibly the greatest bar in park slope. More beers on tap than you can shake a fist at (not that youd be sober enough to anyway)... Prices are fantastic, and they keep the place a comfortable Brooklyn dive setting.
