This review is in two parts - first the food. Pizza was okay. Not as good as the average NY pizzeria (I spent 18 years in NY), but good enough for a town in New Mexico. The sauce was bland and there wasnt enough of it on the Pizza to balance the other flavors. Toppings were nothing special and the crust was bland, needed more salt. What lost this place the other two stars is included below. Zeffiros, is apparently anti-military. Now some folks might consider that great and support the place, but I figured I should let out of town folks (like myself) know. I asked about a military discount, which I didnt expect but asked about and would have been perfectly fine had the clerk simply said no. Instead the clerk said, "No way, that stuff aint cool." Now I dont think I have a right to a discount anywhere I go, thats for a business proprietor to decide. I do believe that I deserve not to be judged regarding my choice to serve my country. I had hungry kids to feed (who I hadnt seen for a month) or I would have taken my business elsewhere.

This place is truly amazing, my only regret is that they opened in Las Cruces a few months before I moved away, I still miss their pizza. We have a Pie Town here in Charlotte, it isnt as good as the pizza at Zeffiro. The owner is a master baker who makes his dough from scratch, it takes 24 hours before the dough is ready. The first time I went there, they were out of dough, and I knew I was coming back. Seems that they make as much as they think they will need, and when they are out, they are out. This world is full of people who take too many shortcuts, not here. They also have a great oven, and they cook the pizza at 850F for about 90 seconds. This is the real deal. Next time I am within 75 miles of this place, Im making the trip. It is that good.

The food and staff here are incredible! Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. He knows the menu very well and helped us decide what best to order. We werent sure about dessert but he made it sound so delicious we could not pass it up. We took it to go and he still took the time to dress it with syrup and really added a personal touch to everything. We are coming here an hour away as much as we can!

I was told that this place had the best pizza ever and was that ever right! The restaurant is also a bakery and it really shows in the pizza dough. It is so soft and has the most incredible taste. The rest of the pizza was amazing as well. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was nice and quaint. If I ever find myself back in New Mexico, I will definitely be back!

The only thing I miss about Las Cruces is this pizza. The quality of the ingredients and how they prepare it in their brick oven is amazing. I never thought that the best pizzas I would every have would be in a tiny town in the desert. Get the red base pizza with pepperoni, onions and mushrooms. And dont fill up on the bread, olive oil and garlic, youll regret it.

Nice atmosphere, wonderful staff and excellent food. Great prices and did I mention the wonderful food? Only nitpick was that they didnt have any desserts at the time I went, course thats kinda my fault for going a hour before closing time. All the more reason for me to go back to them. Would recommend them to everyone.

Nice place, the pizza is good, sandwiches are great, wonderful bread selection. My only knock is they can be a little slow during the lunch rush, Ive had a few occasions where Ive burned an entire lunch break on a simple sit down meal. But dont let that turn you away, its a great place to eat.

Forget that the bread and pasta and handmade on imported italian equipent, that its baken in a wood fired oven, that the service is excellent...our bill after a 13" pie, wine, pasta bowl with chicken and cheesecake was $31. Believe the hype, its better than Johns of Bleecker Street in NYC.

Unbelievably great, not to mention, quick dinner!!! Caprese, Wood fired grilled chicken salad, pepperoni & green chili pizza, finished with cheesecake.....$35. To top it off, our server earned himself a 30% tip. It was our first time here, but guaranteed to not be our last.

Best wood fire Pizza joint around (poplar location) The pasta Zeffiro is a delectable homemade original. It comes with a dollop of green chile thats not for the faint of heart so diner beware. The pizza is amazing and is a must have every time we visit L.C.

Our favorite restaurant in Las Cruces! Love the atmosphere here... best pizza in town, always speedy and friendly service, amazing house-made bread to eat while you wait, and always great beer specials. This is where locals go for pizza... wonderful place!

I love the home baked crusty bread served with garlic & olive oil, like Italian restaurants back East. All Ive eaten here is good, especially the salads and my go to lemon asparagus pizza! I hardly ever order anything else. Delicious! You must try!

As a native New Yorker, I can state with authority that this is an excellent pizzaria and certainly the best in Las Cruces (now my home). Often the pizzas in the western states are oversauced, but the pizzas I have eaten at Zeffiro were just right.

Ive never had a bad meal here. Sometimes a little bit of a wait, but its so worth it for the fresh baked breads, pasta dishes and especially their brick oven pizza. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in town.

Consistently good. Id definitely say to go for a pizza, salad, or calzone (their pasta isnt phenomenal). Their desserts are absolutely decadent. One of the only places I would actually recommend in Las Cruces.

Joyce and I discovered this wonderful pizza (white sauce, diced chicken, artichoke hearts, and thin slices of lemon on hand tossed crust) several years ago. We try to have it every now and then. Yummy

Great wood fire pizzas and delicious made from scratch pastas. The wood fire chicken salad is a must if youre looking for a lighter route. No kids menus but you can order a plain cheese pizza.

The pizza here is amazing I was told about this place almost 8 years ago and I make it a point to make the trip from El Paso to eat here every once in awhile. I highly recommend it

Great little Italian style bistro. They serve bread at the beginning of every meal, alongside fresh garlic. The atmosphere is great, and the food is great as well.

Not authentic but a great try. Crust is the real deal but the ingredients are just not up to standards. Oven wasnt legit either, and only got up to 750 degrees.

The pizza is very good. They also bake artisan bread but Ive never had any. Not that many tables so you could be in for a wait if you go during a busy time.
