Recently went here to celebrate a friends birthday. I made reservations for 6:30. We arrived a few mins before our reservation. They asked if we wanted to seat inside or outside, my guest choice inside. Our host decided for us that it would be better in the patio and escorted us to the fartherest table. My guest and i waiting for about 10 mins for bread and water but no menus. Another 10 or so past and still no help. None of the servers acknowledge our table let alone us as people. My friend is a heavily tattooed women and I am a dark skin multi culture man and unfortunately they did a great job of reminding us that discrimination still exist. I did talk to the manager on duty, all she said was sorry and asked if they could have a redo. I let the birthday girl decide, she choice to leave. Saddens me to have this experience but I guess servicing their demographic is more important then servicing people.

I enjoy Vivace restaurant very much, however, my most recent experience there today was extremely disappointing. I was having dinner with a friend there and a made in China sticker was found in his soup! Second the tables were extremely dirty underneath the tablecloth. It is my believe that Vivace does not wash their tables in between customers but instead just puts a new tablecloth. The table is also made of cheap plastic, and the wood on floor is fake. The floor was also extremely dirty and staff took a while to clean it. The waiter was inattentive and after hr service us our food did not bother to check-up on us during the meal. I do not mean to be picky but I would just expect the atmosphere to be of a higher class considering that the restaurant is classified as "fine Italian dining"

I went here to celebrate my girlfriend completing her masters degree with a professor, and it was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, the drinks were perpetually topped up, and our table was never forgotten. The food arrived faster than Id expected, and quickly become the topic of conversation. My favorite part would have to be the espresso gelato dessert, with the antipasti a close second. I would definitely go again, but the price puts it solidly in the "once in a long while" category for those on a students budget. Note that the estimated price I gave includes drinks, desserts, and entrees.

After moving into a superb venue with a fantastic city view, this top Italian restaurant managed to win the trifecta with its impressive food from Daniel Scordato and consistent service. The congenial staff has the ability to make the customer feel right at home while eating the most intense and flavorful Italian food not dragged down by a dismal sauce. I cant get the rich taste of their steamed spinach out of my head and the contrasting flavors of the antipasto has made he so happy on several occasions. The mechanics of excellence are working overtime here. No wonder its on everybodys top ten list.

Service was very good, prompt, regular and friendly though our waitress attire was more fitting for a kitchen cook. The menu had many enticing dishes, we had the escargot and artichoke appetizer, I had the snapper special and my date had a chicken pasta dish...generous portion size, tastey, well cooked, hot. Bottled water and bread were promptly served. Lighting, temperature, noise level were perfect. Prices are high but given the experience will definitely return for special ocassions.

I loved the restaurant, but at the end of the night ( my wedding night) they started throwing in extra charges. 150 dollars per server when my contact said the65 dollar a plate included gratuity. Then they offered to decorate 3 tables and said oh dont worry. Then at the end of the night the lady tried telling me it took the lady 5 hours to decorate of her own time and if we wanted to pay her. Other then those sneaky money things, everything else was perfect.

I know this is sort-of cliche saying...but coming from NYC I feel as though I have a pretty good grasp on italian food. I have to say that for the most part Ive been disappointed in italian restaurants since being in AZ but Vivace seems to have given me more faith in the italians in this area. Every dish I have ordered was PERFECT. Service was great and the waiter gave excellent wine recommendations. Keep up the great work!

Poor service with disappointing food. Vivace is attempting to be a fine dining establishment but falls far below where a restaurant in this price range should be at. Service at most chain restaurants is miles above what you receive here. Food served cold, reheated entrees, and waiters who belong at fast food establishments. They did make a perfect gin and tonic, otherwise this review would be one star.

Vivaces is our first choice for fine dining in Tucson. The ambiance itself prepares you for a fine dining experience. The food is excellent and well worth the price. The waiting staff is first rate and as knowledgeable as youd expect in a restaurant like this. We always bring our out of town guests here to impress them and they are not disappointed. We feel welcome here like family.

If you only have one night in Tucson, go here and ask your server what to have. Wait staff are all pros and will guide you every step of the way. Some of favs include any fish special, seafood soup, osso bucco, and do not miss the cheese soufflé; it is perfect every time! Good values on the wine list if you look closely and the chocolate soufflé for desert is always a great idea!

Vivace in Tuscon is by far the best Italian Food Restaurant I have been to. I had the Fettucini Alfredo and it was to die for. It was amazing. Healthy portions and the chicken and pasta melt in your mouth. The sauce was light and tasty. I was in heaven. The ambiance is great, the service was excellent but seriously, the food is why I would go there again.

Loved every minute here! We were well taken care of. The manager himself seated us outside on the lovely patio. We had escargot, walnut and pear salad, chicken risotto, and seafood soup. They gave us a free tiramisu since it was our 11th anniversary celebration, but since I was going all out, I ordered fondue also. It was all perfect and delicious.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant and come often. I always get the ceased salad to start and then the salmon linguini its amazing. my husband gets something different everytime and is never disappointed. The hostess half the time are sweet and the other half of the time arent the nicest people but every server weve ever had provides great service!

Fabulous food, service, and atmosphere. I usually enjoy more casual fare and prices but for a special night out this place is a winner and I cant wait to head back again! The pasta was the freshest Ive ever had. Everything was PERFECT. The staff was great about holding flowers as a surprise for my birthday until we arrived. Worth every penny.

The food is always good but the service is terrible. We had friends who went there last Friday and I told them about our experience and how bad the service was. They had the same experience good food bad service. Also a friend of ours told us unless you are a regular the service is always bad. NOt a great way to run a restaurant!!!!
