I have never had the misfortune of having such a bad restaurant experience that I felt the need to write review before. After attending the new Provo Temple open house with my daughter and husband we decided to take her to the Old Spaghetti Factory to complete our wonderful experience with a delicious meal from a restaurant that we have loved in other cities. We were seated quickly because they werent very busy. We were given menus but then proceeded to sit there for 15 minutes without having anyone stop by our table to check on us or bring us water, much less take our order. 20 minutes after we were seated, we left and no one even noticed or acknowledged that 3 people dressed very nicely in church attire just stood up and left their restaurant. We drove across the parking lot to Carrabbas, also an Italian restaurant, where again we were seated quickly, but this time we were treated wonderfully. The food at Carrabbas was delicious and the service and friendliness were excellent and we will definitely eat here again. As far as the Old Spaghetti Factory in Orem, we will never attempt to dine there again, but we will take our daughter to the beautiful location in Taylorsville, Utah so she can see what the experience of dining at The Old Spaghetti Factory should be.

I have loved this place since I was a kid. The food is always delicious and hot, the bread and salads are amazing and the spumoni ice cream is excellent. The reason I have given this location 3 stars is due to the staff. It seems like they dont care. We walked in and had a party of 5 adults and a baby. There was no one in the waiting room and clearly, many empty tables. I told the host we had 5 and would need a high chair as well, he told me, "With a party that size, its going to be about a 20 minute wait." 20 minutes for 5 people in an empty restaurant? We just went with it and waited but we could hear the same host talking about how he got tan with some girl at the local pool. Then we got seated and our waiter, though nice, was unaccommodating towards my pregnant wife who didnt want a full size portion, just a small one. So he asked for a kids meal, he said no because he cant serve a kids meal to someone over 12, so we asked for a smaller portion and he said no, we had to get the full sized portion and just get a to go box. Overall the food is great and its the reason I come back. The staff just dont seem to care and arent the friendliest.

When we entered the Old Spaghetti Factory on Saturday evening at 5:00pm, we had no idea that we should have expected an experience far beyond superior. Firstly, everything inside was in pristine condition -- it didnt look old at all. Secondly, it wasnt even a factory (but we kind of knew that), it was indeed a restaurant. Thirdly, the staff was exceptional. Our waiter was friendly and brought us our food out very quickly. I ordered two giant balls of meat, gently seasoned and atop soft, moist noodles. My mouth filled with delight upon experiencing such expertise noodle crafting. And those balls were most definitely handled with utmost gentleness as I could taste the caress on my buds. If anyone is considering a visit to this New Spaghetti Restaurant, expect pasta from the Gods.

I love the Old Spaghetti Factory, by far my first preference for a comfortable sit down in the area. Although the SLC location is my preference, the Orem location still fits the romantic scene I love about SLC. The food is phenomenal, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of resturant. Ive loved every dish Ive had although my two favorites are the spinich tortellini or the Mizithra cheese and browned butter. The Italian sodas are always delicious too and come with a souvenir glass to take home. My husband loves ordering the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer to share when we go in a group. There does seem to be a lot of turn over in the staff, it is a college town so that is no surprise, but even with that, weve always recieved quality and humble service.

Had dinner here with the kids March 31st on our way back from vegas and the server was amazing. I told her we were from Canada and the menu was quite different and she seemed very interested in making sure our visit was a very memorable one. She even got my very shy son to come out of his shell. I feel bad for not remembering her name. I think it was jami???. The food was good. I think the minestrone soup is better in Utah than the one we frequent at west Edmonton mall. The Caesar salad wasnt great at all but the service was second to none. Highly recommended this place. And even though it was quite the detour to find. I think we will stop here for dinner again

Excellent service, fantastic food! My boyfriend and I chose the OSF for dinner for our senior prom. All of the staff was patient and kind. We waited for a little before taken to our booth. Our waitress kept our glasses full, and brought out our bread unbelievably fast. She was very patient with our slow-choosing and answered every question we had with a smile. Our soup was brought out quick and hot-- well before our meal. The entrees we ordered were delicious. I highly recommend the lasagna. All-in-all, it was a wonderful experience, and I cant wait to go again!

Great food but the price and service are not. Come to find out, the staff is trained to only bring out what you specifically ask for, even if it should come with your meal. I had two young kids in tow which kept me distracted from all the things we were missing. It wasnt terrible but it was not impressive by any means. The generosity with portions and other things like drinks and bread is sorely lacking. A side note, there is no phone number on the receipt and no place to leave a review except here. Not with the times....I will go to Carrabas next time.

Soo so bad. Lets start from the beginning: the salad; brown, old iceberg lettuce with way too much dressing. Entree? I ordered marinara sauce on spaghetti. The waiter said it was their signature dish. The noodles were overcooked and had a very worm-like texture, they were also very bland noodles, the marinara was bland and flavorless. I ate seriously 5 bites until I was gagging. Finish the meal off with free freezerburned ice cream and needless to say I had to have a bowl of cereal when I got home. EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I have never had such a horrible experience like this before. Our salads were brought out with old Caesar dressing and I almost puked on my first bite! Once the waiter took it away, he never asked us if we wanted another one! They wanted us to pay full price even though my whole family never received any salads. Also they never brought us bread! Then once we asked about it, they apologized and asked us if we still wanted it??? We definitely will never show up there again.

My wife and I went here for a mid-week date night. I got the spaghetti and mushroom sauce and my wife got the spinach and cheese ravioli in alfredo sauce. Both dishes were good as were the salads and ice cream. Our waitress was great. Being a Tuesday they werent busy at all and we were seated immediately at about 6pm or so. Id definitely recommend it. Weve been there during busy times (weekends at dinner time) and not enjoyed the experience as much.
