Bad, bad, bad. The whole experience was horrible. The waiter was so rude to us. We were four of us, 2 adults, 2 kids. First they showed us to sit on a table for 6, then asked us to move to a table for 4, as the waiter said that if a larger group walks in, he would need that table, which is understandable and was fine by us. Then there were not enough glasses or napkins on that table, which we had to ask for. Even though I was still eating out of the appetizer plate the waiter took it away, I had to ask him to put it back. The food was brought out, without the naans. What do we do with the curries without the breads? I moved the knives and forks off in the middle on another table, as my kid was touching it and the waiter told me to watch the glasses, which I told him to just take it away, to which he said, "Dont talk to me like that, this is not your house". We left without finishing our dinner. There was no manager in sight, and I am not going back there again. They might be the best eatery in Princeton or in the whole world, but they are not kid-friendly and very rude. Horrible service.

This place is below average, leave alone fine dining! I stopped by and ordered take out on Saturday night. I ordered their chicken curry, soup, jalapeño poppers, pakora and garlic naan. The only eatable thing there was the naan(bread). Everything else was much below average. You could taste cheap ingredients in all dishes. I ended up throwing away jalapeño poppers as they were no flavor huge fried jalapeños staffed with not tasty mashed potato. My husband loves jalapeño but even he refused to eat those. No flavor and tasted like they were prepped in the morning. Same thing with pakora which are fresh vegetables. Well I found potatoes and huge rounds of onions there- nothing else. Veggies tasted old and mushy again. We ate chicken curry, it was eatable but nothing to write home about. Very disappointed to pay this money for non fresh food made out of the cheapest ingredients. Shame on chef!

This is a niche place. The atmosphere is rather cozy; the dining room seems to be a renovated living room and based on the layout, it was a residential building at one time. The kitchen is in the basement. As for the food, I have only had the buffet, and it was nothing special. Actually a little bland, but that can be a good thing if you like your food extra mild. Overall i would say the food is "decent". Beware of going there when it is really hot outside. Last time I was there they had a single window air conditioner running, so if you were sitting in front of it, it would freeze you (and your food) out, but if you say anywhere else, it was too warm. Also parking can be a pain during lunch time.

Food is delicious!!!! I will I will highly recommend you swing by if you are in the area. We had chicken tikka, which were juicy and soft, just the way it is supposed to be, and had butter chicken and nan. I liked their butter chicken the most - it was much more tasty and not heavily creamed as most of the other Indian restaurants assume butter chicken gravy to be. I like my naan soft and the staff made sure that they came soft. Staff is extremely friendly and realize the importance of friendly professional service. Overall, I really liked the food, service and the decor was quite inviting and cozy as well. Job well done by the management and I will highly recommend it if you are in the area.

One of the worst food i have ever tasted and i love curry. The staff were friendly and the place nice enough but the food was simply terrible. The samosas were tasteless, the malai kofta tasteless and the chicken malabar tasteless again. The potato paratha was very oily and again tasteless. I have had a lot of indian food over the past few decades and this has to be singled out for the worst i have ever had. So, if you wish to try the worst ever indian food, this is the place to go. If not, i would certainly give it a BIG MISS!

When you see negative reviews about this place, please take heed! I LOVE Indian food..and have for many years. This was THEE worst! I saw the mixed reviews but remained optimistic. I should have driven right past this place. The hot food was cold. The cold food was hot. The textures, seasoning, and selection were OFF! The food did NOT taste good or even look appealing. The service was a little worse than mediocre. Overall it was a definite NEVER AGAIN!

i cannot understand the good reviews below.I also notice they are all more than a year old so all I can think is maybe things changed..I have never anywhere in the world eaten such badly made basmati rice, hard tandoori chicken and flavourless dhal. The only saving grace was the soft naan bread.Service is extremely bad. How are they surviving in a place like nj where you get excellent indian food???.....OMG....avoid.

Good Indian food. The decor is nice and inviting but its a very small restaurant. They dont have central AC so this place can get a bit hot since they use Window AC units. The papad they gave us was fried and it dried up because of the overhead fans blowing on the papad. The Naan we got was the habanero pepper naan and it was really good but really spicy! The shaak we got was Panner Tikka and it was tasty.

Two weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went to Mehek for dinner. Our experience was terrible. I opened up the menu and mint chutney was smeared all over it. The waiter watched my discomfort and never offered another menu. Drinks ordered never came but were on the bill. The food is not as good as the food available at other Indian places around, and its costlier. The service leaves a lot to be desired.

cold inside, cold food (samosas were reheated in microwave with hot and cold spots), no flavour, rubbery chicken, rude waiter, made us sick. I have eaten in hundreds of indian restaurants in Ireland, England, Canada, St Croix, USA, Suriname, etc. and this was the worst...even frozen supermarket indian dishes are better. <<< DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME >>>

We decided to try this place right in Princeton Downtown. Since we were 5-6 of us we ordered a variety of dishes. They call came out oily and bland and all tasted the same. The food gave at least two of us indigestion. Perhaps we went in late and we got the leftovers. To summarize its not worth your money. Try a different place

My whole family loves the cooking here, especially for take-out. Have come with Indian friends, they liked it, too. Remember to specify mild, medium or spicy. There are some outdoor tables. Indoors or outdoors, the dining areas could use a bit of TLC, but the food is tasty and the staff is nice.

While the food was top notch, the service was a joke. We were seated at two different tables, and we had to ask several times to receive our food. Also, our food arrived without plates, rice, or spoons. Our waiter had no clue what was going on. Maybe the take-out service is better...
