Omg! Worst restaurant in the city! All the reviews are completely CORRECT!!! I hated it there as a consumer and actually working there just confirmed my feelings! Fridays on City ave is only... i repeat ONLY for trashy/hood people (who dont care about clean/quality food!!!)!!! The store has ROACHES all over the kitchen! MICE! Absolulty disrespectfully DIRTY dishes (especially glassware!!!)! The managers are very unprofessional... PERVS! Who make jokes and laugh at all of the consumers when you THINK theyre on your side when you have a complint! The cooks are dirty! I was actaully a server at other restaurants and i can tell you now EVERY OTHER 1 was a million times cleaner Then Fridays! Fridays is actually the nastiest restaurant i have EVER seen! this store makes me really not want to eat out anymore just because of all the dirty things you dont know! And, if this store seems like the nastiest restaurant youve ever seen too just know this... ITS NOT IN YOUR MIND! Fridays on City ave ranked at the absolute bottom in the rankings of best and worst Fridays restaurants in the WHOLE ENTIRE COUNTRY (something they some tell employees)!!! THATS OUT OF 100S OF FRIDAYS RESTAURANTS!!! This 1 store fails its ECOsure evaluations every single time (thats like their L & I) & is only steps away from being closed down rite now! I had to quit because my conscious wouldnt let me keep feeding people food that was making me feel sick just to hold in my hands! And, they only pay you $2.83 per hour anyways... Its not that hard to leave!!! Everybody is rite... GO ACROSS THE STREEST OR EVEN FARTHER UP CITY AVE (Olive garden, Chilis etc.) for better (CLEANER!!!) food where the people ACTUALLY care about you!!! Just being HONEST!!!

ok so I just got back from thinking I was going to have a nice time at dinner with my girlfriend, well I can tell you that it did not turn out that way. I mean do not get me wrong, the food was actually appetizing, but the service was HORRIBLE!!!! Who is a waiter and does not tell your customers your name???? That was the one thing that threw me off right away. Second of all I understand you have other tables to serve and checkup on as well, but this guy only came up to my girlfriend and I once asking You good? Can it get anymore unprofessional??? 3rd of all after we have got done eating dinner we have to decided to get dessert and I can understand you can insist of getting a certain kind of dessert. Well we decided to go with the chocolate peanut butter pie, and as soon as it came out the waiter said I told yal to go with the brownie obsession because its bigger. Also I was asked if I wanted another diet coke, I replied Yes. I did not get the drink I was asked and went with eating my whole entire dinner without a drink until I asked for it. I do not know if he forgot about it, but he should have been on top of it because its his job, especially since he approched me for it. I do not think I had any waiterwaitress give me their undivided attention in a disrespect manner as he did. The service and atmosphere is uncalled for. Honestly I did not even give him the tip he deserved. All in all, the food was well prepared by the chefs, but the managing needs to be changed ASAP!!!!

All of these negative reviews are dead on. I love TGI Fridays, but this location is the absolute WORST restaurant Ive ever experienced. Im almost embarrassed to admit how many times weve given them another chance. EVERY TIME we felt as if we were in the twilight zone. We couldnt believe the things we were experiencing... during one visit, I was looking for a camera crew and waiting to be told we were on candid camera. Its that unbelievably BAD!! Tonight was officially the last time we will ever step foot in that place. We actually left before we ordered anything. The host never even looked at us, and was finishing up a looong text as we stood there staring at him, waiting to be acknowledged. Also, It was so loud (as usual) but this time it was because of a random band playing (umm its wednesday?) WAY to loud in such a small space. Then, no one came to greet us, so we left before our night got worse. Every other time weve been there, the service was HORRIFIC. One time they refused to give us a reasonable piece of avocado that was supposed to be on one of our sandwiches. Flat out REFUSED. EXTREMELY RUDE, MISERABLY SLOW, INSANELY LOUD, INCREDIBLY INATTENTIVE, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!

Decided to go here for dinner as a family of 3. Put our names in and waited over an hour when we were quoted 30 mins. Every time we asked how much longer the wait was for us the made up new wait times. FINALLY we were seated after an hour and ordered drinks and apps right away. Got the app about a half hour later then everyones food came out before mine and everyone was also done before mine even came out! I get the kitchen gets backed up because Ive worked in a restaurant before but the hostess should of quoted the wait time longer than 30 mins so the cooks have time to cook the meals. So instead of doing that they have to take meals off the bill for the inconvenience. Our server was very good and very apologetic def not her fault. I did notice that other servers were joking around, screaming, and not acting professional. At one point before we left two servers were even having an argument right in front of tables instead of handling it some place else. All in all I liked our server, food was good, environment and experience was a thumbs down.

I just do not understand how anyone could continue to go to eat or drink anything from this restaurant. I went there a few months ago on a date and both the food and waiter was disgraceful. I had not been to this tgif location in over 25 years. This place has changed for the absolute worse. I was embarrassed to have even suggested this place to someone who hadnt ever been there before. My friends baby back ribs were so tough, hard, and cold, that he could not even put a knife through it. I always thought baby back ribs do not require a knife and should fall off of the bone if cooked right. My meal was also not edible. Ghetto, rowdiness, and rundown are the only words I can use to describe this restaurant. TGI FRIDAYS ON CITY AVE IN PHILADELPHIA, PLEASE STOP SERVING SLOP TO PEOPLE LIKE PIGS AND EITHER SHUT DOWN LONG ENOUGH FOR A COMPLETE DEMOLITION AND HIRE ADEQUATE STAFF OR CLOSE THE DOORS OF YOUR ESTABLISHMENT FOR GOOD. IT HAS CAME DOWN TO NOTHING AND COMPLETE SQUALOR OVER THE YEARS; WHAT A SHAME DISGUST AND DISGRACE.

Today was not a good experience. The new drink on the menu for happy hour was horrible.Strawberry Margarita was not the drink i normally experience at TGI. Ordered a turkey burger with provolone cheese. Got a badly cooked turkey burger and something that resembled lettuce and tomato with i suspect, was some kind of american yellow cheese. Fries were not the best and i might add not as many. I was disapointed as in the past the experiece has always been pretty good.But the last three trips to this location has not been a positive experience. Also no one should have to wait fifteen to twenty minutes before a waitress brings a menu to the table. However, i only saw one waitress serving the area in which i was seated. When i left there were at least ten to twelve people waiting to be seated with an entire area available to more than accomodate those waiting. System needs attention.
