I have been going to this Kotobuki for over ten years. After relocating I decided to meet an old friend there last Thursday. After what was a usually delicious meal we split our check. I noticed in the next two days that I was charged twice for the meal. When I called I had one of the worst most unprofessional conversations that I have had in my life with the assistant manager there, King. Initially I spoke with a gentleman who asked me to call back to speak with the waitress who processed the card wrong so she could explain? I asked him to speak with the manager which was when I had the disheartening conversation. King made no effort to reimburse me the money or apologize. He asked for my other friends phone number so he could charge her her half. He stated that "the boss has the receipts and is unable to release them to reimburse my credit card". When I asked to speak with his boss he refused his name and let me know that I could drive back there for him to give me cash if I wanted but only after he spoke with my friend to ensure the other half of the bill was paid. The bill was $40. For $40 Kotobuki, who we all know does the business, handled this small error on their part the wrong way and now I assure you I will not be returning. Customer service goes a long way in the restaurant industry, King should take a lesson.

This was the third (and the last) time I tried ordering from this place. For the third time the experience left me feeling like they really dont give a s***. The first time, about a month ago, they hanged up on me. Ok, mistakes happen. I called again. Someone picked up. I heard a laughter, noize of the background crowd and then, click! Today, against my better judgement, I tried orderibg again. The background noise was disturbibg and the guy could not hear me. Instead of being gracious, he informed me that there was sonethibg wrobg with my phone. I think there is sonethibg wrong with my judgement, giving these losers another chance. No more! My feeling is that they grew a bit too arrogant thinking they can afford to lose cistoners. Well, this customer is never coming back. Shame!

Ive eaten sushi all over the world, and I have to say, Kotobuki continues to be at the top of the pack. Their sushi is always amazing, fresh, and they are constantly coming up with inventive new things to try in addition to my staple of favorites. The only downside is that if youre not there when the doors open for the dinner rush, there will be a wait, sometimes a long one. But the food here is totally worth it! Ive never had anything there that I didnt walk out raving about.

I called to place a take-out order at 5:15pm one night, I was told it would not be ready until 7pm. I arrived at 7pm to pick up my order and had to wait 30 minutes before I was even aloud to speak to a person as the manager was seating people and ignoring the take-out orders. Needless to say an hour later I was still there, waiting for my order. They had accidentally put someone elses name on my order and were very unapologetic and impatient with me.

I had heard great things about Kotobuki but wasnt thrilled with our meal. The appetizers were very saucy and really masked the taste of the fish and the rolls just tasted bleh, not great but not bad. Most of the tastes blended together and you couldnt really define what you were eating except for the spicy tuna, which tasted so much like sirachi that you couldnt taste the shrimp tempura it was with. All in all just ok

Saying that this is great sushi for long island does this place an injustice. This is great sushi, period. Imaginative, super fresh and delicious! The fried chicken and the hot pots are also worth trying. In fact, I would not hesitate to try anything on the menu. Deserves all the hype it gets.

Yes, it does live up to the hype. I was skeptical going in, but the fish here is certainly some of the most fresh and great tasting Ive had. With tables practically on top of tables the atmosphere is very uncomfortable as this small space is often packed.

I never liked oysters, after that amazing experience of Fried oysters in some sort of buttery sauce. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. it was so good. The only thing is that its really small and you have to get there early if dont want to wait in a super long line

Our favorite sushi place for over 15 years. Especially the Babylon location. Try the sauteed oysters and salmon avocado salad. We are always treated well and the price is fair for the great quality of the food.

Hard to find better fresh sashimi and sushi, and lunch specials are a good value. Year after year, week in and week out, consistently great taste and responsive service.

The fish was still alive when they served it to me but I looked passed that and the fish was actually very good, even though it was flapping around most of the time.

Food is great. The atmosphere is also nice. Difficult to bring young ones as the wait may be long to sit down but I have enjoyed the take out as an option.

Wonderful sushi. The salmon carpaccio that comes with the sushi/sashimi dinner might be the best thing Ive ever tasted.

Food was better than in Hauppauge. Way too cramped, I felt that I couldve shared wasabi with the guy in the next table.
